The so-called lightning detector only beeps when he disconnect the circuit this is typical behavior for LCR circuits, it’s called back EMF. Nothing too astounding here. It simply proves that regular electrical principles of physics still work on the ranch.
Whenever you "disconnect" an active electrical circuit, there will be a "spark". That is what the detector was sensing. The "spark" will be of greater voltage than the source.
@@chuckjordan6455 you are right. Far from being all about credentials, recognition or qualifications (all these people have those, too), being a "scientist" at its core simply means you follow a rigorous, repeatable methodology and use the scientific method to explain the world around you.
You can sit a fully charged 12 volt battery directly onto the ground and it will be completely dead by morning. You can sit it on a piece of wood and it will not lose any power at all. Also, I am an avid camper/backpacker and I noticed that after sleeping directly on the ground, it seemed more difficult to get up next morning as opposed to getting out of bed at home. As the years passed and I got older it became more and more difficult and now at 70, I can no longer sleep directly on the ground.
hi guys, i work as an engineer (although I'm not an electrical engineer by training): I just fix solid state devices and optimize systems most of the time. electrolytes are any mineral that transmit an electric charge. We dont actually know, in this case, what voltages set off Eric's "lightning meter" (and why he decided to wear one) :) what I think is happening here, is a simple change in electrical potential. when guy in blue shirt disconnects battery circuit, a change in atmospheric electrical potential occurs (known as a discharge) . the discharged current is being detected by the lightning meter. as far as I recall all electrical charges will seek earth (returning to a neutral state). as other commentators have pointed out, a control circuit wasn't used (meaning a detector might "beep" everywhere with a 12v circuit, not just the ranch). conclusion: they're probably just detecting an "ambient electrical discharge" from the 12v circuit... peace. thanks for reading.

Tesla Tesla Tesla If areas have a high concentration of magnetite, anomalies occur, but this can be harnessed for energy. ‘Spin water’ in the Antarctic ICE (solid water) is magnetic. Check the earths EM pattern, do they flow to or come from these points at the ranch?
Changing electric field causes a changing magnetic field and vice versa. When you disconnected the ground circuit you collapsed the magnetic field causing an electric field spike, setting off your lightning detector. A reproducible effect, but not mysterious.

Almost all soil is conductive, so it is no surprise they got a reading, especially since the water table isn't that far below the surface. If they were following the scientific method, they would have compared their readings to soil conductivity charts to see how their reading compared to others. Taylor said he wasn't expecting a reading that high, which means he hasn't bothered to look up a soil conductivity reference.

The resistance of soil can vary widely depending on several factors, including moisture content, mineral composition, temperature, and compaction. As a result, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to what constitutes "typical" soil resistance values. However, here are some general guidelines: Dry Soil: Dry soil typically has higher resistance due to the lack of moisture, which serves as a conductor. The resistance of very dry soil can range from hundreds to thousands of ohms per foot. Moist Soil: Soil with moderate moisture content generally has lower resistance compared to dry soil. The resistance of moist soil can range from tens to hundreds of ohms per foot. Wet Soil: Saturated or very wet soil offers the lowest resistance due to the high moisture content, which enhances conductivity. The resistance of wet soil can range from a few ohms to tens of ohms per foot. Clay vs. Sandy Soil: Clay soil tends to retain more moisture and typically has lower resistance compared to sandy soil, which drains water more quickly and may have higher resistance. Seasonal Variation: Soil resistance can also vary seasonally, with resistance typically decreasing during wetter seasons and increasing during drier seasons. Based on the above facts, the soil resistance of of about 43 ohms (12V/0.28A) for about 50 feet length of soil is not too low. It is the normal value of resistance that can be expected. I think there is some misunderstanding here. This is not to offend any one. I totally and fully appreciate the rest of the findings of the investigating team and I am really blown away by the realization that how very little we know about our world.
That is an immensely low resistance for soil. Consider a charged car battery at 13.5 volts, and 50 feet of soil conducting 280 mA, Ohms law calculates the resistance of the soil at 48.2 ohms, or slightly less than 1 ohm per foot. This is an insanely low number. Normally even damp soil will have a resistance of many thousands or even tens of thousands of ohms per foot.
Unless you test your environment first you don't have a baseline from which to measure. Any thing could have been buried there for years. This is not 🚫 science and will provide absolutely nothing!

Question: What does electricity/electric currents have to do with aliens? I may have flunked every science class I had from K-12 but I still feel smarter then the four of them combined.
A survey found two similar anomalies on two separate areas of the ranch. They wanted to know if there could be some connection between the two anomalies which prompted them to measure the conductivity in the dirt. According to them, that high of an electrical reading in the ground could imply that there's some kind of underground energy source. If there is & it turns out to be an unnatural source of energy, they'd need to answer 2 questions...what is the source & who put it there?
Should've said paranormal. That's definitely an association with electromagnetic fields and paranormal activity. Biggest scientists on this planet still have ZERO answers to the paranormal, let alone aliens 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@100pyatt I wouldn't say zero answers. There is plenty of research into the effects of high and especially low frequencies on humans and low frequencies especially have been known to induce feelings of dread in people and just an overwhelming sense of something being wrong.
We used to get night crawlers for fishing when I was a kid they same way. It's moisture content. You can check how seasoned firewood is the same way. Maybe the so called scientists needed a small hat trick to make the tinfoils say ooooooo Ahhhhhhh!
HYBRID DEMONS TO BE EXACT ....but the word alien could fit also . but its from here underground ...and the 2nd heaven. things are getting crazy ....Son OF God ....jesus get to know him
It's not aliens. It's one of these, A) Deep underground base(just humans), B) secret government Maglev from area 51 to Dugway Utah C) Demonic. I think if it is the government they are using advanced technology to try and scare them. I think the lights in the sky, objects they are seeing on the ground and dizziness/pain and unusual readings are a combination of advanced holography, microwave and/or magnetic field weapons and advanced spacecraft(not aliens)
Knowing the depth of the water table is critical, guys. The reading you're taking, because of the 50' spread of the electrodes, is at a depth of 50'. If the water table is close to that, you're seeing the current through the water, mostly. Also, the ground can generate voltage, depoending on the minerals present. You should do a test for ground voltage, too. No battery. Just the voltage.
And repeat the experiment at a dozen or so different locations. This is one of the most frustrating aspect of watching the show; one-off "experiments" and the wow factor.
Of course if your conducting a current with a long length of wire , your going to get "back EMF" which would likely trigger a lightning detector. Though this is basic stuff, so I wonder why this explanation is "missing" ? Though would be interesting to drill 2 deep holes, bang in 2 metal rods at a good distance, and short them out to "discharge" the range , see if it implodes :)
What would be really interesting 🤔 if you could get John Hutchinson using his UHF frequency experiments … he has wittiness when using these waves you can see little creatures an angels walking around.
Oh wow did you not realize from the start history channel is not credible? But the team in the show is. Just the TV people wanna make it sensationalized
This is what I get from what is shown here; The ground is remarkably conductive, allowing a relatively high current flow. The lengths of wire plus the ground form an inductance. Disconnecting the battery from the circuit produces a high voltage back emf pulse (this is a well known phenomenon in electronics), this very brief but high voltage pulse produces a strong electric field vector in the immediate surroundings. The lightning detector is triggered by sensing high voltage pulse vectors. So it is no surprise that it sounded off. What this has to do with e.t’s I have no idea, a clickbait title.
Inductive kick back through your long wire that I see in the video (and the ground path can also be considered) sets off the lightning alarm.. Basic electronics, review inductive kickback. Duh. When I was in grade school, I learned that the Earth's soil is conductive. It varies of course, but in general, the resistance is very low. This is why you attach your home's electrical system to a grounding rod, for example. In high school, I learned that disconnecting a conductor from a live system will create some level of electrical discharge (that is, arcing), and a car battery sources plenty of current for creating an arc. Atmospheric electrical discharge is what lightening detectors are designed to detect, so pulling a wire off a live electrical circuit that is 12 inches away from a lightening detector is going to set it off. So, they use an entire tv segment to demonstrate two concepts that any adult already knows, and somehow determine that this must prove the existence of an alien civilization?! How stupid do they think we all are?

The Earth is an electrolyte. That's how radio works. You need to get an engineer to help you.
That would run counter to the sham they are running
You can sit a fully charged 12 volt battery directly onto the ground and it will be completely dead by morning. You can sit it on a piece of wood and it will not lose any power at all. Also, I am an avid camper/backpacker and I noticed that after sleeping directly on the ground, it seemed more difficult to get up next morning as opposed to getting out of bed at home. As the years passed and I got older it became more and more difficult and now at 70, I can no longer sleep directly on the ground.

They should absolutely have a team of experts in different domains to help them investigate the ranch
hi guys, i work as an engineer (although I'm not an electrical engineer by training): I just fix solid state devices and optimize systems most of the time. electrolytes are any mineral that transmit an electric charge. We dont actually know, in this case, what voltages set off Eric's "lightning meter" (and why he decided to wear one) :)
what I think is happening here, is a simple change in electrical potential. when guy in blue shirt disconnects battery circuit, a change in atmospheric electrical potential occurs (known as a discharge) . the discharged current is being detected by the lightning meter.
as far as I recall all electrical charges will seek earth (returning to a neutral state). as other commentators have pointed out, a control circuit wasn't used (meaning a detector might "beep" everywhere with a 12v circuit, not just the ranch). conclusion:
they're probably just detecting an "ambient electrical discharge" from the 12v circuit...

The resistance of soil can vary widely depending on several factors, including moisture content, mineral composition, temperature, and compaction. As a result, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to what constitutes "typical" soil resistance values. However, here are some general guidelines:
Dry Soil: Dry soil typically has higher resistance due to the lack of moisture, which serves as a conductor.
We’re on the Truman show on a massive scale and you found the edge!! All jokes aside, I love what you are doing there!!
Normally even damp soil will have a resistance of many thousands or even tens of thousands of ohms per foot.
in turn another layline area perhaps and a great spot for tesla wireless energy

This is what I get from what is shown here;
The ground is remarkably conductive, allowing a relatively high current flow.
