Loved the Maxroad 5. Had a slight issue with the MR6. On the inside of the shoe where the bottom of the tongue is attached to the upper there is a pronounced ridge that irritated my toes. Put up with it until your 1080 V13 review. Don’t sleep on Skechers. Will be waiting for the MR7 to see if it works for me.
Skechers does a pretty good job with the supercritical foams. The GoRun Ride 11 is about an ounce lighter and still 36/30. I think these shoes have Skechers' H-Plate, which is not as rigid as a full plate. I agree that they are decent shoes if you don't mind the arch fit. Switching out the insoles helps if the lump is too much.
You might want to try the Maxroad's little brother, the Ride 11. I've run in the ride 4 and 9 and the 11 is definitely a great shoe and the best Go Run Ride shoe. 38-32 stack like the 1080 v13 and same hyperburst ice foam.
A couple of the old videos. Just tie, pull close to the the ends to make the ears or loops as long as possible then tie the loops like you tie normal. Makes a double loop.
Bought a pair of ride9's, UltraGo, MaxCishion, 2 pairs of Elevates, their uppers are so comfy, the modsole is bouncy, and nice to see on these ones... an outsole exists.
I’ve been running in sketchers max cushion for several years. Got rid of my shin splints. One problem, the upper part of the shoe does not last. I have to replace them about every 3 months
The Max Road has been well received for several versions, I just could never find it available in my size in Canada, so I never tried it. Skechers are probably one dev cycle behind the other major players in the market. But they still seem to make a decent product.
I loved the V4 and 4.5, The V6 weight scares me away. I even had the V3. Hyperburst is the OG super midsole material. The weak link in all the Skechers shoes is the fast-wearing outsole, regardless of what brand name they stamp on it. I barely get 250 ez miles without wearing through to the fast-wearing Hyperburst material. If they had a decent outsole material, like the the midsole and upper, they would easily be 700+ mile shoes. I currently have a pair of Razor Excess that are ok, a little too hard for me. HyperBurst is THE BOMB, love it more than midsole materials on $250 race shoes from Nike, Asics, Saucony.
When Skechers came out w/ the MaxRoad series, I was all in. BUT there was just foam outsole, and I wrote them nastygrams about it. The MaxRoad 3 was GREAT. Bouncy, and a good outsole. For some reason, they just vanished, and nothing until that horrawful looking v4. I haven't tried any of the MaxRoads after the 3. About to get the 6, maybe, if I can get my knee issue fixed.
@@filoIII the 6 is HEAVY. I'm kind of done with Skechers running shoes. Maybe they'll come back to making competitive shoes, but I'm wearing Asics Superblast and Saucony Endorphin now.
Since you like the Craft Pacer, any chance you may try out the Craft Endurance 2? First version had a great rocker and midsole somewhere between the SE Speed and Triumph but the upper is crap. I think they fixed that in version 2. Keep up the strong work!

they were decently comfortable for walking but i would take a shoe like the brooks ghost 15 or brooks ghost max over this. this has more of that aggresive rolling feel to help with running that's not really necessary for walking
Can i use rebel v4 for some light trails? I primarily need it for road daily training but once in a month i like to run on some trails. They are really easy no rocks just some grass and like a dirt path. Its like when u have a nice grassy lawn and people make “desire paths”. Thats the kind of trails im thinking off. Would i need maybe better off with novablast 4 or mach 6 instead of the rebel v4??? Thx in advance
yes definitely! in my 100 mile week test with the rebel v4 i took it on some paths like that and even some that were super muddy. it performed really well - definitely better grip than the mach 6 and more stable. novablast is good too but if were leaning toward rebel i would go for it
The so-called H-plate in most Sketcher performance training shoes are just two thin strips of carbon elements and I think it might be providing a bit to the stability but mostly a marketing gimmick. This is not to say this shoe is a bad one. This type of foam does not really need a plate. I have the older Razor Excess and it is a good value.
The previous version 5 is good enough for me , except for the outsole rubber which is just made up of a few small pods. Version 6 outsole win here and the glowing yellow midsole. But still way too heavy even for easy recovery days.
Hey, totally off topic question for you. Would you use the Hoka Cielo X1 on a hilly race course. I will be doing a 30K with 400 meters of climbing on mostly paved and light gravel roads. I really dont have a shoe I am 100% on using right now and was curious to get your thoughts. Thank you
def the ghost max. this is comfortable for running but the rocker is prob a little much for walking. plus i just feel weird wearing a plated shoe casually, no matter how comfortable it is lol
My kids loved sketchers! They said they were comfortable for skateboarding and BMX. Come run with us in PNW rain and giant slugs 😂 IDK, I'm still totally into my ASICS. It would have to take an exceptional shoe to get me to leave those guys.
My summary: 1. Gucci Mane Lemonade 2. BBL Drizzy (Had Addie and me dying every time) 3. OFFSET (Had to step away for a sec and when I came back Addie was like “rewind 30s and just wait!” Hahaha) 4. SLUG WATCH 5. Analysis of Brooklyn fashion 6. Mosquitoes don’t have anything on Yowana 7. Skechers impressed with the Max Road 6
One of the worst shoes designed by Skechers, had purchased 2 pairs one for Outdoor and one for workout. On one pair the sole grip started peeling. When I wear the other pair, severe pain on the heel. Design could be a challenge for some. Was a big fan of Skechers but now changed my mind and the brand.
These shoes suck for people that have foot issues. They have no stability whatsoever so your foot slides from side to side and you get tremendous arch pain and the company does not back these promises up.
the payless and heelys references made me nostalgic. remember LA Gear shoes with the lights?
I hadn't heard that name in ages. I never shopped there but always passed by it as it was near the mall entrance.

Wow! What great surprise! I'm looking forward to 100k review
If you can find some- try the Max Road 5. Insanely fun and comfortable shoes. And they were waaaay lighter and still durable too.
The 4 was better, even with the sweater upper. That H plate killed the bounce in the forefoot.

Please try Adidas Prime X2 Strung
Absolutely phenomenal for heavy runners.
Is there a tutorial on how he ties his shoes? Looks complete!
A couple of the old videos.

check out my last youtube short! also like corey said a few of the older videos have it

Are you gonna test the GoRun Ride 11?

Try the glycerin 21
I have been pleasantly surprised by brooks on glycerin 21

Nice review!
Hello mate is this Skechers good for walking and every day use please ??? Comparing this to brok max 15👏👏
they were decently comfortable for walking but i would take a shoe like the brooks ghost 15 or brooks ghost max over this. this has more of that aggresive rolling feel to help with running that's not really necessary for walking
I don't really get the weight... they used to be really light while maintaining the cushioning; what changed?
There's usually just a smidge of rubber on the front and back with exposed foam in the middle, I'd expect this version to last 1000miles.
If I recall correctly Fordy Runs also liked the Max Road a lot.
Just recently arrived here in UK for £!60+ , will wait until it comes down to £!40.

Yowana finds new use for the 'Rumpf 22 - Mosquito Killa's. 😂
Loving the Skechers love. I've got over 400 miles on my Max Road 5 and it's awesome.
Maxroad 6 is the Brooks Ghost Max meets NB FF More v4.
The previous version 5 is good enough for me , except for the outsole rubber which is just made up of a few small pods. Version 6 outsole win here and the glowing yellow midsole. But still way too heavy even for easy recovery days.
now do the Go Run Ride 11 and Razor 4

Oh, the carbon plate is totally unneeded and poorly applied on the Max Road, it's just a marketing gimmick.
