Great review. Definitely found my next watch purchase. Kind of wild that you can get this type of quality for the price. These chinese watchmakers are really stepping up the game
Thank you. the DJ was one always on my radar but I never really felt the need to have one...the parnis got the its going, but now im in full "gotta have it" mode...lol
I went through a phase of buying superclones, but I've sold them all now, and I'm really enjoying some homage watches. I've recently bought three Cronos watches and the quality is very impressive. They're beautifully finished, and even the quality of things like the screws in the bracelet back up that feeling of quality. I got the grey DJ, but that blue is pretty too. I enjoy your videos, thank you. 👍
I am struggling to justify the extra $100 of the San Martin SN059 over this Chronos version - quality is on par with the San Martin, plus it seams that the San Martin with the President style bracelet are now using a "hidden" clasp without microadjust, so if you want that you have to order the Jubilee bracelet. The San Martin and the Chronos use the same PT5000 movement, so the only difference between the two is the MOP dial option that you can choose with the San Martin, which surely does not cost $100 in itself. The case and bracelet finishing seems to be on the same standard, the lume material used is the same, applied markers, same extent of antireflectant material also on the cyclops, so it seems that the extra $100 you pay os for the "San Martin" brand name.......... which is actually negating the whole purpose of buying homage watches in the first place. I would love if you would make a comparison between the Chronos L6010 and the San Martin SN059.
So frequently that printed logo just doesn't look centered beneath the 12 o'clock. It's too bad, because I prefer it to the applied logo. Your watch appears to have the issue, with the hourglass biased to the left baton of the dual baton indice. Thanks for the excellent review.
@@fabriziot.4657 really, ok, why do you say garbage? I'm a noob so mostly concerned with looks haha, shininess etc... And obviously something that lasts
The outdoor shots show the true color, it's a pretty radiant blue, almost electric blue. I'd look at San Martin, they have a MOP that is kind of blue, then RIMALTI but those are 36mm IIRC
Hi do you think this is the same watch as the San Martin Datejust 41 , I think the SM has a slightly darker dial ( I hope so) does anyone know if the dial is darker on the San Martin. I ask as both watches look surprisingly similar with the same measurements.
@@Dondaddyh Hi can you tell how the San Martin Blue compares to the Rolex DJ blue. Obviously you won’t have a Rolex to hand but may have seen one in real life or on a video.
Just bought one… exceeded expectations for sure. Only issue is slight play in clasp when closed. It clicks/rattles if I tap it even lightly. Is that the case with yours?
Nope, not the case. But between this loaner blue one and my personal silver one, there was a decent difference between the stiffness of the clasp. But I cant say either rattled when tapped. They were both on the more solid side.
@@EscapeWheel I wouldn't mind a 38mm. I bought the bulova super seville/day date(silver dial) because I was tired of waiting for SM and Cronos to make a smaller variant. And the thing is SO versatile. I'd definitely buy a black dial datejust version
All have been really good and holding up well. I'm pretty easy on my watches and they are part of a collection so not much abuse on them....but they are just like brand new still
@@EscapeWheel thank you!...I wanna pull the trigger on the l6010...My current watches are Tissot, Orient. Mido...I've been on the fence wondering about q.c and long term ...I'm the same in regards to "taking great care" of the ones I own!
I just placed an order, grey.. but now I find the green soooo nice, yet I'm not sure how it will stand against the Rolex real deal. You can't go wrong with the grey dial.

How much is this watch?
I had the graphite version, but after watching your video many times, I finally got the blue one - it really is stunning in every way.
I'm a huge fan of the date-just, so that being said, Cronos did a great job with this homage. Nice review, Steve.

@@EscapeWheel Duuuude I have the Cadisen, the Pagani and the Parnis. I'm hoping the Cronos on the way ends this madness. Haha.
@@realeyesrealizereallies99 how is the cronos? Looks like cronos is the only one that nailed that bezel light play action.

Thanks for watching. Cronos makes a very nice watch indeed.
Which one you recommend this or Baltany as you review both? I like to wear watch tight 😊
How's your bezel plating after a 1 year? Is it still so shiny?
I’ve got the San Martin, very similar but 20mm bracelet. Slightly darker dial, same clasp as well. Great review
Will the plating on the bezel wear off over time (assuming you don’t bang it around)
That bracelet alone makes me want one, I'm certain this will be my next purchase as soon as there is a sale.
Coming up next week!

My day date review
ua-cam.com/video/ZXzWUvAuu2Y/v-deo.html
The Cronos is nicer, but not by much. It's all in the case and bezel
This Is by far the best dj homage outthere.I would have preferred a bit darker shade of Blue but the Watch Is great for the price!
Do you believe this is better than the pagani design one? Thanks
@@frblaze2 Yes! I had the pagani and It was garbage..never had this but this video Is enough to Say It Is on a much higher level

Steve is this watch as dark blue as your video makes it look? And do you think there is a darker blue by any other aliexpress watch?

Do you know if the bezel can come off? I don't like the crinkle bezel and would like to put the smooth one on. Tnx.
probably, but not something I would do, and then to find a replacement that fits.... would be tough
Finally, a worthy DateJust I like lol
thanks for watching. its awesome.
Bezel platinum plating... How's does this plating hold up? Only deal breaker alone with pt5000 m.
Playing is holding up well on mine...but it's an occasional watch for me.
PT5000 also is running great.

I’ve got the SM it’s slightly darker and 20mm lugs, very similar 👍🏽
thanks. but do you have the 36mm? the 41mm is listed as having 21mm lugs still.
@@EscapeWheel No it’s the 40mm , I am just going by measuring, but I’ve never changed the strap

How is your cronos date just watch now? Is it running fine?

I REALLY wish they would do a 36mm-38mm version.

Yes. Better bezel, better Lume, thinner, more accurate movement, and the bracelet and clasp are just next level

Thank you!
How have your cronos watches been.....long term wise?

how thick is the bezel?
No possible too accurately measure. 2mm y'all would be my guess
In my opinion, grey is the way to go (unfortunately, as everything else lately... 😏😎)

Thanks. Just picked up my very own in silver for $200. Heck of a deal
This is a great watch. Rolex for the insane price you pay is only slightly better.
a bit embarrassing 21mm bracelet, otherwise great watch, thanks
The genuine Datejust has 21mm lugs. I like it, it creates a greater taper making it look more classy.
The bracelet is so good you won't want to replace it anyway
