My second trip to Sebring was in 65. My father entered a Ferrari 330P. (#26 under Scuderia Bear) That was the first time I saw the GT 40 & Daytona Coupes. It made a very lasting impression. The following year we were back with GT 40 #1029 and a 427 Cobra. I still have the original invoice from Ford Advanced Vehicles.
Cars like this show up every Saturday morning at Katie’s starting at 6am, I think the guy with the Daytona has a Continuation Series 427 Cobra. The types of cars that frequent Katie’s is very diverse and 99.5% are killer
The Daytona Coupe was introduced in 1964 when it competed in the World Manufacturers GT Championship. It came in Second Place in 1964 and won the series in 1965.
Im sure its a replica. But the replica companies are doing a phenomenal job producing them. Superformance actually got the blessing from shelby and brock! Still amazing to see as rolling chassis from them are 200,000+. Factory five is better at about 21,000 they use a fiberglass body instead of an aluminum one like superformance and the original .
You simply don't take a 7 million dollar car to a neighborhood car show. So ya....it's a replica. I'd still love to have it...but it's not the real thing.
It's funny how these guys are going so easy on the accelerator while kids with shitty cars with ebay exhausts would have been revving their garbage hoping people will notice them...
That Daytona was beautiful...
It's hard to upstage a GT but it did.

What a time to be alive, I'm jealous

I think that Daytona is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen
That Daytona is very well done replica.
Every true man needs one of these vehicles in their garage. End of discussion on that. If you dont agree the Tesla dealership is at your local mall
So I guess 99% of us aren't true men because...fuck who can afford these?
@@inf187 He's saying a true man owns a loud and powerful ICE vehicle, not an electric. And as a woman I agree.
If I listen to that and the Daytona long enough I’ll blow a wad in my skivvies!!!

Very cool I'll take both of them home
Nice! That looks like Katie's cars and coffee. There were always really beautiful and high end cars there.
The 12.1:1 Static compression ratio in that GT40 sure does the trick.
Man I forgot all about the Shelby Daytona!!!!!
PELO AMOR DE DEUS!!!!!!!!!QUE SOM LINDO.ISSO É UM BALSAMO PARA OS OUVIDOS.
Very cool !
no better muscle cars than the shelby's
Es un Carrazo ese GT
I want one
FE. is king..
A real GT40 has US plates on it, period!
Looks like a Superformance.
The Daytona what a car is it superformance??
Why is the GT40s right pipe so crooked .
they’re both the same length, its just offset a little cause the piston arrangement
sounds like a tracktor
1:11 a Viper near to a Daytona!!!
ゼッケン14ハンパない凄さ=3
欲しい!!
Original or Superformance?
Factory Five. Gas cap is on passenger side. Superformance has them in driver side.
Enjoy it while it lasts thanks to govt wanting us in electric cars and public transport.
you must live somewhere democratish.
Has to happen anyway as with continual population growth you won't be able to move your car soon ...
the road to hell is paved w/ democrat intentions....
TJ And it's the republicant's that were driving the paving machine.
This comment hits different these days. Now GM is saying no combustion engine cars past 2040 along with a number of other companies.
Made in usa ek?..next
Are they real?
Sorry GM and mopar
I think they copied some of the of the Daytona for a viper body shape wise
I actually thought the same thing as that Viper went past.

Not surprised. Both designed by the same guy. He knew what looked good and worked.
@@westonpaschal5078 nope
@PSk your right, I stand corrected. However Shelby had a heavy hand getting the GT to where it needed to be.
They don't make cars like they use to, same with beautiful woman
Kind of sounds like a replica to me. Not as loud as original, sounds a little muffled?
It very well could be a replica. I'm not sure 100% for either one. If they are replicas they are very well done examples.
130starfish I know for a fact the gt40 is a replica but i couldn't tell about the daytona as much

There are only 6 originals in the world, I doubt very much that you have heard them.

The GT40's exhausts have been riced.
It's the 180 degree header design (bundle of snakes) that make them sound like a flat plane V8.
Why didn't they just use a flat crank? Same for all that Gurney-Westlake nonsense which never paid off.
It's funny how these guys are going so easy on the accelerator while kids with shitty cars with ebay exhausts would have been revving their garbage hoping people will notice them...
Engine noise is the least interesting aspect of these cars.
All these guys getting pictures like mindless drones, so they can show their buddies "wanna see a picture of dis car I sawded dis one time?"
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe .. i have 1:43
