Good stuff mate. You give a good workout to the new girl. No messing around. 20k for 4-5 weeks. That’s a lot. No bullshit from you get in and get the shit done. 3 punchers within 3 weeks. That’s hard terrain. Good work mate. Really like your contents
20000km like of a glass of water. What a beast and a masterpiece of vehicle you bought. And what a nice upgrade you did on her. Thanks a lot for sharing. 😊
I thought I recognised that mountain in the background and the landscape around it. My home town is just over the other side of it but other than that nice video, definitely picked the best place to go 4 wheel driving. My dad was a massive Land Cruiser lover and growing up I loved taking these roads in his 4x4s. Love it great video. ❤️
I've got some eBay cheapie armrests but they look much like those. I tucked that L shaped metal locating strip under the window rubber strip & it holds better & the armrest doesn't jump off if the door slams a bit hard. You lift the rubber at the end with a thin flat blade srewdriver & work it over the strip.
Finally, the 70 Series' headlights now actually come from the 21st Century. Chalk and cheese in performance compared to the candle power units of the previous models. 😁
Years ago I used a paint called roof seal that had glass beads in it. I painted my house roof and my band trailer, 10 degrees cooler in the house and the trailer
I have had heat reflecting paint on the roof of the troopy for 20 years . Give it another coat every 5 years . Amazing stuff . I can put my hand on the roof on the hottest day and it feels cool . Paint the roof of the ute and see what difference that makes . I use Insultec heat reflective paint which is the best stuff . I use a paint brush not a roller to paint the roof .
Good idea mate, look who knows what I'll do once I put a battery system in, I may end up with panels up top. Or I may mount my maxtrax up there. I'm not to sure yet.
I noticed on one of your previous blogs. That you were running the polly pipe on the ground to the water troughs. I would have thought the cattle would stand on it and cause a leak.
It's usually pretty good mate, every now and then you'll get something happen. We have a few troughs like this just because they are semi permanent setups.
Maybe you need what the early Land Rovers used to have, a Tropical Roof set up. How much rain have you had? Every thing looks like it's greening up, or is that an illusion?
Yeah as I mentioned I was thinking about putting a sheet of ally on top. Greening up in areas nicely. It's that time of year we get random showers and storms around the joint. Different amounts.
Nice drone work 👍 does the cup holder on the armrest interfere with the stalk on the steering wheel? I've read it interferes with something around there. Also, are they 285/75/16 Toyos, do they rub?
Thanks mate, bit tricky driving through water and flying haha. The arm rest is fine doesnt interfere with anything at all. Yep, 285 stock suspension. No rubbing, good as gold.
I was getting around 8-850km out of a tank, since going 33's I'm getting roughly 700... 130ltr tank, however everytime I fuel up it puts roughly 100 ltr in. So it leaves you with a fair amount of buffer I reckon. This is the v8 by the way.

Thank a lot mate, yeah she gets a hard run hey and the km build up damn quick. It's a good test for equipment. Cheers 🍻
20,000km! Seems like only yesterday you got it... time flies. Keen to see how the temps go with the new paint. Keep the vids coming mate. 👍🍻
Yeah, 20 thou already! I'll keep a close eye on the canopy temps and let you all know. Thankyou 👌
Great video mate.
By far one of the best out there.
Keep it up
Wow, thankyou mate. I really have to step it up and get a lap top for editing asap haha.

Haha, yeah big time mate, these lights are great, big difference and much appreciated for night time.

That's the go mate, today was 42 degrees and I can definitely tell a difference inside canopy.

Nice mate, I can tell already it's made a difference, I'll keep an eye on it plenty of hot days ahead. Keen to see how much of a difference it makes.
Great video again mate thank you
No worries mate, thanks for watching.
Thoughts on a small roof rack on your canopy, you might some extra storage or even a solar panel or two. Will leave your canopy in the shade 🤔

Great video 👍 arm rest look sweet
Thankyou, yeah I'm liking them mate.
some bee stings swell up really bad and some are ok, just depends how far the push it in and if you get the stinger out or not haha
Yeah makes sense, it was a good one hey, and it seemed like I copped a couple stings idk. Bloody thing 🐝
Hey mate you’re the man! . Amazing country. What area is that just so I can have a look on the map.
Cheers mate, Papunya
Is that dirt & muddy water you're driving through high in salt like some of the country down below you in South Australia?
Nah not like SA.

I know a girl with a new Jimni and she's never used the 4x4. Lol. She's had it for a year
Hey mate what sort of economy are you getting out of your rig? Cheers. 7.05 pm
How is the headlight during heavy rain at night?
Haven't driven through heavy rain at night yet mate.
