    Great advice Tai. I actually did what you mentioned. I got my foot in the door at a hospital. Eventually I realized it really wasn't for me. Saved me tons of money before investing it in a Masters program.
    Anyone else care to share their experience?

      I'm working at a cricket ground. I have a mentor. he's teaching me all he knows about hospitality. life lessons to. I get called mini me all the time because I'm striding to be like him. or get called twin. or his Un born son etc etc. in my own way I'm alike him.. but with a twist. I will be the best there is. I promise. not to you but to my self. like tai said. if everything you touch turns to gold. you will be rich. now every time a customer leaves my hospitality suite I make sure they know my name. when I set up my suite I make it perfect. or as close as I can. like my mentor says 99% of people won't notice the effort and detail you do to make your room look like this. but the one % that does is the people you want to impress. so if that means make sure my table cloth is level all the way. I eill do everything I can to do that. today a cloth took me 25 minutes. people call me slow at it. honestly I don't care.yhe 1% that will notice that is who I care. I could go on but your probably getting bored. I had a bad upbringing to.not terrible as others but not good. witch made me who I am. before I go. how old do you think I am

    I have been watching your videos and reading articles you reference for the past two days for hours before my job. I am so tremendously thankful for the information you make available Tai, you are currently changing my life. You are helping motivate me into the right position to fine tune my goals and really make my plan turn into action producing results. You have very quickly become a mentor of mine through social media and again for that, I would like to thank you greatly. Here is to the ambitious ones. Cheers, -Evan

    This is good advice. I worked in the tv/film industry doing audio post production in hollywood a few years back and my first job i offered to do sound design on the first episode for free, and if the director liked my work, then we could talk about working together in the future. Sure enough, I was hired after him hearing my work.
    Gotta give to receive!

    I work 24/7 on my university degree and I kept listening to calming electronica on The Sound You Need. The advert of you with the car and the book shelf in the garage kept popping up and my first thoughts were "Oh here we go, another scam-artist." I've been involved in network marketing before and that has led me to become weary about rags to riches stories and buzz words. However, your videos are EXTREMELY insightful and I spent the entire day listening to them and have even bought a few of your recommended books. I just want to say thanks a whole bunch!

    Thanks Tai I'm on my way! For those wondering how to make money while working for free may I offer a bit of advice. Learn a skill and/or offer a service to others that you can already do. I taught myself how to crochet because I knew that was something I could do at home or anywhere for that matter while working for free. I also do housekeeping in affluent neighborhoods because I can charge more ($20 per hour)and have a more flexible schedule. I now make about $80 a day with crochet(i have an etsy online store) plus a steady $300 per week from housekeeping. I'm 40 yrs and I'm doing it. I desire to become a mechanical engineer. Now to find to mentor and I most certainly will! Best of wishes to everyone

    This is one of the most impressive bit of information I have ever come across UA-cam. I watched this video 3x in a row just to let this wisdom soak in. It's elegant, insightful & easy to remember. 1. Get your foot in the door. 2. Be impressive; know stuff, be on time, pay attention to your appearance/presentation & act like you own the business. This is all gold. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. Nicely done sir, I salute you!

    People accept "No" too easy...
    "No" is the catch all "gate-keeper" phrase to turn away time wasters. People are too interested in hand outs rather than seeking, what I call "Contributory rewards"... If you are willing to contribute more to society and make sacrifices, your will be rewarded for the value of that contribution. Staying hungry, for success is the only thing that will give you the motivation to be diligent so you can contribute 10x more than the average person. In other words, if your efforts cannot be distinctly different, in value, to what the average person produces, you will never have more than the average person.
    I hope this helps someone out there.
    Tai, as always...
    Great content!
    Keep up the Great Work
    Sincerely,
    Lance Thomas Davidson

    The best way I found to find a mentor is to realize they *are out there* and willing to help. Look under a *charity online*. A homeless shelter, a child advocate group, any kind of community based organization. And look under the donors. They are easy to find. But don't bother them. Be candid and explain your situation where you want to be and leave it at that. If they help *great!* if *Not* move on. *DO NOT* Explain about how miserable you are or how you have no money. Misery or sob stories will leave you on the street alone. I hope this helps someone who is sincere about getting *a hand up, not a hand out.*

    Tai, I hope you see this. It is because of these simple truths that I stayed at my crap job washing cars for $10 bucks an hour, and 4 months later I got promoted to a salaried position plus commission. These few notions of common sense really made a difference in my life. So thank you for being a human that talks of inflicting change, then proceeds to manifest it.

    My best friend who was a few years older than me (senior in high school) was/is a genius. He spent hours teaching me coding and helping me with schoolwork. He was the guy to finish his calculus test first. Most of all, he took all the meaning from things into his brain. He could make a 10 page book a 100 page essay. He recently ran away. The age of 17, you truly remind me of him. Thanks for the videos sir, things have sucked without him. Our two brains together would be brilliant but it's to bad it won't happen.

    All I can say is ask. If you want a mentor ask people to be your mentor.
    I'm trying to get a job in the tech field and I decided one day I would as my professor a bunch of questions. One thing lead to another and now he's helping me get a job. I went from no opportunity to a job opportunity. He's not my mentor that I go to twice a week. He's looking over my resume and preparing me for this job. He doesn't have to but he saw my drive and passion for technology. So always ask don't be afraid!

    Hey tai I need your advice. I'm 14 years old. I have been extremely lucky to be born into a wealthy family. My father is a millionaire doctor and my mother is too. He also has millions invested in stocks. I have roughly 20,000 dollars in my bank account. My dad is a great mentor to me. He grew up in the slums with 4 sisters, and he immigrated to America alone at 24 with only 200 dollars in his pocket. He raised that up into millions in profit. He started from nothing and become a millionaire, I have started from something, but i want to become a billionaire. I hope you can give me some feedback because I am searching for mentors and I hope you can assist me.

    • @alex-kj3qw
      @alex-kj3qw 9 років тому +5

      adam elashker you have successful parents right before your eyes. you have two mentors that can give you the best advice with the most want to do so. You should undoubtably show them you want to succeed past them and that will go a lone way. I envy the opportunity that you have as I was born in rags with little money or father figure at all. However, if you don't want to use your parents as mentors I will gladly take your place.

    • @leozanna2861
      @leozanna2861 7 років тому

      adam elashker You need a better mentor than Tai. You need someone like Warren Buffett, you need Tony Robbins. If you're a millionaire, then you should learn from people that are the 1% because they make billions. And learning only 1% of what billionaires know will be enough to be able to make 10millions.

    • @forho2
      @forho2 7 років тому

      adam elashker Tai Lopez says to be great you need to Identify your strengths, pick a skill that utilizes your strengths and allows you to give value to people, compare your aptitude realistically to others in your chosen field, and if you can realistically offer value in the market place as good as others in your same field, then double down on focusing on that ONE skill and put in 15,000-30k hours of training and practice of that skill...
      It all starts with ID'ing your strengths. Tai says this is done by experimenting or even taking tests

    Hi Tai. I love your 67 Step Program, it has a great and abundant content.Thank you. Regarding this video I agree with you that I have to find an activity that I like and look for mentors in this field and I disagree that I have to volunteer full time, they will not give me a job with volunteering, I can learn about the business, I can know and meet people in the field and make connections, I can get experience for my resume but lamentably they will not give me a job in the place that I volunteer. To get a job it is better if I can find an internship in the same company even with the lowest salary or like you say sweeping the floor with a low salary. This is better than volunteering to get a job. When I volunteer they want me to continue working for free, this is the nature of volunteering. Like you say in volunteering or working I have to be impressive and do my best,

    If you could make a video and recommend a/some book/s about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone it would be appreciated.
    You know how those who had a harsh upbringing often seem to be very passionate about things in life and how they work super hard to achieve their goals versus those who had a comfortable childhood seem to just lie there in their comfort zone because they have no sense of urgency or desperation? It would be cool to get your insight on that.

    The things people do when the try to find mentors, calling around to a hundred different business owners, asking parents if they know someone who would be willing to help. Well the first day I tried, I found people and set up meetings to talk with them. I just walked into stores and I find 3 owners who were willing to talk with me, within an hour. I just walked in, I'd suggest doing that.

    My only issue is how do you find a mentor/opportunity like you discuss? Networking? Thanks Tai!

    Tai, I'm a junior in high school and I haven't exactly pinpointed what I want to major in. I'm stuck between programming and coding or animation and environment design. Since my school in a small NC town doesn't offer any classes of the sort I've take the initiative to get the courses added in the hopes that I can take them before I graduate. Anyways, my question was how did you fund your trips to foreign countries to meet with people? Now I guess I can fly up and talk my uncle. He would be a start to the whole mentor thing. He's been a very successful businessman and a terrific architect. An example of work he has done is the Phare tower in Paris. I believe that he could help in the environment design. I should be over in LA this summer.
    Hope to here back from you soon! Many more questions!

    Tai here's the question I pose to you, what if I can't get a mentor. I'm could name plenty here in North Carolina, specifically near Raleigh, but I can promise you even if I could manage to meet them, they wouldn't have the time or motivation to teach me. How can I, someone who isn't successful or extraordinary for my age, capture the attention of a great mentor?

    Hi all!
    I am not a high flyer, but I committ to my work and strive to improve in my jobs, normally resulting in better results than many. The answer to this many times is turning down of proposals or mocking of them. I don't find I get noticed. It could be random chaos going against me...
    What to do??!

    If one wishes to know about anything, you must first empty all you think you know about the subject of focus, to then learn about that thing and your motivations behind our desires for success. Then, while gaining that new knowledge with new passion and with true intimacy we will move forward with true focus and intent. Intentions are what we are judged by most. Did we show a true desire to learn, or control something instead? Were we filled with doubt before an idea was even presented? How can you make the crucial decisions in your business or life without any true clarity of your internal direction?

    I like the videos I've seen so far. However, the title of this video is not exactly in line with the content.
    I am no expert, but I was looking for ways to find a mentor and this just explains some ideas surrounding that. Not actual ways steps that you can take to find a mentor.
    Just some thoughts. I am really enjoying your content so far.

    I got a new job beside school and i didnt take it serious enough. I often showed up right on point or to late, or I tried to avoid the stressful work. What could I do to change it? Like you said, view the work like my little baby and ownership. Thank You

    Question Tai. You said before you was located somewhere in NC but then moved around when you got to meet a lot of your mentors. My question is did you move from NC because you didn't see anyone in the part that was involved in what you wanted to see yourself doing as a career?

      Hey! I am also 16. I have a mentor that I meet with every Wednesday so he can help me with my business. As a student, people are going to be more open to mentor you. Don't be afraid to reachout to anybody you want. Also, that is sick that you want to start a business! I have really enjoyed mine

    So I saw two of your UA-cam commercials about you in your garage with your Lamborghini okay they say the same exact thing but are two separate videos, I thought those words weren't scripted, that's how it seems, and I noticed you did a second video just to show all of the 7 bookshelves because you didn't on the first. I would love for you to make a video on how you actually Made This Money, Who really knows.

    How long did it take before you started earning alot of money? How exactly did you do that? so many questions man..

    Hi Tai!
    I'm not exactly the most experienced in work at the age of 17. Not very big with money and all, and trying to decide how things should go with the idea of potential college in the future or not, what with being in senior year in high school and all. I've really been debating on what I should do. I enjoy the little things and all, but I want to be successful, and keep moving forward.
    So my question to you is, when you say that I should look into and consider a free job, (Like an internship or something) do you mean that I should try and look into internships at the big businesses here and there and see what sticks? Or maybe I should consider holding off on college for the time being and look at what my options could be? The idea of college has been pretty cushy sounding, but after some delving into, it's been sounding more like a furnace for money instead. And the last thing I want to do is go into a career that doesn't give my maximum potential.
    Thank you for taking the time to consider my question if you decide to glance in my direction. And I will continue to test my luck in whatever I can. I may not have access to the 67 steps, (As to be expected) but even these simple videos on here are really helping me see the big picture, and rethink my choices.
    -ATM

    Free work by corporations in LA as dictated as being "intern work" has been borderline illegal, and would guaranteed be made illegal this day and age considering the law. There are very precise laws regarding interns and "free" work. You can't just tell people in Cali what to do in that respect if you're restricting their rights.
