I could kick myself missing that HST. I was there just a few days ago. Such an amazing piece of British engineering and what beautiful livery. I well remember seeing the original blue pullman at snow Hill Birmingham this one tops for look and sound. Thanks for video Admiral. Dave from Coventry.
Great to see you again Mike!...the Length of that Train!... and your Magazine article at the end too... I must take more Tuesdays off!. ...I managed to get the Drone photos of the surrounding Hills and Landscape for a guy who is building a 00 Layout of Minehead as it was in 1908.
Glad all went well with the photography for your friend. His layout will be interesting to see. Watchet station has a group who has produced an interesting model of the station back in the days of the railway tracks reaching down into the harbour.
Hi Mike, I just watched your video of the Midland Pullman .Chris and I saw it on the webcam at Minehead then at Blue Anchor. Love to you and Val from Joanne and Chris.xx
Hi MIKE hope you & val.are both well. Mums doing much better now. Her wrist is healing well from her bad fall back in beginning Aug. I took her to weston general on Monday for a c/ up. All doing good. Nurses go in twice a day. I watched the blue pullmans return last night at worle station. On her way back from minehead. She's a remarkable HST. Apparently there are 2 of these locomotives now! Anyway uploads soon! Didn't make the WSR 1940S we had other things on. We visited SHILLINGTON PROJECT ON THE FORMER S&D BRANCH. Had a very interesting visit! Watch my footage.
Mike, maybe it stopped at the Minehead level crossing because the driver couldn't hand over the token without the train coming to a stand? A great shot of two trains with the town in the background at 1:08 .
That's the trouble with main line trains. You wait for ages on a station platform for, say a HST to come through, and then find out you've missed it by a long shot. Steam Railtours can catch an unwary spotter out sometimes. But don't let it worry you. Riding behind a GWR steamy, like Odney Manor, is what you and Val do best. What more could you ask for?

Beautiful Blue Pullman Train 😊
It certainly looks good.
