Wish I would have seen this video before I installed my RageFab receiver hitch winch plate combo. The studs wanted to push in, would have thought they would have been captive.
I just got mine, the back plate is 1/8 inch not 3/16 like the description says. Funny thing is the chain eyelets are 3/16. Why would you not make the backplate as strong as possible?
These receiver hitches are made of 3/16" steel with a max towing capacity of 1500lbs. I assure you that it will handle anything you throw at it within reason.
I just recieved one of those nice hitches, as I was getting ready to install it I was wondering how is this with driving rough terrain like rock crawling? I'm thinking to return it any suggestions or thoughts?
You will never notice it is back there. This is a solid upgrade if you ever feel you'll need to use a hitch to pull something or add a tow hook back there.
Key is to lift it off the ground, possibly remove the wheels to work with the arms .
I love my new hitch . Great work superatv
Thanks for the comment Daniel.
Just a recommendation it would be great to also know torque specs for adding SuperATV accessories. Great videos 👍
Noted, thanks for your feedback!

What kind of lift are you using to lift the machine off the ground?
What is the make and model of the lift you use in this video?

@@SuperATVMedia Measure the thickness of your plate that attaches to the X3. Mine is 1/8" and that is with the powder coat.
Can I tow a 1000 pound overland trailer with this set up on my can am RR?
You sure can! The max towing Capacity with this hitch is 1,500lbs.

I don't know, the back of the x3 looks pretty flimsy
Is there a wiring harness out there for trailer lights?
Possibly, but we do not manufacture or use one to be able to direct you.
Any luck on harness?
What about the trailer lights?
Great idea!

You'll drag and bottom out possibly getting you stuck if you ride with ball on hitch.
