THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
Here's my new *Westworld Season 2 Episode 7* video. Lots of big Mythology Payoffs, so post all your theories in the comments. 3 more Episodes to go!
Great Episode
Heat video your videos really help those of us that can not but comic books
Awesome episode!!
That Charlotte... there’s more to her story. I can’t wait to find out what else she’s hiding.
Such a strong episode! I am so glad Ford is back. I loved the cuts between him and Bernard with the gun.
Anthony Hopkins with a fully-automatic is the most charming nightmare I think I'll have tonight.
Its the best thing i've ever seen lol.
Ryan Armstrong fully automatic*
Semi-automatic is not full auto.
Lol
Such a strong episode! I am so glad Ford is back. I loved the cuts between him and Bernard with the gun.
There was a movie this weekend that had that exact same plot twist. It was funny watching this episode after I saw the movie. 👍
Emergency Awesome What movie? Or is that too spoilery?
I think it's Upgrade..
Caissa Lowe -I agree.
Anthony Hopkins. With a machine gun. Nuff said.
This show gets better with each and every episode. Undoubtedly the best show on TV these days. I couldn't have survived the show without your videos, charlie. Thank you.
PS: Did anyone else like how Bernard finally understood the true purpose of the park with variables and controls explanation. ?
Don’t forget about Terminator Teddy
Curtis Campbell Cant wait to get my Teddy Action Figure 😄
lol
Tactical Teddy
One thing is for sure: Delos needs a better security team
It's actually annoying me now. Soldiers from the future are losing to a bunch of cowboys (literal) with weapons from a hundred and fifity years ago. They aren't terminators, they go down just like human, it makes it harder and harder to not just blame bad writing...
antiochus87 THANK YOU. Any time I see a group of delos soldiers I tell my self let’s see if they can even kill 1 host this time
This episode was the most atrocious example. Delos had the advantage of defensive positioning, home turf, numbers even maybe, and somehow they all got massacred. Not that it wasn't obvious that they weren't all just mooks with their leader introduced just an episode ago...
In real life with that kind of gap in technology the more primitive side should be steamrolled. Only in cases of extreme incompetence did the more advanced army ever lose.
StormtrooperWorld will be revealed soon.
James Buoncristiani Jr. Yeah they do. It's like that is an understatement
I come here after each episode just to make sense of everything
Despite that it still leaves me somewhat confused
Do not despair , just watching two reviews back to back from different channels and even the ones who say they understand all seem to have different ideas of the episodes . Nobody is right until the end .
That's the power of this show. Everytime you think you know what's going on, you get thrown off course. The last episodes will answer most our questions, until then expect to get only more questions lol.
Hell yeah this was by far my favorite episode yet.... and was a little easy to follow
greentealatte is it really that confusing, huh?
Anthony hopkins makes everything better
eric cartmendez agreed
Many great moments, but my favorite was the scene with Dolores and Charlotte. The look on Charlotte's name when Dolores revealed she knew everything that was happening was priceless. This is how it looks when a control freak loses all control. The moments between Bernard and Ford were a close second.
William doesnt know how to die.
Raidra -Eclipse He will strike back..
Nor should he. Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris are the strongest parts of the show.
Reflex I come to realize sometimes that these 2 actors playing together in this show and it blows my mind
Ali Berat Arslan Yeah, its unprecedented for a TV show.
I don't want him to die. But that many shots by a Colt 45 should have killed him. Unless he is.......A Host.....Damn it. But I don't think that's what they are saying. He is just unrealistically surviving massive internal organ damage and internal bleeding.
I assume you're not involved with coding or software development. A couple of things:
The cradle was a staging environment. Staging is a server setup or machine environment that is used for testing, debugging and analysis, without compromising the released version.
Debugging, is the act to compare the code to behavior and performance in order to find bugs or unexpected behavior by the program. The way that's portrayed in the show aims more to automatic and unit testing, which are routines for diagnosis, to guarantee that the code is delivering and behaving as expected.
Also, the mention of variables and controllers is also very cool. In software development there's something called design patterns, which are case studies and strategies studied to guarantee abstraction in the code. On of them is called MVC - Model View Controller. The controller layer nests all of the business logic, meaning that, if the hosts are the controllers, they are the ones that define the rules within the system.
The variables are the uncertainties - the values that the system cannot anticipate and can be any value in any given time. The best analogy for it is the X and Y values in equations. Those are the guests - the uncertainty.
They are very cool Easter eggs actually, but there's also a lot more to take into consideration with computer science and AI as far as the show goes.
What a fantastic show this is. Thank you for your awesome review and have a wonderful week!
Am I the only one hoping The Man In Black survives?
the whole time I was watching this ep, I was like, "I need Charlie to explain this to me"
ha ha, awesome ✋
moiraine_damodred l said to my husband after we watched on demand: “time to watch Charlie “ lol
I said the same thing... haha 😂
Literally me everytime.
The cinematography whenever Anthony Hopkins is on screen is so fitting and perfect
Gotta give James Marsden (Teddy) a LOT of credit. To go from a kind gentle cowpoke Teddy, to a cold-blooded Terminator who treats humans like animals is amazing acting. That serious dead-eye stare is chilling. Also, in the whole scene between Charlotte/Ashley and Delores/Teddy the parallels are two-fold. First the pairs seem like mirrors of each other. Ashley and Teddy were both kind gentle men, but are becoming ruthless, with Teddy gone full blown beast mode. Second the pairings seem to mirror Maeve/Hector meeting Akane/Musashi, their doubles.
The timeline is still confusing to me.
How lol
gb nf Actually, I think this much more easier than first season.
Hey Charlie, I believe William is intentionally evading the rescue team so he can stay in the park and play Fords game "to the bone" as he said. Going so far as dealing with his injuries himself, moving forward and staying in the park until everything plays out.
Primate Media yeah, they showed in hiding from them. It doesn’t seem plausible that he would be able to do that after getting so many shots, wasn’t the last one from Lawrence in the chest?
MissM I guess we'll find out next week.
Just finished this episode came straight to your channel for help taken in all that happened in this episode. Never disappointed, you amaze me!
thanks! ✋
Waiting all night just for this video, great job Charlie !
thanks!
I don’t think Charlie was Arnold’s son, but they altered those memories in Bernard’s mind, to motivate him and give him a tragic backstory for some reason. I think Arnold’s “Charlie” was actually Charlotte Hale, maybe? She may have been young enough and circumstances could have made it so that she didn’t know much about her father? I don’t know , it’s just a theory; Charlie is also a nickname for Charlotte
Eliot Simon charlie is male, could be possible though
And she doesn't recognize her father?
Michelle Foucault true,theory debunked
لو زارب احسنلك
Michelle Foucault Or she pretends not to
GOT Easter Egg @ 02:55!.. i cannot remember when this actual scene was in WW - but Ford standing in that room with all of the Hosts' heads lining the wall, doesn't that look just like GOT's Hall of Faces in the House of Black & White ?!?!
Been waiting for this! Needed your help to break down wtf happened haha great vid as always!
awesome! I tried to post a little quicker this week
Emergency Awesome I noticed, great job and keep it up!
Great video Charlie!
PERFECT TIMING!!!! Going to comment now Charlie, THEN watch this!
BTW... Zoolander Teddy this ep had me LOLing with that haircut! LOL
SPOT ON Charlie!
Dare i say that this show > GOT?
what i really LOVE , is that it always seemed like a bit of an oversight from the writers, that Ford would not know about Arnold/Bernard's secret meetings with Dolores. it always appeared in season one, like Arnold was the one trying to get Dolores to do something in secret. when really Ford was doing that. and now revealed ... that all this time, it was truly Bernard being tested. and Dolores was not easily fooled. and so eventually Ford kept them apart. .... but i really love this twist. Dolores was never the one tested in secret , it was Bernard. just love this show.
Westworld is such a great show.
I'm just thinking about poor Felix and Sylvester left behind by Lee LOL.
Dolores is like Magneto and Maeve is Professor X.
Ha! I was thinking the same thing. I thought they were building up the two to have opposing ideologies about hosts and humans, what with Dolores wishing to destroy the humans and Maeve meeting humans that help her, thus being more understanding of them. The power that Maeve now possesses is reminiscent as well!
OMG that episode was IN-TENSE! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm worried though about Maeve. I hope they don't de-power her. Poor Abernathy and what about souped up Teddy? Love James Marsden in this series. I loved him as Cyclops, but......
There’s not enough room in my brain 🧠 so “I’m leaving you with my fear of wicker furniture, my desire to play the trumpet 🎺 , my tentative plans to purchase a hat🧢, and 6 years of improv workshops,,, comedy comes in 3s!!!”
-Rick
Seems appropriate to say after this episode of West World
Ford being in Bernard's head does explain why some people had trouble working out what Bernard says when he sees all the dead hosts in the Valley Beyond. The first time I saw it I did think he said *"I...he killed them"* - as if he was conflicted in some way. Maybe I'm reading too much into how Jeffrey Wright performed the line (the subtitles say "I... killed them", after all) but it would make sense if Ford was forcing his hand.
I was hoping Delores would nail Charlotte to a chair. Totally disappointed! But, Teddy went full on terminator with those punches. Great episode.
I was thinking of brutal ways that Dolores could finish off Charlotte as well :)
Lesa Herndon Agree re: Charlotte. Added benefit: we'd be done with Tessa Thompson's one dimensional acting. #cringeworthy
Also, who else can't STAND Hale?
She was more annoying in the first season when she was polite but an in-crowd pretentious brat. Now that she is a cold hearted villainess I actually like her more.
Nate Boyd yep
Thank u charlie! U truely r awesome im such a fan of ur channel, ur videos & u as a person. u seem such a cool dude id love 2 watch anythin with u as so many little things u do & say i connect with in personal level (1 example u used the scene from the disney's robin hood scene where he steals the gems by kissing the kings hand & suckin them out 2 portray tony stealin the infinity stones from thanos🤭😎) u have a great way of explainin things & makin easier 2 understand & disgest that amoung many other things that we both obviously love! ur the best youtube channel & youtuber period & should b given some kind of award 4 the work u do! Thank u again my friend❤👍🏻
Tonights episode just fixed the premise of the show. At least for me it did.
One of the biggest problems I had with this show going in was that in a world where androids could be constructed to replicate humans so precisely, a theme park seemed like such an arbitrary, superfluous way to utilize them. But with tonights episode, we learned that the real purpose of the park was to be a testing ground for realizing the transhumanist dream of immortality. And the test subjects were the human guests. Plus Anthony Hopkins is back.
Bravo, Westworld. I was wrong about you
Its a nice departure from the original movies from the late 70s where it was discovered the corp behind the park wanted to perfect human-like robots to replicate the guests. Only the super rich and influential had the money to go to the park, and the plan was to make duplicates of them. Kill off the real ones and gain more power and money from their duplicates in the real world.
I absolutely LOVE how B.A.D.A.S.S. Dolores is!!! 😍😍💯💯❤️❤️!! She's honestly my fav!!
Last night's episode was intense af!!
GOOSEBUMPS AND CHILLS ALL AROUND!!
Hunter from what
I hate her. William is the best
Hunter Hate Dolores. Team human ftw
Hunter he’ll yeah she’s so hot this was by far my favorite episode yet....
Fletcher Cameron lol runner up plus he’s not hot no punt intended
I feel like The Man in Black was purposely hiding from QA so he could continue through Ford's game.
thanks for these, not good at confusing time lines (and not a fan of too many time lines in films) glad you're here to explain them!
This show just keeps getting better and better. It's nice to have a show I'm excited to watch every week.
Do you think it’s possible that the red memory core is a red herring (no pun intended)? That the memory core we see Bernard take isn’t the Ford memory core at all, and that that happens at some point off camera. Instead, the memory core is for William and what’s behind the door; a human/host hybrid of his wife? She’s been to the park, they’ve collected data on her, they could manufacture her. It would explain why Emily/Grace is there and what she’s actually hunting for, and it ties back to some of the shots we’ve seen of William in a tuxedo, in the bar with Ford, walking the corridor (trailer 1) in what looks like a hotel, and running up the stairs to where she’s (presumably) dying in the bath; all of which are probably part of the same flashback or simulation.
Maeve didnt force Lawrence to shoot William. She let him remember. And he chose to. Maeve got shot because of Sizemore , she got shot by the guy with him. Bernard says " I,He killed them all. " wait Bernard is made from Arnold no one else.
Correct. It mirrors what Ford said through the girl in the episode where MIB saved Lawrence . It was something along the lines of "One good act wont make a difference " - and Ford's foreshadowing was correct.
Hey! I've got a cool theory for you!
What if the reason that there are so many 'empty' host bodies in the bay is because Delores knows about the explosive device in the spine? Maybe she uses the technology in the Valley Beyond to store all the host's personalities until she can get them new bodies.
It would make sense because Delores is of an older construction possibly without an explosive charge. (Interesting comparisons to Moses the Stranger in a Strange land, leading his people out of exile). I'd love to see you unpack this idea, Emergency Awesome style.
TG for Emergency Awesome!. Even tho I thoroughly enjoy West world, sometimes it leaves me in loops ➿
thanks! These videos are fun to make 👍
I wouldn't be able to enjoy this series as much as I do if it weren't for Charlie. I'd still be trying to figure out if Bernard is a robot or not
Charlie, awesome as always! Gotta admit this was first episode of this season that made me upset, I really didn’t think Bernard would get discovered as a host til next episode and hate that they left it with Maive on the table.
She'll be fine-ish. Sizemore didn't ditch her afterall. Just hid from the murderous hosts.
JediNg135 right, I do feel like he will repair her but don’t think he’ll continue on with her once he does... I hate that Felix wasn’t there with Sizemore to pick her up.
Yeah I wonder where Felix and gang are. They weren't that far behind. As for Sizemore, yeah I don't know that he'll continue. Beyond his general reluctance, he just isn't cut out for it. He is good comedic relief on occasion. I definitely think Sizemore has become sympathetic to Maeve and her goals though. Just a matter of ability and will as to how far his loyalty towards her goes. He did stay behind afterall when he could have just completely ditched her.
Sizemore is realizing that this isnt a rescue mission. He and Maeve can actually go back to the two tech guys. But Maeve's storyline now is a race between her and Delores to get to the Ghost Nation. Maeve is going to get her daughter. Delores wiping out the Ghost Nation thinking they aren't part of the end game she envisions.
JediNg135 yeah, I feel like there were instances like that Sizemore could see that she genuinely had achieved consciousness like when he said “you’re not supposed to have feelings for him, sure you may screw, but never anything more than that”...
As far as Felix and crew they were going toward the ghost nation people so seeing the preview for next week looked heavily “ghost-nation centric” I’m thinking we will see what’s become of them and Maive’s daughter....
I honestly expected William to be saved by his daughter to kinda subvert the whole him killing Maive and Lawrence’s daughters in previous loops at the park.
I am hoping that Bernard/Ford and Deloris made it out of the park but before leaving Bernard left another host backup in the park so they wouldn’t come looking for him. Ugh, I wish Westworld had 13+ episode seasons, at least then we’d be another month closer to Game if Thrones before it ends.
nobody upset about clementine? I really love her character. I am disappointed that they didn't give her a bigger role this season and now she is gone (well you never know with westworld off course). That final scene of hers was bad ass though!
Charlie! thanks for the breakdown, as always. i can now retire to my own *"deep and dreamless slumber"* .. HIGH FIVE
Ayyee!! I'm happy to see my prediction was correct about Ford escaping the cradle!
That Ghost Nation episode looks amazing!
Ford mowing a bunch of people down was fucking amazing! Didn’t know I needed that in my life😂😂👍
so happy anthony hopkins is back! his performance is breathtaking!
That scarface in the dark shot was everything I love about ford and what anthony hoppkins brings to the show.
Great episode, but just one criticism: too many Big Death build-ups where they don't die after all: Maeve, Charlotte, M.I.B.
Deflates dramatic tension. I mean, don't get me wrong: I love Maeve, and would hate her to disappear _ but that's what creates tension, isn't it? (Or maybe I'm too much of a GoThrones fan.)
And yes, I get the fact that she's a host, so she can't die like a human anyway _ but in that case, how are we supposed to care about her being cut down by machine gun fire?
(And the lingering slow-motion sequence implies that the show *does* want us to care.)
I don't feel any great liking for Charlotte or Man In Black/Will, but either of their deaths would have been a Big Deal, a shock.
BTW, this is why I *hate* trailers with a passion, and try to avoid watching them: nothing against you personally, or your clip, but I practically broke the table in rage when you said *"So hey, I knew Charlotte wasn't going to die anyway...".*
I'm just so glad I never knew in advance, and again _ too many of these near-miss scenes takes the air out of the dramatic balloon.
But at least with Dolores v Charlotte, the near-miss and escape was quick and believable. Not so with William/The M.I.B.
We have this long epic gunfight, with Maeve using her powers, with her memories building up the whole business of how much William deserves this fate, culminating in Lawrence seeing him for the first time as he truly is.
And then in the end, William doesn't die either.
Look, one of these near misses would be no cause for complaint. Maybe two, if you factor in Maeve being a host and not dying, as I said before.
But three in one episode, with three of the biggest characters? It just gets boring.
Thank you Charlie for putting us up to date with WW. The person who gets to organize the plot from scratch in chronological order will deserve a statue!!!
intentionally delayed watching the episode till i'm sure your breakdown is up
ha ha, thanks!
Y'know how "Arrow" flashed back to Oliver on the island? So Westworld flashes back (and horizontally to other characters) to whoever Bernard turns out to be.
Great analysis Charlie - you do such great work on such short notice.. I really haven't digested yet. I'll comment later.
this was the best episode of season 2 so far.
jeremiahebert1 maybe the best of the show so far
s1e10 was the best
I literally go straight to your videos after each episodes
I think you missed the trail of crumbs about Maeve's thread and who will fix her...Anyone recall how Narrarive jacked up Maeve's aggression and almost got her retired in S1 but Elsie tuned her up and saved her? Also where did Forarold send Elsie?
To the garage.
Where is Maeve bleeding out?
The garage. Sizemore is a writer...an office guy and probably has no idea how to help Maeve. But Elsie does. Elsie also can nose around in a hosts code and has a keen understanding of Maeve's code. Having her help Maeve will also alow the writers to use exposition (as they did when Bernie figured out the point of the park was to "decode" humans and that is why the narratives don't change and also maybe why Sizemores new narrative was shot down by Ford...it also seems to be a current rewrite....perhaps very recently...if the narratives stay the same, the hosts in the same loop as a control in order to study humans this would also fit with why Shogunworld was a copy of Westworld. It's all the same but the guests change and grow between park visits but the parks all are the same.....except Sizemore claimed he was lazy....also loose and sloppy writing for if the narrative has been the same for 30 years why do you need Sizemore to change and write new narratives?)
Anyway we also will see the breaking point for our Bernie. He has always been a near perfect copy of Arnold only one a slave to Ford. Ford will tell him he had to kill Elsie or also Maeve and Sizemore or Elsie will need to be saved and Ford will tell him to let her die....
Since Elsie isn't in the current time line that means......
But what reason does Elsie have to save Maeve ? Its the full on robot revolution with every host out to get humans. She nearly blasted Bernard when he untied her in the cave as well. If anything probably Sizemore will beg Elsie to save Maeve. Cause i dont think she would just spot Maeve and go " oh hey i will fix her up "on her own.
Dolores: “Bernard, I release you from your spell!”
Ford in Bernards body: “Hahahahahha you have no power here Dolores the Grey”
Dolores: “I will draw you Ford as poison is drawn from a wound”
Ford: “If I go, Bernard dies”
Dolores: “You did not kill me and you will not kill him”
Ford: “BERNARD IS MINE”
Dolores: *Swings staff*
Ford: *Gets purged from Bernards head*
This is how I want Bernard getting freed of Ford to look like lol
Perfect timing haha I just finished the episode 😂
awesome! I wasn't thinking about how long the episode was. But for some reason I finished this video faster than in previous weeks.
Emergency Awesome yeah this is up way earlier than normal haha, not complaining though!
Thanks again Charlie. Always appreciate your help in explaining to me what I just saw. I could really use that same insight on Legion?
I saw the Ford revelation coming a mile away, but it's still good to see Anthony Hopkins back.
My main problem with the show is their insistence on using multiple timelines, it adds unnecessary complexity and suspense while also undermining it in other areas (e.g. We all knew Hale would be fine because she's appeared it flashforwards without a scratch on her). The writers seem to be addicted to unnecessary time jumps that just damage the storyytelling and make most episodes of the season a mess without drawing them together. It irritates me because it spoils otherwise amazing episodes.
Also, am I the only one annoyed how coyboys from over 200 years ago with weapons of their age are defeating soldiers from the future (incompetent mooks who never wear helmets) consistently without any explanation? The hosts are not terminators, they go down just as easy as humans, superior technology and tactics alone should mean that the hosts get utterly destroyed without some massive ace in the hole. But no, Dolores and her small band always win without no explanation.
The music in this episode was absolutely amazing! Ramin Djawadi right? The same guy that does GoT?
Right after i watch the latest episode to come here. You rock Charlie!!!!
Loved this episode. Thanks for the excellent break down. Where are Felix and Sylvester?
Bernard has finally entered the centre of the maze, his visions of Ford are actually his interpretation of his own conciousness
Yeah, nah
it's his fractured psyche seeking justification and catharsis by pinning all the blame for the dark desires on a manifestation of Ford.
Gregory, that’s a brilliant idea/theory!
But Ford is actually in the cradle - this was literally the reveal. It's not Bernard.
that's just part of his programming, a simulated Ford to help him deal with his inner demons -- by literally manifesting a demon as Ford. it's sort of like MPD but for AI. think Split.
Thank you Charlie, no one does reviews like you. Stay awesome 👍
can we just appreciate how good the attack/slaughter scene at the control room was with beethoven playing. so great
So, what is in Abernathy's mind? The only thing I can think of is an uber dead-man switch to kill all the hosts. If that is the case then why didn't Delores destroy it? I think because it's actually her that kills all the other hosts in the lake by the end of the season. I don't see Bernard / Ford's motivation for doing so but if Delores can make herself immune and use it as cover to get out of the park I think she'd do it - she real;ly cares for nothing but herself now her father's gone.
Meanwhile - they intend to do *three more seasons* of Westworld. It looks like Delos have control of the park again by the end of this season so I can only see the story going one of two ways. Most likely some hosts escape the park - this would be a change for the show as so far it's been all sweeping vistas and that going to change if suddenly the hosts are hiding out in the real world. However, another option is that Ford really has set everything up for the hosts for the future and "the door" is something that will mean a vast fundamental difference to the world such as releasing a devastating virus that decimates humanity. That way the hosts get to build their new civilisation uninterrupted and can do it inside the park.
saw the episode, got the breakdown, now I can rest
This episode was Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiireeeee 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Charlie, I can't believe you missed it. Lee didn't save Maeve out of kindness, or so she could continue her quest to save her daughter. He told the Delos soldiers: "Not her, she's special. We need her." They need Maeve to regain control of the park because she can issue voice commands to the hosts over the mesh network, something no one else - host or human - can do. I do think Sizemore does have some sympathy for Maeve, but don't call Lee's arc redemptive just yet.
Damn, couldn't stop myself watching before the season ends, now I have to wait the whole week for the next episode 😔
I have watched a lot of recap and fan theroy vids for this episode but you said a few things that no one else said and I thought were very interesting! Like when Barnard said "Oh my god, I killed them all" you are saying that was actually Ford talking through Barnard? That is very interesting but I'm not so sure. It doesn't really seem like something Ford would say, but it could be. Also about us winding up back at Arnold's house with Doloris at the end of the season. That would be a great come back around and tie it all together. They did simalar things in Season 1 so this seems like it makes sense. Well, keep up the great work, buddy!
Thank you, this is very helpful.Cus I was completely lost last night.
Good stuff as always. The only miss was that the finding of Arnold/Bernard backups did not literally happen in Episode 7, it actually happened in Episode 6
I totally think we'll see Arnold's house again--I suspect there may be secrets within it too.
Also, did we really get a confirmation that the Host being made in Ford's basement was just another Bernard, because just because there are a lot of Bernards there, doesn't mean that it is a Bernard and also, because there seems to be no reason for it, unless that's part of the process for Bernard geting his conscious back at some point.
But I think it would be a better reveal if it was someone esle at some point, like Ford in season 3 or if we learn Bill is a host and he was recantly concieved sometime before season 2.
What a mind blowing Episode and each detail explained precisely 😍
I thought the man in Black was hiding from the extraction team when they rolled in??
needed this video so much...
thanks!
Yeah this episode had me lost
I think the man in black is a host. Not only is he hard to take down with bullets but out of everyone that has visited the park he has to be one of the most important to attempt a copy of. As last episode explained, the purpose of the park is to build profiles of the visitors personalities and repeated visits are to ensure "fidelity". He has been visiting the park for 30 years, and he also runs the organisation that funds it and that is currently trying to take control of everything. There was also a few lines that may be a clue, when he was talking to his daughter about how they used to visit Raj World all the time when she was young, he mistakenly remembers how she used to hate the elephants, but then she corrects him with an almost surprised look on her face saying that it was actually her mother that hated them, and that she loved them, possibly eluding to a small error in his fidelity. There was also the scene where he used the medical tool on himself, usually used on damaged hosts but that might be nothing.
I'm going to be watching him very carefully from now on. I can just see it now; the last line spoken in the finale will be the man in black saying "looks like nothing to me"
This show just keeps getting better
I am so confused by the timeline jumping at this point. Thank you Charlie for helping us out.
*I love these easter egg videos from you Charlie theyre really awesome and helpful!!*
Awesome video Charlie. Clementine made my night.
Teddy went *Full-On Theodore* in this episode.
SUPER TEDDY :)
Michelle Foucault teddy is a bitch
There is no TV story telling reason to have Bernard whisper silently as seen through glass and then immediately follow it up with "tell them what you just told me” unless there is some difference in what he said. Is Charlotte a host and BerFord gave her a vocal override? Can't believe you didn't mention Chekov's whisper.
Also, what was with all that lamaze breathing when they find the other Bernard hosts? Bernard has been well aware that he is a host for quite a while. I have assumed they couldn't tablet debug a human host (ala James Delos) because it's a different programming language / structure, so that would tend to rule out glassesless Bernard being one of those. Was he just acting for his Delos Corp audience?
TheBashar99 is
+TheBashar99 Bernard knows he’s a host but he didn’t realize he’s a host built on a human memory continuousness. He didn’t know he is essentially Arnold but through the lens of Ford and Delores’s memories, he also didn’t realize there had been multiple attempts at perfecting him with multiple bodies just like Delos.
Am I early? Is this what power feels like...?
Ford-Level Neo Matrix Power
No. This is a test....for fidelity
This episode was so good. Delores vs Charlote and Ford Taking control of Bernard left me gosebumps. I was kinda hoping when Charlote was questioning Bernard Ford would take over turn to her and say the Game has just begun my dear
Great vid, Charlie. Did the episodes in this season imply that putting human consciousness in the host is not possible but combination of host and human minds is?
Great video thanks so much!
Charlie badass video, this is one the best tv shows now.
Best. Episode. *EVER* .
Awesome video as usual. Keep up the good work. I really hope we see more of Ford going forward with this show. Ford, is the Alpha and the Omega lol
Great video. This was a good episode.
Bernard's clothes change inside the Cradle. 2:30 --> 5:15. Maybe different moments... or different Bernards. Btw, the second shirt looks like this: 8:27.
Thanks, Charlie. Another great post. The Door, the Valley Beyond, all these to me are about the same thing - an actual door to a tunnel to the mainland off the island. Also, I think the MIB hid himself before Sizemore and company saw him - that's why he stayed. I think the MIB will help Dolores leave the island.
Ford right now is basically Westworld’s Shadow King (from Legion) and I’m loving it.
Charlie, I really wish you would watch the masterpiece that is The Expanse.
I second that, the most underrated sci-fi series.
Bernard Bowl any one?
I predict Arnold had a Duaghter. Mavericks is not just protecting her daughter as you see it. But, all of WW was a cover for A to -save- his child with brain cancer. A reason to need human like minds.
