Never threw an axe or instructed on how to, but this is pretty much the method I picked up quickly. Like you said, it's like darts. Eliminate all the variables and no need to throw your arm out. Now I am trying to open my own mobile business and trying to pick up some tips on how to teach others. Thanks!
It would seem the facility im using has really dry wood and the axes have marred and extra dull blades. Im not sure how often they tune them up. I throw a lot and im usually tight from throwing at their boards trying to make the axes stick
Great info, thank you! Question, once you reduce the movement and correct the grip how do you aim the axe? Do you use your hand or elbow and what are you looking for when aiming and where are you looking? Sorry, too much to ask?
I barely started doing this 3 days ago.. I filed in Acts a axe and maid a video of how I found it eazy to through . I think it's a better method of teaching you should check it out try it and let me know what you think ?
Bro you did a little fruity hop thing when you through it saying you only have the throwing motion, hahaha if it wasn't for your hop thing probably would hit that Target first try,
To all new axe throwers please do not throw like this, you will lose all respect. This has to be the most fruity way ive seen anyone throw. Don’t get me wrong its good for consistency but it just pains me the way he holds it and hops as he throws. You can achieve the same accuracy by gripping it like a man and taking a controlled step as you throw(or even standing still) while following everything else he said. Good luck.

You forgot to mention that dainty little bounce as you release. I take it that is needed until the beard is fully grown.

Try my methods lol . Tossing it in front of you like a dart is not the way.. especially if you have a dull blade
