- Hey everyone, this video may come as a shock to a lot of you, but I will be moving on from the gaming space as a content creator. I have future plans that I am excited about for this channel, and will explain what's happening in this video.

I am at a loss. At my age, 70, the direction you are going is not helpful to me. I just found you!!!!! Your voice was the first one I have found that I could understand, and stand to listen to. I wish you the best, because where you are headed is important. Keep going, there are others out there that need what you have to offer. I will try to get my grandson to listen to you. Just want to add that gaming does not affect anyone negatively unless you let it! So with respect that's on you, not on the games.
This is a common issue for people that are heavily indoctrinated into the more hardcore Christian sects in the US. They demonize everything really, that isn't spending time in Church activities.

That was not at all negative, sounds like Adam has a bit of an addiction to games and struggles with maintaining a balance, or at the very least has not felt it to be time well spent. Addiction is something personal that he needs to figure out for himself. Like I love eso but my family, work and health come first and I play a couple times a week for an hour or so, but some people feel compelled to play with all the free time they have, depriving themselves of sleep, social interaction and the physical activity that would make them happier and healthier.

Trully inspirational and commend you on your decision to shift your focus and priorities to help improve, inspire and mold our youth and people in general! it takes alot of courage and affirmation to make a shift that consequentially will have financial impact in your life. that in it self is a true testiment to your resolve and dedication to changing your perspectives of your entire life and livelyhood. i always say that "a skill can be taught but character requires building and nuturing" and in this day and age both virtually and physically there is a despirate need for folks that will help build and nurture..... interestingly enough this new path isnt far from your gaming life..... you can "teach" folks rotations, techniques and utilization but that wont make them great players that understand how the game actually works and how abilities have dependencies and need to be evolved to effect any success! well in any case wish you the best and i will definately be sticking around to see your evolution and watch you ultimately become the better version of yourself that folks will want to emulate. god bless and ONWARD! :)
I am sticking around I could use some extra help navigating digital content for my two little monsters and It is nice to see more and more Christian forward content in spaces. I read "How to Win Friends and influence people" a long time ago and it helped me help others in a moral and Christian way. I read it a long time ago but remember it being a honest (Christian) way of communication and betterment of self and others. The Bible is o better (of course) but that book I remember seemed to condense, at least, the communication with others. Good luck and God bless you on new direction with channel. I understand it, good luck. I think just teaching people that they can play video games and still be a gym rat, eat well, hold a full time job, and remain social. All about scheduling and priorities. Games are my only hobby. I consider gym mandatory.
11:05 Don't change up your channel, make a new channel. Changing up the content on a channel like this usually has a negative effect overall like you said. People come to a channel knowing what to expect, it's why so many people would rather go to McDonalds while traveling because they know what there going to get, and they don't know if they'll like any of the other options.
This happened because he's giving up gaming altogether. He built up an addiction and here is now.

@@KeeseGaming Yeah, Like how am I supposed to tell someone "Hey check out this ESO guide from Brah We Got This" right? He should have just made this video, just like this. But rather then telling everyone that his changing up the channel, tell them that he's not uploading to this channel anymore, that he want to do other things. And ask everyone to subscribe to a new channel of his.
Like, if you only got a few hundred subs then changing up your channel isn't likely to be so bad and can even help. But when you got thousands of subs, you've already gotten a footing out there and people know your brand.
Tlo_oly tried changing up his channel to get more views, and he almost destroyed his channel. And all he did was try to make longer videos, then tried making shorts, but the content was the same though.

Personally, I hate it when creators do this. If you are going to change the direction of your channel, you should just make a new channel. People follow channels because of the content, when said content is going to change, then your desire to continue subscribing to a channel changes. I appreciate that he is giving a heads up, but at the same time, you can still promote your new channel on your old one and people who are interested can go check you out. I feel like tactics like this, just bank on subscribers who don't clean out their subscription list often enough to pick up on the new direction.
My guess would be that keeping his gaming channel would fly in the face of his addiction to gaming.

true, but remember that when it comes to youtube ad revenue and payouts, subscriber count has nothing to do with that. your paychecks as a youtuber are based solely on your watch count for a video as well as watch time per person. so he could have a million subscribers, but if they arent watching the new content, then it isnt technically a net gain for him. not to mention that the algorithm considers how many views your videos get and weighs that against your total sub count (10% of your total subs in views on each video is the general rule of thumb ive heard youtubers aim for) so if someone has a high sub count, but a low view count per video, then the youtube algorithm considers that to be an underperforming channel and probably wont promote it to newer people as often. so him using his existing sub base really only benefits him if all of those other chips fall into place as well.
