I think it would be fun (and not off-brand), if the whole TiE-Prototype-heist thing was just a red herring for the previews, like Marvel often does. For example: The whole thing takes up only the first few minutes of the first episode, and it establishes that Andor has been doing a lot of similar activity: Stealing various tech and supplies from the Empire in little hit-and-run ops. And the friction with Luthen is him telling Andor he should be doing more than just stealing stuff - that he needs to think bigger and bolder.
Yeah, even Rebels and Clone Wars sometimes starts with "another mission" and they immediatly moves to "our story".
-sigh - as cool as it would be otherwise, this is the way . . .
Its tie avenger
As someone that loves all the wacky TIE designs of Legends, I'm praying that what we saw was in-fact the TIE Avenger.
Yeah
When are they gonna make the TIE Tank canon?
We got E-Wing in The Ahsoka. I don't see a problem seeing TIE Avenger in The Andor.
If season 1 wasn't afraid to go brutally down to earth with its depiction of the Empire, I bet we'll see that turned up to a thousand. Revolutions, while built on hope, always come at a brutal cost. Haiti, Mexico, Vietnam, Mozambique, Palestine, South Africa...No matter the result or noble goals, fighting oppression always has a price in blood.
That definitely has to happen, Luthen even said he wanted the Empire to react in a brutal manner to wake people up to their oppression.
They will also have to show a massive increase of Imperial violence, from the slightly restrained brutality they showed on Ferrix to the actual blowing up of an entire planet like Alderaan!
Freedom isn’t free as they say and price is paid in blood like it always has and always will be.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls, and ask the ghosts if honor matters?
The silence is your answer."
-Javik, Mass Effect 3 'From Ashes' DLC
I mean, I'm not sure Palestine is a really good example, considering the Jew's and Israel's struggle is the exact same as the Rebellion in Star Wars. I completely understand that Palestinians want their own nation too, but on the other hand though many go to pure extremism to achieve it and say the only way for an independent Palestine is where Israel doesn't exist. Not only is that not what freedom is, as Israel has a right to be free too, but it is not in line with what rebellion is in Star Wars. Sure, I get the comparison you're trying to draw, but it is not fair to Israel, Israelis, and Jews, to say that Palestinians are the ones seeking freedom, while Israel doesn't have a right to it and are Fascists, occupiers, and Imperialists. We don't need to sow more division by glorifying one side and saying it's only good, and demonizing the other and saying it's the embodiment of evil.
I don't care about how people interpret shows. I don't care about who is casted in those shows, because truth be told I can almost guarantee on a show like this people will try and spin it, like you did, about Israel and Palestine. That is not what this should be about because, unlike Star Wars where this is only two sides: good and pure evil, real life is not fictional. Israel is good. Palestinians, when they accept that Israel has a right to exist and that both sides can live together in peace, are by nature inherently good too. We should not make one higher than the other in our own minds. We should just all sit back, relax, and enjoy a good show with good story.
@@FishWithAquaphobia bro watches too much mainstream media that is currently crumbling and cutting down their employees...your narrative about Palestine gncd is so out of reality. I'm sorry, even people within Israel are already waking up to the truth and here you are still in your bubble. Let me point you in the right direction:
Read books by Ilan Pappe
Read books by Norman Finkelstein
Read Ta-Nahesi's recent book
Watch Tantura documentary
Watch The Great March of Return documentary
Watch Killing Gaza documentary
Watch TRT's The Holly Redemption documentary
Watch Al Jazeera's documentary of Investigation into the soldiers
Pay attention to alternative media and independent journalists, then you will find the truth.
I love the way it all looks right now. Fingers crossed S2 can stick the landing!!
Cassian has elite level drip 💧
I do have hopes we are going to see a proper rebels vs empire space battle in this season.
I’m still sad that Andor won’t run for 5 seasons like originally planned, but I’m glad we are at least getting a kind of Rogue One trilogy out of this with Andor Seasons 1&2 and Rogue One respectfully.
I think 5 season might have been a bit of a stretch. At their current pace of 2 years per season, Diego Luna would have aged 10 years by the time they finish the fifth season. And somehow, he has to look just as young as he did in Rogue One with possible deaging technology that might look very distracting.
Can’t wait for those “Keep politics out of Star Wars” people to change their tune when it comes to Andor.
Star Wars Works best when its Apolitical Jyn,Cassian and Han are Apolticial Characters.
@@JBTriple8best characters are not those 3
Politics can have different meanings. When people say no politics this isn’t what they mean
@@JBTriple8you just named 3 of the most political characters
Well Star Wars has fictional politics, you don't see Star Wars characters campaigning for Abortion rights or LGBT rights now do you?
I don't think I will ever be ready for the Ghorman Massacre...
I dont think they will actually show it bcuz then it will become r rated
@@kart4413...How so R rated? You can show it without on screen cutting limbs and blood. As Star Wars always has been. Civilians has been dying in Star Wars plenty of time before The Andor
I hope we get another epic well-acted, award-worthy monologue like Kino's, Luthen's or Maarva's, but this time from other characters
Or Nemik's manifesto
Personally I’m really excited for Cassian’s thematic arc: “stop thinking like a thief” “I’m thinking like a soldier” “start thinking like a leader”
That line had me 'oooooh baby Gilroy still doing it.'
Can't wait for Andor season 2, the best Star Wars show so far! ❤
Yay! I just wish there were more seasons! It looks SO good!
Can’t wait for season 2. Andor is THE BEST SW series for adult fans.
I'm not expecting it but i think it would be really cool if the rebel base for one of the early arcs was still Atollon.
Atollon was never an alliance HQ. It was just a single base. Before Yavin, Dantooine was Rebel HQ
I'm hoping and expecting they do an early screening of the first episode or even first arc at celebration next year considering its releasing so close to then. It'll be my first celebration and I would genuinely sacrifice a full day of celebration to ensure I got to see it
I’m glad to be getting more Star Wars content
They name dropped Sly Moore in S1, so Im hoping to see that cameo.....also R2 and C3P0.
I saw them in Rogue One
I hope they show the Bridger’s transmission in Andor when they’re working in the same timeframe as that.
I need that trailer desperately. Looks fantastic.
Man I wish this show was 4-6 seasons long, completely doing its own thing.
I didn't realise how excited I was for Andor S2 until now. Time for a rewatch on S1, and I will be keeping a close eye on any casting confirmations. I want to know who exactly is returning. I'm also gonna check for locations too - I don't think I've heard anything confirmed, which is weird. Anyway - thanks Alex!
I was hoping to see a review from the camp site 😂
Glad they gave us time to get back!
I am all for "Let's steal a TIE fighter" arc, if that is what it is about.
I wonder if stealing the TIE Fighter and reverse engineering it is how the rebels get the X-Wing. That would be a cool Arc. An entire Arc dedicated to the legendary X-Wing introduction to the Rebel arsenal.
@@calarencrow7480that would contradict the x-wing backstory of being a development of the clone wars z95 and arc170
Thank you! Great work, as always!
So much amazing insight on such little footage, I love your content!
I'm curious about how Mon Mothma's family will react to her joining the rebellion. Perrin seems to either support Palpatine or simply not care about anything so long as he's living the high life. And Leida generally resents her mother. I suspect they'll either call Mon on traitor or just not care at all. Maybe Leida will be a little worried about Mon, but I'm not convinced.
Also, it will be interesting to see if Leida is forced into that arranged marriage.
Leida goes willingly into arranged marriage. The Andor made it decided thing by the end
@LukiKruki We see that Leida was introduced to that guy's son, but we haven't seen them married. Technically, that dodgy banker Mon Mothma met with only asked for an introduction, not marriage. Though I wouldn't be surprised if that came later.
Maybe the TIE theft is related to extracting Mon Mothma, he ends up having to defend her escape with the ship.
Given how hyped everyone appears to be for Andor, will Disney consider some form of spin off. I believe Andor was always going to be a two seasons and done project but we surely need to consider using more of the talent from this series somewhere, somehow.
I think the creators of this series said they want to move on from Star Wars
I'd be amazed if Lucasfilm/Disney aren't throwing money at Tony Gilroy and his other writers and directors to commission more Star Wars from them.
WHY DID UA-cam NOT NOTIFY ME OF THIS?!
I hope in season 2 of *ANDOR* will be revealed if Cassian's sister is alive or dead, as Maarva believed. And I bet that she is or Cinta or Kleya, since we don't much about their past, also one of them is the long lost sister of Cassian Andor.
Cinta or Kleya?! Bwuahahahhahaaaa!!!! When the season 2 starts, you'll notice very soon how little you understood about what was going on in the first season.
@Zippoca I Andor season 1, and I'm saying is that perhaps Cassian didn't looking for his sister, with the help of other rebels, he will find out if she's alive or dead.
Wooo buddy, I’m so excited!!!!! Andor was some peak SW for me, and I really hope this next season brings it. It’s so sad it’s only two seasons.
I really want Cass and syril to finally meet in S2. It would be such a cool scene as Cassian has taken over Syril's life with trying to find him and Cassian probably won't even remember him. I can just imagine Syril's anger during that confrontation
If we don’t see TIE-Strikers in this season or else I’ll riot
The Avenger is an ABSOLUTE TREAT, and I already saw the U-Wing in the D23 clips
Haha. Again, everyone thought Dedra wasn't in this little teaser trailer, but she was. In fact, more than once. And of course, nobody noticed it but me.
Considering the recent results of the United States elections, this season couldn't be more perfectly timed. 😅
As a starfighter junkie and a TIE Fighter game kid, I gotta be honest seeing the Avenger/Advanced in live action has me the most hyped lol.
Andor is a piece of art and anyone who says otherwise is willfully shooting themselves in the foot.
SW isn't a genre, it’s a universe and many different genres, themes, characters, and stories have yet to be discovered in that universe. If someone wants the 'feel' of the old movies there is good news, the old movies still exist, so literally go watch them again.
As horrendous as some of the Last Jedi was I have grown to appreciate that Rian was also trying to make something new, his execution in some of that 'newness' was very questionable but the stuff that worked really worked. This misguided unconscious consensus of SW fans that we need to ‘recapture’ those feelings from the first films has led to an over saturation of bad SW trying to live up to something it shouldn’t even need to. Every SW project doesn’t need the same themes, characters, and feeling as the OG trilogy, that'd get repetitive and very boring. Most new projects have virtually become parodies of the source material where nothing is left but references cameos, and generic mic-drop lines that fit in any situation.
I love Andor not just because it is full of heart, nuance, and complex storytelling in a thematically dark setting but also because of what it represents: innovation of SW and a new hope that future SW projects don't have to be self referential, sloppily written, poorly executed, mass produced projects rather than pieces of art that stand on their own merit.
Disneys and the fans problem has been thinking that SW is a genre and everything must fit into very confined rules. If someone thinks Andor is too boring they need to consider spending less time feeding their dopamine receptors with stuff like Tik Tok and take the time to pay attention to what’s happening between action sequences. They’ll realize that that there is a lot of nuance and character work happening, it is a masterclass of writing and direction. If someone thinks Andor doesn't feel like SW they need to reframe how they understand the IP, it is not a genre of itself. The themes, characters, settings, sounds, textures, virtually everything is straight out of the Lucas doctrine and what story he was trying to tell. If someone thinks Andor stands shoulder to shoulder on equal footing as Obi Wan, Ahsoka, or Boba Fett they need to try and summarize one of those shows and try to summarize Andor, the difficulty to do so for Andor succinctly is indicative of the complex level of detail and care. Andor is lightyears ahead of those shows in virtually every cinema or storytelling criteria.
Anyone who loves Andor should be promoting it and recommending it to everyone they know. Systems either change or die and there is only one way out of this SW slump of bad media.
God I can't wait for more Andor. The best Star Wars since the original trilogy, and getting more? Truly can't wait.
Looks great just as expected. Personally I hope we get Mon Mothma's first speech to the rebellion on screen in live action (at least in hologram)
Could we possibly get a live action Ghost crew cameo?! Probably not, but one can hope. It literally is a new hope.
I think that Cassian in civvies may be the Mon Mothma extraction.
I think im going to have to rewatch Andor season 1, as i can barely remember it!
Thank you, Alex! 💥 Yes, the yellow accents on the KX-series security droid should definitively denote him as 'K-2SO'.
Man, I wasted like 2 minutes searching for a teaser TRAILER before realizing that your title doesn't have TRAILER in it....
It’s a Disney plus trailer showing clips from various shows including Andor and Skeleton Crew as well as Daredevil etc
Thank you for this video.
One of my favourite pieces of Zorro is him infiltrating high society, hope Andor does it well
Agreed!!
Ooo, maybe we'll get a TIE Avenger LEGO set. I would have thought that would have come out or been announced already. Also, no Skeleton Crew LEGO sets seems like an oversight.
Um... set 75374 is literally a Skeleton Crew lego set. Hell, it's on shelves right now
Andor thinking like a thief, he is a thief. What else is he supposed to do?
grow?
If you ever wanna release a video talking about alien stuff I will GLADLY watch it a million times, I ADORE alien and predator and I’d love to hear you guys’s thoughts on it 💖💖💖
If the series follows the trends set by earlier releases, most of what we see in trailers is from early in the season.
Maybe the tie swipe happens right at the beginning, like when Indiana Jones swiped the golden idol in Raiders.
Then, he's summoned to Coruscant where he gets his mission, leading him to K2S0 and ultimately with Andor traveling to the Ring of Kafrene and him meeting Tivik (played again by Danny Mays), leading directly into the first scene with Andor in Rogue One.
The TIE Avenger is my favorite ship, so I really hope that's what this turns out to be.
Te pół roku minie w tempie góra trzech miesięcy, bo czas bardzo przyspieszył.
3:48 is that a HWK-290 in the top right!?
Imagine we see the ghost team in the back round after they go there after the seaseon 3 of rebels
If that was a TIE Avenger I wonder if will TIE-in with the TIE Defender programme like in Legends
Icantwaiticantwaiticantwaiticantwaiticantwaiticantwaiticantwaiticantwaiticantwaiticantwaiticantwaiticantwait!!!! I can’t waaaaaaait!!!! 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
What's the difference between the TIE Avenger and the TIE Defender?
PEAKDOR MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Really hope that does turn out to be a TIE Avenger
I think seeing massive crowds being crushed by a ship would be a bit extreme for the show so I could see it as just a line of storm troopers opening fire on a peaceful protest. Maybe its even broadcasted to make it such a major event.
I wish they weren’t stopping at Season 2 😢
Genuine question, is there a link to these teaser trailers? Is it on Disney+? Or is it here on UA-cam?
Never mind, I found it.
Season 1 was so beautiful anti fascism, it mirrored real life so well, and with recent events in Israel/Palestine - the show couldn't be more relevant.
Looking forward to season 2!
I am curious on how Andor season 2 turns out
I wonder if every single character is still suffering from depression in season 2
TIE FIGHTER REFERENCE WOOOOOOOOOO
Is it really ok to watch Disney+ and Netflix?I'm worried concerning the ethics of watching them.
I wonder who that is with Bix when she says we need a pilot
The shot at 3:41 confirms Andor is the story of how Cassian cleaned up
Gorman Massacre for sure
I’m so excited for this but I wish Andor would be 5 seasons long. I just hope the ending will be done right
The actual trailer is out now
Cassian stealing a prototype Tie Fighter give me 1982 Firefox vibe...
Ever since the cancelation of Acolyte S2 I’ve given up on Star Wars. I will be coming back to the franchise for this for sure!
Take your meds 😂
Please do not compare that slop to Andor.
It not to be boring like season 1
👍
I wonder what Rebels cameos we might get. I can see Hera and Zeb making an appearance close to the end right before the end of the show as it dovetails right into Rogue One. Hopefully that won't confuse people if something like that happens since the live action versions of the characters have only appeared after Return of the Jedi.
Looks amazing! Can't wait for the return of Darth Brickus and their apprentice Darth Nailious!
Oh cool
I think the series could end with Cassian helping extract Mon Mothma from coruscant which will lead to that rebels season 3 episode
It's already been said that the last scene will lead into rogue one
That’s too early in the timeline. That happened years before Rougue One, and this show is going to lead straight into Rogue One.
I wonder if there are any Rebels connections
Alien> Star Wars
Star Wars is ruined beyond repair unless they remake episode 8 and 9. Then they could restart from tnere after they get the fan base happy again and get their trust and hype back in the process.
Alien sucks too, aside from like 3 movies
peak Star Wars incoming yeah excited for Alien Earth Romulus was the Third best in the series.
Man that dude that adds 'star wars explained' to all his videos must drive you guys nuts.
YESSSSSSS
Im really gonna need this show in about 5 months... I think a lot of us will
I’ll say that as someone who didn’t love Andor’s first season, this looks like it could be exciting and thrilling in a special way that the first season didn’t have aside from the Prison Arc (IMO).
Mon Mothma’s daughter has to marry that creep. 😮
this is legitimately the only Disney product I am actually excited about
I loved season 1 but im just going to assume this has been infiltrated by the wokies like everything else and if it turns out im wrong then I'll be pleasantly surprised
If I was ever to resubscribe to Disney Minus, Andor would probably do it...
Eh, I'll wait for physical media.
Hoping it isn't super slow ....I died a little every sode.
Keep grinding lameos.
Please, please, _please_ some black lesbians, Disney. COME ON! LET'S GOOOOO!
Dude, just let the story be a story. It doesn't need to fill out a bingo card. I'm Jewish and I love Israel. Am I out here demanding that an Israeli be put in the cast? No. In fact they will probably put people in the cast that instead don't like Israel. I don't care. If it's a good *FICTIONAL* story, then I'm here for it. True representation is one that is silent, not yelling at your face that it's there.
I’m glad a lot of people enjoyed this series. While I did enjoy the Prison Arc, I found the first half of the Season to be very slow and boring.
Still I am excited to see what happens in Season 2
Connecting just to say that i don't plan on watching a lot of Andor content.
Hopefully Disney can finally stick the landing!
only reason i will watch andor season 2 is to see how the senator will get from corusant to where she is in rebels secret cargo retcorn i head someone call it but other then that not sure if i am looking forword to season 2 of andor as much as i am looking forword to ahsoka season 2 just becouse i want more ezra and sabine
After andor s2 Star Wars dies
Aww, that’s cute.
Cry me a river
Fr
Star Wars will die when new trillogy will appear
Star Wars has died and come back more times than a Dragon Ball Z character at this point ...
Was going to sub until I saw this was Star Wars Explained 👎
