Good video and advice Antonio, but your collar is way too short and wide, and your tie knot is way too small, same your shirt, it looks too tight!!
As soon as you said "Large and in-charge" my mind went immediately to the Kingpin, then you mentioned him a minute later.

Is this a TV show?
@@bubblegumturtle213 He's a mob boss type villain from Marvel Comics, often seen fighting Spider-Man. But yes, he was featured in the Daredevil Netflix series. His portrayal was very intimidating. I hate to give spoilers, but in one episode he literally decapitated a guy with a car door for embarrassing him in front of his date.
Al Capone was a chubby man. No one ever called him fat. Not recommended.

Nicely done 👍🏼🍺
Cool. Thank you very much!
Thank you. I really hated the way he explains it.
Wasn't this supposed to be 21 tips?
Thanks for making this. I'm 6'2 and 270lbs. What I wear is such and important part of my life. I started getting my jeans tailored last year and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Also, I totally agree about trying things on. I wore 40 jeans forever, and then one day tried on a 38 and couldn't believe that they actually fit! Thanks for great advice.
Same, I'm 6'2 and 270 lbs. But 42 sized pants fit me.
I'm still in highschool 6'5" 280 pounds but I need cheap solution
I believe that looking your best is one of the key to attraction. No matter your size or shape.
I couldn't agree more. Fit is king! 👍
Sorry I should have explained myself..regardless of size we should all strive 2 be well dressed..peace and blessed day to all
Does it work when you‘re 5‘2 and really slim? :/
@@OfficialLPBS my friend...it doesn't matter...if you know how to put that look together or want to learn you will be just fine.....confidence..you can do it.......PEACE and love to you and your family....remember all things are positive.....only believe

Thanks man. I appreciate it - especially when it comes from a fellow creator.
Same here. You motivate me. You and Gentlemen’s Gazzete (I’m sure I misspelled it) motived me to dress up.
This really helped me out Antonio. I’m actually in the transition in clothing right now but for sure it is about dressing smart that compliments and not to distract or focus on my size.
I watched this video for the first time a long time ago . I’m a service manager for an Hvac and plumbing company. I’m a bigger guy. I don’t dress for Wall Street, but I invested in higher-end construction brand clothing, Duluth and carhartt brands mainly. Then I changed my attitude to large and in charge and stopped worrying about what people my think of me, I’m in command of my style! From out in the field , to the conference room , and all team meetings in front of 200 people. It was a literal overnight response I got in the office and the guys out In the field. My nervousness is gone and The respect is there. The right clothing to get the look you need and the right attitude can do wonders for your career. This video is perfect advice.
Hvac casual in the morning, drip, style and self care at night
I noticed more of your videos for chubby men suggest jackets and sweaters , but what should ppl like me do who lives in TX and it is hot all year :D
Same, I live in NC. In summer, spring, and fall I'd be soup in a jacket.
@@JamesEast-iy3ov Tampa FL here - try 2 very lightweight layers, good look for hot summer days: camp shirt with collar worn unbuttoned over a T-shirt or tank top

Perfect timing, Antonio...my dad was talking about dressing better last night. I'm gonna send him this 👌
Sounds great. Thanks Demetrios. Let me know what he thinks after watching the video
DXL is the best option for the Big Man. They are a little pricey but there is no better place to shop. They have everything and they do a lot of sales. I started going there when i was 320 lbs and was always the best dressed man at the office. You will be positively noticed.
@@craigmiller4536 thanks for mentioning DXL….Thankfully there is one where I live here in Oklahoma City. I’m gonna go check it out because I need help for more ideas to dress business casual.
I find a good cap in the autumn/winter months is the backerboy herringbone peaked cap, made of good wool keeps your head warm works really well for the larger lad also just a favourite of mine.
Antonio, your videos have been so helpful and have upgraded not only my look but my status in life, thank you for doing what you do.
Thanks bro♥️
Much needed video👍🏻
Good tips Antonio. As a guy who just lost 55 lbs I got a lot of my clothes tailored to my new body for the time being. I'm working on my new wardrobe slowly but surely.
That's a good problem to have, man. Congratulations on the transformation!
Congratulations! Keep it up Dane ;)
Finally! Thanks for this one man!
This was so helpful!! I got so many great tips for my husband's wardrobe. He is so underconfident and I hate when people don't take him seriously but he has 20 years of business experience and so much emotional maturity. He brings so much gravitas to a room and I'm excited to style him sharp :D
Man this video turned my whole mind around. Thanks. I've been feeling nervous about upping my style.
Nice vid, some helpful comments too! Trying to help my boyfriend revamp his style a little (at his request.) Lots of good points here to keep in mind!
This is awesome! My partner is a big guy and is very self conscious, only wears the same 3 outfits and all of them are the same oversized shirt and long cargo pants, I’m taking him shopping this weekend for some new fits to boost up his confidence! You’re in for is very helpful for me to help him, thankyou :)
great video... i know i probably commented before but i watch this video again and again to implement changes. i always learn something new
Thank you, Antonio. This video is informative like all of your videos,
This video is really great and helpful for me i kinda do some of the points in it but sure thing i will try the other points to.
Love your channel you articulate details always informative keep up the great work
Thanks for the tips Antonio! Also I love the tie!
I've been waiting for a video like this
Really great advice, inspirational. Thanks so much for these excellent tips!
Here in Canada, Daniel Hechter is a great brand for the larger gentlemen who wants to look stylish.
I've bought a sport jacket, a number of long sleeve sport shirts and two coats from them thus far.
Great video Antonio!
I remember when I was fat I hated dressing sharp now I absolutely love it I’m a second time weight loss champion. Lost it the first time so I could join the military then I gained it back after getting married. Decided to get back in shape May of 2014 and maintained.
Sounds like my story, except I'm trying to work on that second go around. Working REALLY REALLY hard and it's not been much success.
love this video. thanks !
As I posted in reply to one of your other videos, and you allude to: Remember that your wast and your stomach are not in the same location. Your waist is at your hips. You can buy (for example) underwear for your waist size, but generally should not buy pants that size. IMHO, your pants should fit at the center of your stomach, with the pants waist horizontal--nothing calls attention to your stomach size as much as having pants whose waist is below your stomach (at your waist) so your stomach is hanging over your pants waist and belt. That usually requires high-rise pants and suspenders (as he mentioned). Yes, you can wear suspenders with casual pants including jeans and khakis. Suspenders are a great way to add some pop to your outfit however informal or formal it is, don't be intimidated about them. Or you can wear suspenders that do not call attention to them--for example, even denim suspenders with jeans.
Suspenders look great on bigger men
i started shopping at the big and tall and has changed my life for ever.
I'm a girl and I ended up watching your entire video, and I have to say, you sir have quality content. All the points you spoke about were spot on.
Thank you so much for these great tips!
Love the video thanks for the tips
Damn dude that is what i've been looking for thanks a lot for the informations antonio .......
Awesome video! Can you do more like this with some style combo ideas?
I love your big guy content bc I'm a big guy haha. But honestly I love all your content and just adjust it for my big frame.
Love this shirt tie cardigan combo! Stealing this look :)
I have been following for years after my son and just not paying attention I put on the weight. This is amazing video on my transition back to normal weight. Thanks again!
Really great video, very informative.
Great info!
Glad I found this video! For most part I’ve been dressing pretty sloppy “comfy”, but I recently got a job where I’ll be in charge of others and need to be professional so I need to start dressing professionally. Where I’m from dressing professionally isn’t a norm it is really laid back but when I dress like this it really helps with my confidence cause I feel like I am where I am suppose to be.
Thanks - all good advice... and beard on large guys really improves overall look!
Great video
Great video I’m also a big guy. I work as a security guard and I make sure my uniform is neatly pressed & clean and I go for my haircut every two weeks. As a result I’ve worked in a upscale residential buildings, office buildings and 5 star resorts.
Because of my need appearance i’ve never been out of work not even during this pandemic.
By the way I shop at DXL here in Tampa Florida. They are great they have a lot of selections for big guys both in store and online.
2.15 mark......always a sports jacket 😉
Another great vidio Antonio👍
It's about time.thank you.
Great video!!! I usually go to casual male XL for my clothes mainly because I’ve been a BIG guy all my life and also that’s been a personal goal for myself to be well groomed and not sloppy and well dressed
7:02 Raymound !!
Great as always
Great video very helpful... any suggestions for hot weather outfits.
Thank you for this video... 45yo former linebacker here. I appreciate this advice.
I appreciate the great tips. I was a little taken back when you referred to dressing comfy to sloppiness but I see your point. I don't live a lifestyle to warrant suits ties and all that. I would like to elevate my style and find a happy medium between the two extremes. Wish me luck and drop some tips or links if you have. God bless Sir. I can see you're passionate about helping your fellow man be their best.
Good on you for making that decision. As a woman married to a tradesman who's transitioned from baggy jeans, t-shirts and sneakers to a more dapper version of himself, I can second Antonio's recommendation to do it gradually and learn along the way. Maybe start off with a pair of dark jeans and t-shirt that fit well and add a leather jacket. Get a long sleeved, linen shirt that monochromatically matches your pants and roll the sleeves up below the elbow for a dressier but still relaxed look. Swap out sport shoes for something in leather, perhaps an elastic-gusset dress shoe until you're comfortable to transition to lace-ups. And yes, definitely keep your head and facial hair looking sharp at a really good barber.
Top vid Antonio 👍
Good vid, man! Any tips for long legged dudes?
At 5'11" and 280, I have a big build. I carry it well, cause I was in the military and still have big shoulders, but that just mean I need to patch how I present myself.
For most of my clothing needs, I love the Kohl's big and tall section. I normally have to buy a 3xl, but if I can find a nice 2xt with a wide collar, I go for it every time.
One tip for my fellow big guys, when possible, roll up a long sleeve shirt instead of a short sleeve. we tend to have big beefy arms, draw some attention there.
Lol fr I used to buy jeans oversized forever but I’ve finally got my right size now
Great timing on this video. I started looking into this subject last night
Thank you for this video, my fiance is a big guy and I've watched so many videos that made no sense to me. Thank you for helping me learn how to dress my man.
My fitting problem usually comes from the width of my shoulders, so I have to take my shirts in at the waist. The best way I've found is to start sewing at the elbow of the sleeve and turn at the seam between the sleeve and the body.(this also helps with the shirt untucking problem with off the rack shirts) I also get a little more aggressive a few inches below the armpit because my lats are a little pronounced from rock climbing.
Always start by turning the shirt inside-out and pinning it with safety pins, so you know exactly how you want it!
Hope this helps someone out there
That's always tough. The trouble with being a big guy is we all have slightly different proportions, so if you can't afford personally tailored clothing you've got a problem on your hands.
Best video Ive seen in a long time
Thanks this actually helps
I love this video man. I had to work on myself so hard just to dare and wear more "fancy" clothing. I'm a huge hat-fan and if i wear anything else than a baseballcap or flatcap i can feel the looks pierce in my back, but screw their looks. You can do whatever you want, and what makes you feel GOOD as long as you don't hurt others with it, and nice clothing is part of this.
Antonio, that green tie is fresh!
Thank you!
this is amazing thank you
Love it!
Watching this because I do all the clothing shopping and my husband is 6'5 and 300lbs. He has massive shoulders and not a huge waist so it's hard to find clothes that fit him, this video was helpful.
WOW!!!! Thank You so much! I’m really having a hard time finding a better clothing for my husband coz he has a big gut!
Great video. Thanks for thinking of the big guys. DXL is a good option and also Mens Warehouse for some items.
Watching few hours before the interview haha
Want to add a second comment here. As I stated earlier, I am short 5'3". I am also round. I can't tell you how many times another person has equated my height with competence. Same with my weight. Even when I am helping someone move. How many guys come running over thinking that I am weak. It's sad really. When I started dressing well at work, I noticed that some wanted to hear my ideas and take my contributions seriously (we are project-based work). I cannot emphasize enough how dressing well really affects the way people treat you.
Thankyou for this..
Sir i have been following your channel for about 2 months now and so far i have really liked what i have seen from it, being a being a big guy who has always been a very nice dressing guy it is refreshing to see this video and seeing that someone is caring about the big guy. Majority of the things that you said i have been practicing for a long time just knowing my body type which i gain more weight in the love handle section than anywhere else but i stay clean, dress very well and always the best smelling guy in the room, my signature scent is Tom Ford Beau de Jour because i love barber shop aromatic fougeres . I have never had any problem with women because i always keep a great personality and i have always made good money as a Chef, just want to let you know that you have a fan of your content.
All of these are good tips for winters. There's no way a big guy can dress like that in the summer without melting. We already sweat more than the average person.
My stepson is sloppy and his beard and hair unkempt. He needs to clean up for his career change, and so I am charged with getting him presentable. I loved your presentation, ideas, and tips, and it was so helpful. I now have a better idea of what I need to do, and where I need to go to get him spiffed up. Thanks so much!
I love this video. I already do a lot of these. I'm 5'9" and 300lbs and it is very difficult to not look sloppy at my height and weight. Bonus, I have HUGE shoulders. I love the 20's and 30's style of dress for men and it actually fits my body type well. You asked about brands and stores; believe it or not Walmart carries a pair of pants that works very well for the pear or oval shape. Wrangler Comfort Flexfit cargo pants. The cargo pocket is an inside pocket with a hidden zipper so you don't see it. They actually look like a trouser or slack. They are made with polyester/nylon flex material and work very well with suspenders with braces rather than clips. Get a size larger and you can wear them at the natural waist.
Same bro, 5'9 and pushing 300lbs...not fun at all. I'm not rich either so all this talk about tailors and expensive clothes doesn't work for my or my lifestyle as i don't work an important job that requires flash clothing. Got a new plan to cut myself back to 210lbs, that way i can wear normal clothes again, wish me luck 😂
My people. Same size and weigh
And yeah, those Wranglers are amazing. I get the ones made of mostly cotton and twill. That plus a pair of 1.5in suspenders at 48in. So much better than pulling a belt so tight you mark up your hips
Great video. I'm surprised you didn't mention Shirt Stays though.
Man, Kingpin really does look great! Great motivation.
I recommend
GH Bass for shirts
Britches for pants
And for suits that are affordable and fitting Alain depetit
But off course most clothes should go to the tailor maybe for minor procedures to fit perfectly
1:44 no way that's my university, Hkust! I can recognise the exact seat I used to sit in for my information systems class
LOVE THIS MAN❤️
I just found this out last week, but Shaquille O’Neal has a big and tall section of suits and other professional clothes and for a really good price and obviously if it fits shaq it’ll fit everyone
There needs to be a muscle fit esque shirt which is tight short sleeve loose belly, I’m tired of either my arms looking swamped or my belly lookin huge
High rise pants with suspenders covered by a matching waistcoat. And patterns with a vertical stripe.
I just got a promotion at work, and need to dress the part. Sadly, I have put on some Covid weight (a lot). I buy a shirt that fits my shoulders and chest... then the sleeves are far too long.
Looking at learning from this channel. As a 61 year old man, 5'8" 256lbs.... I'm wanting to take on a classic look that will help me exude confidence and pull me up to me peers.
wow great video
Great video.
My issue has always been the way my weight and size shifts when I sit down. It’s one thing to have attractive fitted clothing when I’m standing, but then I sit down and I’m bursting out in the middle.
I recently turned 60 and have (finally) considered ditching the ole t-shirt hang out stoner gig. Perhaps this video, and/or others, will help me along to find a new me.
Yo, bro.....Thank you !
I'm a big guy (6'1" and tipping the scale at 282lbs). I was at 307lbs and now I am back on the dating scene in realize lots of changed when I came off the market. I have been doing some research about style and fashion for guys size. The video has shown me if you things and showed me a few ideas. I'm taking notes about dressing sharper for when I do go on dates I want to look my best however I do normally wear jeans and a t-shirt on a daily basis but I have nothing to do or I'm around the house. do you have any tips or videos about that kind of casual wear so I can still dress that casual and still look my best?
LONG/HIGH RISE - So true, thank you Antonio. All trousers used to be of a higher rise. Then about eleven years ago they all went low rise. For a bigger guy that was bad news.
Lands’ End does regular and long rise in their khakis and dress pants. It’s all I’ll buy. Note to fellow viewers - Long Rise is different from “Tall.” Tall is about the outseam (ie how long the pants are overall), whereas Long Rise is about the inseam (ie how much room there is from the crotch to your belt line). I have to have Long Rise or my stomach hangs over my belt line. No good. I’d be screwed without Lands’ End.
I also have been wearing Lands End "Long Rise" pants for years. Great for covering that spare tire!
Antonio Centeno Great video! How about doing a video for guys who are 5'7" and under? What to wear, how to wear it, what works and what to avoid.
I stay away from contrasting colors (pants vs shirts) so the eye isn't drawn to the waist. I wear a lot of gray & khaki pants with neutral shirts.
Good video, I'm a big guy and I utilize alot of these tips. I'm not a big one wearing suspenders, I prefer belts. I order clothes from King Size and shop at the local DXL clothing store.
It would be great if you talked about big, short men! I believe this is s category rarely touched upon! I'm 5'6" and 190lbs! Fortunately, I've been learning a lot on how to dress for my body, but when/if I don't do it right, I can lot stumpy.
190lbs ain’t even heavy for that size.
I’m 5’7” and 230lbs. I find this size very difficult, as I’m short and xxl shirts are long and oversized, xl is too tight to button. All pants are too long at the 36-38 waist length.
For real, I have the same torso waist, width, muscles, shape, thickness etc as my 6’3 220lbs buddy except I’m 5’7 and weigh about 180lbs
Lineage brand, slim suit for big and tall. I'm 52R 46W and it looks great for the bigger person. I'm 5'11 at 265lbs and the look was extremely modern with a well fit.
This man does not blink.
I usually buy brooks brother, John Langford, Arrow for shirts and trousers and all of my suits/blazers and jeans are all tailored
Fantastic 👍
