I'm 27 with a wife and full time job and all the other adult responsibilities but these videos have me practicing card tricks like I'm a kid. Driving my wife nuts every night like " WATCH THIS WATCH THIS!" Lol. Thanks for the new INSPIRATION!
I have been on UA-cam for many, many years now. I have seen a lot of different channels, each with wavering levels of quality from video to video. I have to say everything you put out is consistently brilliant. Your channel is by far my favourite on the site. Just wanted to say thanks for all your uploads and the effort you put into them.
First things first, thanks so much for putting out these amazing videos. Probably my favorite magician on UA-cam to follow. To everyone struggling with this...maybe I can help a little. I'm no expert, I've just started on my journey a few months ago. This move took me 3 days to "figure out" the basic mechanics of, and after about two weeks of practice, I'm finally able to do it consistently. Nowhere near as good or invisible as what you see pros like Chris do obviously, but it doesn't look terrible from the front angle. One tip that really helped me is to practice pushing the cards in the middle out without sliding them under the card to control to the top. Just break off a packet, tilt up, and while tilting back down, practice sliding the top card(s) of the bottom packet up with the top packet (being held in your thumb and index finger, since your middle will eventually need to be on the card to control). Once you've got that down, the addition of the extra card on top of it (the card to control) will make things a little trickier of course, but once you understand the pressure you need to apply to get those cards in the middle slid outwards to cover the control, it should become much more intuitive. Good luck!
I know you probably won't see this, but I just wanted to say that I'm so glad I found your channel! I've been watching your videos every day..... And I've always had a dream to do magic, and this has helped inspire me so much!! And thank you for keeping it fun unlike many magicians today haha!! God bless brother
I am a newbie and I cannot stop watching your videos. THIS one is amazing and actually not that hard to do - soley because of your thorough direction you distill it down to simplicity. Man, I am SO into card tricks after going to Vegas and seeing Mat Franko and David Copperfield, then going to a shop. Top notch man, keep it up! Thank you so much.
I have ever seen a more beautiful control. Before i saw behind the scenes, I had no idea what kind of movements i would expect. This "big" amount of movement for such a quick small action is absolutely breath taking. The way that each movement perfectly alligns for the next os unlike anything I've seen so far. Thank you for sharing this Chris, magic like this always opens up new doors for me especially outside og magic. There's always more then what meets the eye
Tutorial Monday had an idea behind it. It made me actually wait for a Monday. You made Mondays worth waiting for. Tutorial Tuesday may have a nice ring to it but tutorial Monday is the real deal. #ramfam #tutorialmonday
Yes, please do a tutorial at least once a week. I've been learning so much from you and I've only been practicing for 2 months. I can already impress random people and I can't wait to learn more from you. Thanks!
7:39 "Its kinda magical" YEAH. IT IS. I keep saying it.... I am MORE impressed with each trick you teach once I've learned how you've done it. You are a literal magician.
"I'm going to show you one last time, then that's it. You guys are just going to have to re-watch this." Lol. Thanks Chris. I started learning card magic around five weeks ago, and your content has steadily kept me going forward. Like most people who begin learning on UA-cam, you stumble around, going from channel to channel, till you land on a few that really speak to you. And you sir, are nothing short of incredible to learn from. Thank you for your effort and time in the production of these vids.
I wish I could like this twice. Your tutorials are just brilliant. Been learning less than a week, but you make the mechanics so easy to follow and understand that my boss already thinks I'm a witch. Seriously loving your work!
I’m here to advance in card tricks so when my daughter is old enough to comprehend what’s going on I can blow her mind and make her think her dad is a wizard 😂😂
I have learned so much from you it's incredible. I have hundreds of hours of practice in now. I just sit at the the kitchen table practicing over and over until I get it then when I go to the gas station, see a police officer, a fast food attendant, whenever I'm out I love to perform a trick. Engineer by trade, programmer, graphic designer, musician. Math freak. It all applies to magic as well. I love it so much. I always is ask first though if someone likes magic now though because I got kicked out of a hotel once for practicing "Voodoo"
I have learned this move so that it only pushes out one card. You use the top half of the deck to push the card that was under the controlled card before it was controlled out. Your videos are awesome! :)
I watched one of your videos recently and you mentioned your role models and who you looked up to since day one. This made me realize that you probably hear this enough, but you are the reason that I got my first deck and I'm starting to learn cardistry and magic. I also have a deck of the Memento Mori cards.
Dude this was so hard for me to learn for some reason! Seriously had to watch this like 20 times and practice it a thousand but I just now am starting to get it which is good cuz this is such an effective control and my personal favorite.
i tried this myself now after the tutorial and after alot of practice i managed to only "shoot" 1 card out instead of making the block. have fooled many of the other students at the school thx love your vids and the tutorials are great. have an awesome day and keep up the good work
Glad to see you back for another year. You may be my favorite UA-camr. Within word 1 of my first video of yours I watched, I was like, yeah. I would like to hang out with this guy.
Awesome vid man, loved the card control and I'll be sure to put the time into it and master it. I'm a huge fan and in my opinion you've been killing it lately, I hope you can keep doing what you love! Do you think we could we get a Vlog soon or an update on first playing cards? Keep the tutorials on Monday cause it really makes my Monday a whole bunch better and I look forward to it after a long day of school. #RAMFAM
Been practicing this and it DOES get easier, but it requires a LOT of patience, and trial, and error. This is a GREAT control. The most difficult part is to get that second card to protrude. I still have issues with that.
Bro was watching a basic card trick tutorial, was directed to this nice control move. *clearing throat* the best intro to one of your videos ive seen. AWESOME
Hey chris. I know its an old video but im 46 and found your channel about two months ago and subscribed and did this card trick to my 6 yr old daughter and blew her mind. Hige huge thx. Great videos and very entertaining
Please can somekne help. I cant get the cards to push forward. Well i can but they are ALL directly under the top card that I swap so it does not look like card in the middle as its supposed too.
Man, I'm getting most of this but for the life of my I cannot figure out how to push the other cards out. I'm keeping downward pressure but there's got to be something I'm missing.
You are the BEST Chris!!! I love your videos! I found a pack of cards in my cupboard and decided to learn some tricks, I turned to UA-cam. I saw one your videos and got completely hooked! You have inspired me! Thank you!
I've been here since early 50-100k when i was really super into magic and after about 5 months of inactivity i can see your channel has just blew up and everything here is fucking amazing man
Watches magic tutorial Doesn't expect to see a full on cinematic experience and professional intro *looks at the channel - Sees its Chris Ramsay "well there we go"
Make sure they're straight. Old cards, have a tendency to stay tucked together, rather than newish cards slide litterly without effort. Ho's or monarchs are my advice.
Thanks brother you are the reason I started learning magic cardestry. I appreciate your teaching style and your whole vibe is super cool. Thanks Chris for inspiring me to get into magic you rock bro
Hey Chris! Great last name btw!! Thx for this video. I’ve always wanted to be able to do card tricks, but I just sucked badly. All the best, keep the tutorials coming, and for the love of God, be safe. -D. 😎
bruh i'm having bad time with this move, i don't know why but when i put the selected card back and the top cards forward the bottom cards does not pop out... heeelp
I'm having the same problem. HELP!! No matter how hard I push and bend the top pack and no matter the direction, the decoy card just won't come out consistently and never far enough. As with everything Chris does, he makes it look so easy!!
Whats the exact music title used in the intro from epidemic sounds , i heard before from jon olsson as well but i have been searching for it for so long but still cant find the track from the epidemic sound website , help please ramsay! appreciate it , cheer!
Just found you last night and loving it. Helping with amusement (although I'm just a lover of tricks). Also mad respect for your reposting with tags comment (fair is fair in a game of love and war). Peace!

Love this! Been practicing all night long! Just ordered a set of red lions, to bad I missed out on your solo set. Great channel, also got voodoo and have some blanks coming. Can't wait to blow minds.
4:04 "I know it looks really complicated" I just learned I think its called the ferdnase color change. Same idea. I feel smart for figuring this one out
Sorry for the reupload. Had to add music! lolll Enjoy the move and keep practicing!

Chris is definitely one of the best. Over the past year, I have come a long way, in no small part thanks to his insights.

Those teaching skills are on point
Even knowing the trick, I'm still amazed every time you control that card. It's the beauty of it. Thanks man, greetings from Argentina!!
“Now I know this looks a bit complicated and believe me it is” I love you Chris lol

You will never, ever, know how much I’m grateful for this. This is wha it was looking for!❤
Thank you for all that you do. My 6 year old son and I love watching your videos and learning magic together. You're such an inspiration for us!

Finally got this down. Only took 5 weeks
King Kush how? It’s hard but not that hard. It’s taken me 2 days to get it right slowly. It won’t take long to get it going faster
Ive been doing it for about 5 days now and its pretty solid looking
Obviously king kush means hes got it down right & tight. Lol
@FDMtech slick is the hard part, so you don't have it down yet.
FDMtech bottom packet won’t slide bruh
Tutorial Monday had an idea behind it.
It made me actually wait for a Monday. You made Mondays worth waiting for.
Tutorial Tuesday may have a nice ring to it but tutorial Monday is the real deal.

I watch your tutorials, understand the trick and it still astounds me when i see it performed afterwards. You have a great talent.
Love the editing in this video also love this control. I needed a new one and this is perfect!!
P.S. nice NOCs
They are awesome. I got all five of the NOC Originals colors. Amazing cards.
They really are, for the price you can't beat the quality.
Max Diamond white nocs are my favorite
yo NOCs are amazing i have 9 decks of them and they as of right now have the best feel and handling in my opinion

It is being a wizard in a way!
I am watching this in 2019 and I still love the way you are explaining every single detail of this move making it look super easy. 👊👊👊
"I will block and delete you" lol got it
I have learned so much from you it's incredible. I have hundreds of hours of practice in now. Imaad Virani very true
true, but without Monday there would be no weekend to appreciate
I have learned this move so that it only pushes out one card. You use the top half of the deck to push the card that was under the controlled card before it was controlled out. Your videos are awesome! :)

FeelingZesty total curiosity but have you kept up the cardistry? ✌🏻️
This is the first ever trick I've been showing off to people and I really love the reactions I get. Again, love learning from you, thanks Chris! ✌
Another insanely good video and tutorial 👏👏👏

The pushing down into the deck made me get it so fast!!! I did a literal gasp and an audible "wow" when I got it haha that move is so satisfying
Been practicing this and it DOES get easier, but it requires a LOT of patience, and trial, and error. This is a GREAT control. The most difficult part is to get that second card to protrude. I still have issues with that.
Same struggling with that did you eventually get it down?
Bro was watching a basic card trick tutorial, was directed to this nice control move. *clearing throat* the best intro to one of your videos ive seen. AWESOME
Chris, I like your tutorials they're awesome thank you so much for this tutorial I wanted to learn this a long time ago!!!😍
Hey chris. I know its an old video but im 46 and found your channel about two months ago and subscribed and did this card trick to my 6 yr old daughter and blew her mind. Hige huge thx. Great videos and very entertaining
Man getting those cards to slide forward is so frustrating when you're complete garbage at this.
Try putting more pressure on to the packet youre trying to slip down under the real card. It helps a lot
Please can somekne help. I cant get the cards to push forward. Well i can but they are ALL directly under the top card that I swap so it does not look like card in the middle as its supposed too.
I have the same problem
You have to press downwards at an angle so that the pressure of the cards makes the top of the other packet (where the card SHOULD be from spec pov)
I am applying much pressure but then also the cards aren't sliding ahead.... What should I do ?
I thought I would never be able to do this move, been practicing 3 hours now and it’s slowly getting better. Cheers Ramsay 👍🏼
Man, I'm getting most of this but for the life of my I cannot figure out how to push the other cards out. I'm keeping downward pressure but there's got to be something I'm missing.
@@nathanielshawe2751 I have the same problem. I got it all right but at the point of pushing the others cards up … Im stuck …
i think its because his card has more friction
You can get a feel for it by just taking half the deck and trying to slide a card out of the other half with it.
You shuld apply pressure diagonally
Sobha V actually while I might not be as fast, 2 years later I can do it convincingly. It’s all practice.
I really appreciate that you put the effort I to making these instructional videos years ago. Very much enjoying rewatching them.
CHRIS!! YOURE THE MAN BRO!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thanks for the tutorial! It required a lot of practice but it's now my go-to card control! It's very clean and its versatile.
“I’ll block and delete you”. 😂
God damn it I love this dude!
You are the BEST Chris!!! I love your videos! I found a pack of cards in my cupboard and decided to learn some tricks, I turned to UA-cam. I saw one your videos and got completely hooked! You have inspired me! Thank you!
Very nice intro :D and happy new year to you, mr trucks for fun ^^
Wow!! This control alone is the best thing I've learned so far. It's so clean when done right! Awesome!
This went missing for a moment. I got legit scared 😂
Samee lol
He made it disappear
My new favorite control. So smooth and not too difficult. Looks fantastic. Thank you!
His “DO NOT DO THIS” is still better than mine after a couple days of practice
i love this little effects which, when executed perfectly, blow minds in seconds.
keep tutorial monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The intro to this video is remarkably beautifully done.
Yo Chris you should add in the description what cards you're using.
StormY Gaming he’s using the green noc’s
I was so fascinated the first time I got it perfect. It is indeed a fantastic control..Thank you for sharing this gem Chris !!
Im still confused even after watching the tutorial.
this one takes lots of practice not very beginner but its cool if you get this one down
Same here. :3
I've been here since early 50-100k when i was really super into magic and after about 5 months of inactivity i can see your channel has just blew up and everything here is fucking amazing man
Can someone explain me how that block of cards is poping out i did this so much but block of cards don't appear help me someone
i really like this control, and it is very knacky, the hardest part being to get the card to push out reliably. Thank you for the knowledge.
Watches magic tutorial
Doesn't expect to see a full on cinematic experience and professional intro
*looks at the channel - Sees its Chris Ramsay
"well there we go"
Loved the intro song and the snow fall video roll. Thank you for re-uploading it so I could watch it for the first time!
what song is it?
video starts at 2:43
Had to watch in slow mo to truly understand how to do this thanks for having amazing video quality that allows for a clean slow mo tutorial
When I bend the packet and push it into the deck, it just goes straight in and no block of cards gets pushed up :(
same with me though
Me too
I think we need new cards
Make sure they're straight. Old cards, have a tendency to stay tucked together, rather than newish cards slide litterly without effort. Ho's or monarchs are my advice.
Hey Chris just found this and it works amazingly for my ambitious card routine. Thanks for all you have done for the rest of us.
0:13 can I know the name of the music pleaese?
oomiee - Messed Up Kids
Here it is... after one year xD i hoped that i helped you
Just like Earnest Earick bow to stern control. Extremely deceptive!! You make it look good Chris!! Very nice!!!
i dont understand how you can push half of the pack under the card without moving it at all
great vid tho, thanks a lot!
Your videos have absolutely inspired me to get into cardistry and card magic tricks. Keep up the great work sir
now that's my favourite too !
Looking back on this. This is one of the best things you ever taught on this channel I think
I almost broke my fingers man😂
Thanks brother you are the reason I started learning magic cardestry. I appreciate your teaching style and your whole vibe is super cool. Thanks Chris for inspiring me to get into magic you rock bro

Hey Chris! Great last name btw!!
Thx for this video. I’ve always wanted to be able to do card tricks, but I just sucked badly. Im a total rookie, but I’ve been learning since the pandemic started, and I have nothing to do because I have some rare immune disorders, PLUS stage 4 lymphoma, I’m taking the time to learn. All of my specialists keep calling me to say “STAY IN YOUR HOUSE!!” I have several (10-15) tricks down now. It’s enough to make my 10yr old daughter think I graduated from Hogwarts. All the best, keep the tutorials coming, and for the love of God, be safe. -D. 😎
That's really nice Darin!
bruh i'm having bad time with this move, i don't know why but when i put the selected card back and the top cards forward the bottom cards does not pop out... heeelp
sorry for bad writing, i'm italian...
Got hooked to the channel with the puzzles and now i'm watching everything!!
Tutorial Tuesday has a better ring to it...
bro this was the tutorial I had waiting for the last 1.5 year love your work!! keep it up and a HAPPY NEW YEAR
My decoy card wont come out as it should, any suggestions on what should i do?
SkViX same with me
That pach that you bend pus harder in bottom pack to push out cards
I’m having same problem, I think it’s the slickness of the cards. But I’m not sure
I'm having the same problem. HELP!! No matter how hard I push and bend the top pack and no matter the direction, the decoy card just won't come out consistently and never far enough. As with everything Chris does, he makes it look so easy!!
Osmond Tomlinson try with a different deck. Shouldn't be so hard. It worked instantly for me. Best control, I love it
I already knew this control;although, your tutorial did help a lot,and i think you deserve a lot more views and subscribers!!
Have an idea
Magic Monday you show us the card trick
Tutorial Tuesday where you show us how to do the magic trick that you did on monda
Stephen Betters NO
I like your teaching style. Very clear and easy to understand. Thanks for the tutorial!

Love it! Took a good bit of practice to get this down but well worth it. If you are struggling try stiffer cards. Much easier in my experience 👍🏼
Best Control ;D do you perform with this control?
Juulu yes he does. do you listen?
Henry Wallace Yes, but it is not angle prooft
Juulu With good crowd control, you can perform as many angle sensitive moves as you want

I like this. What I like even better is that there is ALWAYS something new to learn. Way cool control, Thanks.
4:04 "I know it looks really complicated" I just learned I think its called the ferdnase color change. Same idea. I feel smart for figuring this one out
