- ZRP Rear Radius Rod Plate Install. This is a must have mod if you plan on pushing your Can Am Maverick X3 to the limits. The ZRP rod plate absorbs a lot of load that is transferred from your radius rods, and acts as a bulkhead for your rear end. This is a educational video on a Can Am Maverick X3 RC Turbo. Strength with style... best of both worlds!! Two thumbs up 👍👍
Thanks Dan!
I ordered the ZRP plate this weekend. Stock one is bending.
I’m with you on the stock arms. I bought two extra sets of new take offs on Craigslist. $40 a set. If I ever bend one I’ll go back to camp and spend 30 minutes changing it out.
Nice! Sounds like a good plan. Thanks for watching!
It really does look much better with that plate you just installed and much stronger to .
How's the new Garage fellas
Thanks Peter! The new garage is going great! We are still outfitting it with tools. Its definitely nice having heat. Lol
Liked the video, I’ve got X3 xmr with the same thin plate thinking about a diffrent plate. Are you still happy with the zrp plate?
Yes I am very happy with the zrp plate. No issues at all.
Any chance this throws the alignment off at all? I'm installing my CA Technologies plate today and just curious.
Not at all. Its direct replacement for stock. Just built better and stronger.
The plate is thicker but where the bolts are can’t be much thicker than the original?
Have you all done the front gusset kit with bulk head and shock tower?
No I have not done it yet. It is a big job and basically have to take the whole front end apart. That's one of the things that disappointed me with the X3. I shouldn't have to do something like that to a new unit. Just my thoughts. Thanks for watching!
@@UTVDIRT oh I absolutely agree 100% on both of what you said. Yes a big job and yes I feel you on why can am didn't send that out double shear from factory. Just started my X3 journey of dumping money on structural flaws. Still love it but as you said disappointed...
So what poundage on the talk did you end up putting on that
I went 100 foot pounds of torque.
#BuckeyeNation 😎
How long did it take to line up. Thanks
Probably about 5 minutes.
We’re is the link for that ?
I have two different links in the description of the video. Just depends which one you want color wise.
How’s the plate holding up?? I am thinking about buying one.
Holding up great. No issues at all with the plate.
You should have replaced the studs too.
Ther is no way you guys will out ride the stock arms on that machine. Spend the money on on more cosmetic stuff👍
That's the plan for right now. Hopefully they will last because I would much rather spend the money on other mods I want.
Use XRC rods in the meanwhile. They’re a bit stronger and more clearance too. That’s what I did to my XRS and it’s been awesome
