Great video. I did not think French seams could be done on sleeves. Very happy to see it done and I'm going to sew my next sleeves like this. One question is why does there have to be background music with this great video? It makes it more difficult for people who are hard of hearing.

All the tutorials I find keep using an overlocker (which I don't have) or a zigzag stitch but I don't like the look of it. If not is there another way to make a clean finish with no raw edges visible?
It should be possible to do it along a curve if your fabric is light enough and it doesn't have a zipper. Another method you can use is the turn and stitch method. You can also try to use bias tape. As a beginner I've found it an useful way to save some of my projects.
