I am looking forward to tomorow to watch the video. My favorite is half spin because of the hiting power , but i cant do no spin an this moment, maybe when i learned it no spin will be my favorite
I prefer no spin because of how versatile it is and how cool it looks my favorite form of no spin is SKANF I don't throw SKANF often because i don't have the right knives for it so i may be buying top dogs some time soon. :)
I enjoy no spin, but I use a Bowie knife on the post in my yard. I find knifes that have a flat handle on them perfect, it makes it harder when the handle curves or it has a flare to it.
I'm a seasined knife thrower myself. Been throwing knoves for 2 decades. And one day one will stick. Love these video's. For the info and tje dudes energy. 👍👍
Thank you. I started spin throw, little success. I saw a video of yours on no spin throws and my accuracy was immediately improved. Great way to stay motivated.
I started out half spin military with pizza boxes and tiny 50g carnival throwing knives. Then i moved up to discarded solid core wooden doors. Now I have 200g set and consistently stick from 3.5m. I recently setup three large pine logs and am having lots of fun. I'm working on no spin and consistently stick from 1.5m. I learned to throw by watching your videos from 4 or 5 years ago. Thank you.🙏
I like the no spin technique. I've been following you for almost 2 years and at first it was more complicated but once I caught how it was thrown it was easier. At the moment, I can't spin more than 4-5 meters, no matter what I do, it starts to spin.✋❤️🇷🇴
How long did it take to learn no spin? I have never known how to throw a knife and I am trying to learn no spin because it is the only throw I care about learning. I have thrown probably 100 times and have not stuck a single time. Do you have to move all over the place until you figure out what distance is right for you or do you just throw from wherever you feel like it until you get it?
I started throwing from 2 meters from the target and it took me about a month to catch how it is done. I tried to throw more slowly to stop the rotation with my index finger. I throw with power and speed I succeed. I look at a video with slow motion how much he puts his hand behind his back, the position ... and tries to copy them! goodluck!🔪✋
I teach no spin to disabled people(wheelchairs and blind). I had to work with them to find out which was better for them. They chose no spin because it was easier to adapt to their handicap. Personally I prefer no spin. I like the freedom in it.
I just started knife throwing about a week or so ago. I haven't been too good at judging how much the knife will spin when I throw it but since I saw your other video on no spin, I've come to realize that I'm much better at no spin than spin. On day 2 I was hitting 50% of my shots. I know it's not much but when you're first starting out it's very motivating.
This video helped me so much because I started out roto, but then began throwing no spin accidentally and found that I love it but I’ll still try both using these techniques. You’re awesome! Keep them coming!
HI Adam! Great video as always, many inspirating things for me 🤘 I threw my first knives when I was a child with my grandfather but it was conventional throwing with Opinels and I haven't really continued since that but I keep great memories. After seeing your videos, the last 4 days I've been training 2-3 hours a day at no spin with new knives and it's so satisfying. I managed a few throws at 5 meters, throwing with my other hand(very close), and above all I succeeded in the no reload no spin (right handed) of which you are the master for me. I know I shouldn't skip the steps, but I can't resist trying new things. Anyway, I feel so good when I'm throwing knives that I don't even think to smoke. Thank you my friend.🤙
Adam, your aim is incredible. I like to spin when I'm a "half step off"say. Well I throw harder and faster to make up the distance.usualy works for me . Thank you.
Just started a couple weeks ago. Full-spin until I can get heavier knives. No-spin is fun too. Both are cool to watch in slow motion to see what I'm doing right or wrong. Most important thing for me is making sure I square my shoulders at release.
Thank you so much for all these super interesting lessons, I wanna become like you in throwing knifes 😁 just ordered those Finn knifes this afternoon. Super your video’s, I love them!!
I warm up with mil. half spin, then I practice no spin for awhile. Then instead of going inside I keep switching between the techniques until I am hungry and I have to stop. Throwing Hornets is way more fun then I expected. I really thought my vengeance would be my daily throwers but I keep reaching for the Hornets instead. You truly changed the art of small knife throwing with this design.
I started off with a military half spin but shortly after that I converted to conventional half spin. I am much more successful with the conventional. Now 7 months into knife throwing I have decided to throw no spin and I must say no spin throwing is a very beautiful technique!
Military and instinctive half spin for now are my favorite styles. Still learning no spin but it's not great time to improve when trees are so hard and frozen (searching for vengeance knives in deep snow is so frustrating)
@@aaronvasquezmma I have end grain target aswell in my backyard but sometime I just like to jump on my bike and go to one of my spots in forest. When I lose my knife I'm using strong magnet and it works pretty well.
Mahalo for all your videos my dude. I bought some AceJet Apache blades as my first ever for throwing. I built my own target and cannot stop throwing. Funny enough, after watching you throw so much, no spin is so much easier for me that half or full spin. I'll keep at it though. Ive already put in over 1000 throws with about 600 sticks in just a week. Mahalo nui loa!
Awesome, I've been thinking about ubrupt situations and, for me it depends on how many sticky things I have to throw, and up close, no problem, no spin, but further away, and for first off impact effect, I'd go with a blade throw, half spin or just power throw for intial impact. Haha, but that's just where I am. Z
I watched a lot of your videos and practiced with a simple serrated kitchen knife for some time. Got it to stick with no spin and sometimes with spin throw. Today i bought 3 throwing knives, just gotta craft a target or buy one now. Card boards just wont cut it with real throwing knives, im damn sure!
Hi Adam, thanks for all your teachings, I like to through regular general knives, like kitchen knives or steak knives, no-spin technique, but I am not being successful, please let me know what I can do to improve, Thanks a lot Luis
Very good videos. How do you carry them so they are out of the way but have easy access? The no spin is much better. If I spin it I'm depending on luck more than skill. Thank you very much for sharing.
So a complete beginner should half-spin? Is there a knife that I can buy that is good for both half-spin and no-spin for when I want to learn no-spin in the future?
I used a variety of knives, but I needed a throwing knife that I would carry with me for the rest of my life. I was thinking about which knife to buy, and I was looking for a good product that is strong, fast, and durable. I would really appreciate it if you could recommend a knife that will be the best companion of my life. price doesn't matter
what if you want to know how to throw any knife you pick up -- not just throwing knives? A kitchen knife, for example seems to *demand* a rotation. I want to be able to pick up any pointed object and know how to throw it.
no problem Kitchen knife you can throw with any technique but only few times bcs they are going to break but in worst case scenario i would train no spin
@AdamCeladin no spin even with a kitchen knife? I would LOVE to see a demo of that! Because of the lopsided balance of something like a kitchen knife, ive always assumed that at least a single spin would be most effective. Love your videos, friend!
I’m a beginner and the full spin throwing from the handle is the most comfortable to me. I stick about 98% of my throws throwing that way. Can’t seem to get down the half spin thrown by the blade.
Tried conventional half-spin, didn’t get on with it. Military half-spin was easier, but difficult to control if the knife gets wet (wet grass!) Instinctive half-spin has been best for me. Still not got the hang of no-spin…
Did you try no-spin with a rope attached on the back? like ninja kunai style? Its very easy to stick after circling the rope and maybe can help you figure out the no-spin. It was useful for me
@@marcosyy87 I was thinking of this, it’s what made me check out these videos. I found some throwing knives and saw there’s was a hole in the back, I also lose them all the time, I figured a rope would be good for no spin throw. Ty for confirming my curiosity lol im gonna have to try it.
I wasted a lot of time not learning no spin first. I would say that should be the foundation. Now I have no spin throwing I feel I can use knife throwing skill for many applications
In D&D 5e, a dagger's maximum throwing range is 60ft. How accurate can you be at further distances? Like 30 and 60? You seem pretty close for most of these.
I try all three of them, but until the knives arrive at the mail I train with small bamboo picks, and it's not easy. No spin is my favorite, but I also enjoy other styles.
Aim, hammer grip switch to military house spin controlled by thumb…. yeah I learned nothing from this video. Just fancy terms. “Aim pull back and slide”… wtf dude. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for you that you can do this.
Hello my friend, nice to meet you, I'm from Brazil, a judô teacher and I have entered this world of throwing knifes, kunais and shurikens, also shurikens is easy and I have mastered, so the knifes is more difficult, I have no problems throwing knifes with a good weight, but I have buy some kunais, but they're Small and have little weight, much more difficult than knifes, you can make a video giving some tutorial about this time of kunai, grateful brother, hug.
I mean, answer me this: If you're gonna throw no spin anyway, why not put a string or ribbon on the knife and throw like a sling for some real power? If you've ever tried it, you'll know it's pretty easy and super fast. You just can't make the string so long that it flaps behind the knife hard enough to slow it down.
Which Technique is your Favorite Guys? Thank you all for watching and comments, See you Next Time ,))

In my case, the no-spin technique is the most comfortable. However, the main thing is to find a well balanced knife.

Get a metal detector. Making end grain targets is good too. Flatter surface than trees less flying off at angles when it would've stuck.
