Sun Killer is the most perfect album opener I've ever listened to. It creates such an epic atmosphere in the way how it builds up. It really prepares you what you will face with listening to their album Eternal Blue. This band is full of surprises and never disappoints. I really hope that you will dive deeper into this band, I am sure you will not regret. Courtney, the singer of this band, also have done some incredible live one takes of some of their songs and it's just mindblowing to see how she evolved over time since uploaded the first one take. See you in the next one :)
every single one of spiritbox's song are perfection. their newer album is a lot more radio-friendly than their older material, but if you have the patience, you should totally check out the mara effect live at silverside sound. it's a 16 minute long performance of all three parts of their masterpiece, the mara effect. it showcases the band's strongest talents, in my opinion.
If you're after the more "moody/ambient" aspects of Spiritbox then "Perennial" I think you would enjoy. It's an oldie too before their debut album, if you were thinking of checking that out... but it's more of a lighter vibe than this. The music video is gorgeous too (as a lot of their videos are). Definitely won't be disappointed if you dig further into Spiritbox. 👍😁
Courtney is an absolute monster and between her and the band is really helping reshape the metal genre. For another stellar singer I have to recommend Sam Carter, Architects // Impermanence(Live at Abby Road)
Yes! More Spiritbox! Such a great reaction, and your insights were really interesting to listen to. Not to mention, sometimes when people get all "omg this song sounds like X" I can't help but think "eehh, does it though?", haha. But all your references were honestly super spot-on each time. Would love to see you check out one of their one take vocal videos - especially Circle with Me, which I think shows off the range of Courtney's dynamics really well.
Really enjoyed your reaction alot. Spiritbox is a phenomenal band and there album eternal blue is a masterpiece. Courtney is my favorite female vocalist of all time. Her voice penetrates my soul. You should check out her one take performances. They are legendary. 🤘🤤
This sounds a bit like how Cristina Scabbia sings (with the clean vocals), but Spiritbox sound nothing like Evanescence or Within Temptation. Spiiritbox are Djent when Evanescence & Within Temptation are rock, symphonic rock, symphonic metal & not Djent. There's a huge difference.
@@sharmvlog You should do "The Mara Effect" (live at SilverSide Sound)...I'd request otherwise, but I actually think you'd like Spiritbox if the rest of us could shut up...
The growling kind of Metal is a bit too strong for my taste, but I was kind of having fun with it anyway, so whoever requested it, thank you. :D BTW, when the song started, for a moment I thought Sharm was singing it -- that would have been really weird, like April Fools' Day weird. :D :D
I recommend you to listen to a French singer Laure Le Prunenec who has an original way of singing. Don't try to understand her lyrics, she created her own language to sing :) "Corpo-Mente - Ort [Live at Improve Tone Studios, 2015]" "Igorrr - Tout Petit Moineau @ Dour Festival 2014"
And after the Mara effect (has to be the live one at silverside) you should just do their new album Eternal Blue. Sun Killer is the opening track.
Wow, this one seems popular! I've added it to my list :)

Oh yeah, someone else mentioned about her live one takes, I need to go look them up!

Alrighty! Thanks for the suggestion!
Spiritbox - The Mara Effect Live at Silverside Sound gotta be next 💙💙
It's a masterpiece!
16 minutes of pure eargasm ;)
I was about to type the same performance.
Ok I'll add it to my list!

Masterpiece.

Perennial is criminally underrated.
Ooooh I'll have to check that one out!
@@dcinsc sooo true!
The riffs in Perennial are GOLD man... plus I love watching Mike play that beautiful 6 string

Ok cool, I'll add that one to my list :)

Thanks! Yeah I thoroughly enjoyed this!
If you can, I recommend "Cicle with me" one take performance by Spiritbox. About riff: Mike is "bouncy boy" ;)
Ok I'll add it to my list :)

👍
this band reminds me a little bit of "The birthday Massacre".
i just started listening to Spiritbox properly about a week or so ago .
I Like .
peace x
^_^
I was NOT expecting a "Pascal's Village from Nier:Automata" reference.
That reminds me of this band called "Spiritbox"
lol

Any "Live one-Take" performance is worthy, however:
"Circle With Me (Live One-Take)"
"The Mara Effect - Live at Silversound"
Ok added!

Oh wow, did she really? That's delightful, I love stuff like that! Thanks for the suggestion!
What a wonderful reaction Sharm! Hope you get a chance to check out the song Melancholia by Dark Sarah, I think you'll really enjoy it!
Oooooh I love Dark Sarah!
🖤🤘🏿
🖤
If you would like to react to an artist you might not have heard of, I recommend Aesthetic Perfection with the song Gods & Gold
Oooh I've not heard of them no, I'll add it to my list, thanks!
check out jinjer- pisces live in studio if you like spiritbox
Ah! I think I have that reaction already recorded...yes I do! It'll come out on this channel soon :)
kinda getting Evanescence ~ Lithium vibes
Hell yeah
Swan song - kublai khan
Ok added :)
The only mistake this band has ever made is not making this song a single.
Is it not?!
@@sharmvlog If it were a single there'd be a music video for it.
Please learn to growl! :D
lol
