I'm retired now but I painted and built custom show cars for 35 years and made Hot Rod's top 10 3 times, had cars featured in every top car magazine in print..... If I we're to ever have one of those it would be that spec..... In my decades of experience I have found that 99% of the comments saying how bad it is are coming from people that will never be able to afford one..... Just say'n..... Rock on Ed!!!!!

The Veyron never "spoke" to me, even when it first came out. Incredible engineering, but in the same way that my favorite brand Porsche, doesn't possess Italian flair like a Lamborghini, Ferrari or even a British McLaren, the Veyron impresses with it's abilities, not it's pure beauty. But WTF does it matter what I, or anyone else think about its looks? Bugatti made very few and they only needed a small percentage of the world population to love it. Congratulations Ed, and I wish you more happiness than even you think this car will bring you! Well done.
I hated the popularity that Veyron got at the time. I remember arguing with my car friends that its overpriced junk and if I had the money I would buy a Koenigsegg.

Exactly! It hits on the nose at first but as you look at it more, it becomes more appealing. You start noticing the details, like the clear taillights. The silver and chrome on the car plays into that red more than any other color combo imo.

EB110 is such a nice car, since VW bought Bugatti, it became a shiny toy for ultra rich. Since debut of Koenigsegg's CC platform I was always dreaming about owning one of those swedish rockets, but EB110 would be good too. Also I have soft spot for 300ZX headlights

Having veyron as a hotwheel, is already a blessings to me. Having a real bugatti veyron is a whole another level.
Honestly I don’t actually mind the spec of Ed’s new veyron, I know a ton of people are a bit “meh” on it but at the end of the day, it’s still a Bugatti and the goal has been acquired 🎉
I'm usually the one to hate seeing cars in any other spec than the 2-3 basic ones you see on most of the pictures, but this doesn't look bad at all..

Am I the only one that loves Ed's Bugatti spec? Usually I wouldn't like it, but it's a bugatti. It's outlandish, granted a little flexy, but I do like it. Maybe it's more the fact that the Veyron is my favourite hypercar of all time
Personally I'd spec my Veyron like the Top Gear one, but this thing has a whole lot of style. It wouldn't work on 99% of cars, but it fits the Veyron perfectly.

One of the most stunning looking Bugs I've seen was red (with red interior), but with the central section from nose to tail (and wing) painted black. A change of wheels and a bit of black paint would enhance the look of this car no end, I feel.
The only thing i dont like is the red in the wheels.

I stated previously that Ed would never leak any of his true Bugatti interests/leads online, I stand corrected.
Generally I don't talk about them until they are actually secured or I have ruled out the possibility of a deal.

The rear end of the veyron is one of my favorites it’s so simple. That’s era of super car is unmatched imo maybe I’m just biased cause I’m 28. Early 2000s was the peak of car design
It is absolutely mind blowing to me how negative the r/spotting community is. If the post isn't a Skyline or a classic 911 Turbo, the comments are so hateful that its almost like they get offended that the OP even saw the car they're excited about. when i first saw this, i was like, meh, rich guy buys bugatti, great. but then when he started to say the things that were missing, the owners and the check engine light and that they did some service on it and so on, i burst out laughing thinking this is, at the end of the day, the most Ed Bolian purchase ever. Kind of the same as the green Murcielago. bottom line, i'm entertained, i hope you keep us updated on the ownership and congrats on the purchase!

I'd never say a Veyron is ugly, but the styling is very "mid 2000's" the way a car with huge tail fins and chrome bullet bumpers is "mid 50's." Some cars are timeless classics, this isn't one them. It's still a hypercar, it's still iconic, it's still an incredible engineering achievement and it's still awesome to see someone achieve their lifelong goal. For $1mm or whatever Ed spent, it's at the bottom of my list, but I would love to rent one for a weekend.

I'm James McGilley living in Kansas City, Missouri. Ed great car but you should repaint it or at least wrap it and maybe have Al13 make a custom wheel for you. But huge congratulations for finding a Bugatti Veyron that wasn't flooded.
