Very disappointing the controls cannot be remapped on PS5 - I don't want to press thumbsticks to sprint and lock on enemies. Don't understand why many games allow full controls customization on PC but not on consoles...
I'll never understand the whole 'oh another Soulslike" chatter... I mean, there are more Metroidvanias that get made then Soulsy type games... and if you don't like a genre for whatever reason, why whinge about it ? They clearly sell well and many people like them.. I say the more the better and I won't apologise for that..
Yeah I agree. I'm all for more games like Lies of P, Mortal Shell, The Surge, Lords of the Fallen, Thymesia, Steelrising… to name a few. The more the merrier. And to those who are sick of them, no one's forcing you to play them.
Bring em on, I love seeing different takes on this genre. Even the lower grade ones have more lore and engagement than most of the junk being thrown at us.
Throughout the entire video I was pretty bothered by how the UI looks. For me, the problem isn't necessarily how generic and as you said how placeholder-y it looks like, but for me the UI kinda sticks out like a sore thumb. It grabs my attention over the visuals of the game in the worst way possible. The game graphics itself for me look more than good enough. I think they do the game justice for what it's supposed to convey. It's almost like the graphics and UI having polar opposite weight distribution on the scales. It doesn't mesh all that well as the style they go with both seem very different instead of complementory to each other for more immersion. I feel like I'm looking at Titan Quest's UI while playing a modern game, sadly. Team size aside, I still wanted to give my honest opinion, though.
@@cwavygaming6615 nah. I normally agree with souls likes being terrible when they suck ..but lords of the fallen got my respect, it's got great exploration too. It's not ridiculously hard too once you get a good build going..lords of the fallen got a bunch of mixed feels from everyone ..but to me , it's the closest souls like I've played. Lies of p was aight too..but it ain't on lords of the fallen level👳🏽♂️
The original game was pretty fun and cool but played from top down. I did enjoy the game and was looking to see if it’s worth the price right now. Sale for 23 bucks if you’re a ps plus subscriber Edit: just wanted to add I also enjoyed your video and thanks for making it

Hey, thanks for watching! So for the first four areas the enemy variety was pretty decent. Every area had some new mob types with some repeats. The final area also has one or two new types but it repeats enemies more than the others. Ultimately I thought the game didn't go on long enough for the repeated enemy types to be a problem, so it was a good amount of variety for me.
If you want to like this game I highly recommend purchasing it for a Nintendo switch this way you have a more than decent souls like game for your switch on the go because for that platform it's very lackluster

Couldn't the extra health stamina bar just be leveling up and not be a ability that must be equipped.
Can you please tell me if it's a hard game like a souls game?

No easy mode. Definitely challenging but not as punishing and a bit more approachable for a casual player than soulslikes usually.
I played some hours, and it is not so bad. I like it, but it is not as good as "Lord of the fallen" of course ^^

If you just want a Bloodborne remaster/remake and get the wish version 😅
bloodborne is too good to sell. the common gamer prefers ubi-slop, sony walking sims and nintendo games that handhold and basically play themselves.
Lies of P got us covered as far as spiritual successor to Bloodborne. Amazing game, I do want to try Lords of Ire out too. The demo was decent

The problem with all these imitators is anytime I look at them I’m just like ok, but I’d rather just play Souls.
