I remember when the home bargains was a bus station ! At that time, all the illuminated trams were still active. I used to love the hissing sound the trolley wheel made on the wire, lost now in the pantograph days, and the bogie rattle. Its a shame there are so few heritage trams left in Blackpool, they were one of the main attractions whereas the modern ones are basically just a bus service.
It's a pity that every tram has been modified in some way and not one is in original condition. Otherwise, it is good to see that so many have been preserved!

Personally I like the commentary sense you say the names so I know what tram I'm looking at lol, otherwise it's just a tram too me. Great upload mate 🤙

at least they have kept them,or,some of them, could have easily scrapped them all,so lucky to see them in a natural setting
Closest I've come to riding one of those was a San Francisco trolley 🚎. I enjoyed viewing " Life Without limits ".

A couple of the trams our fully original with only a few minor tweaks
Great video - I love the old Trams - I must try and get to Blackpool this summer...
Those trams looked like so much fun. Thank you for sharing.

A fascinating watch. I can see how the "points" are moved but how do the overhead lines recognise the change? Is it like in trains?
@@telemachus53 no the wires just regonise then those batteries with th + side and - sides

When they bought the boat out, why didn't they change the conducter pole to the back instead of leading it out with a bloke holding the pole?
Not to sure mate
might not be enough room inside the depot.
😘😘😘❤❤❤👍👍👍🚎🚎
Do you know what has happened to the Rocket and Showboat illuminated trams ...both of which are now heritage?
Yes there both kept safe at Tramtown wich you can see when on a tour
The Rocket is inside Tram Town but will never run again due to health and safety. The Showboat was exported to the USA not Shaw when.
