To those who are wondering why she mentions two Arabic verbs each time, the first is the past tense and the second is the present tense conjugated with "he"
In Arabic you describe infinitive form of a verb in both past and present forms of the third singular male. In English you just add "to" before the verb. In French you put "er" after the verb (for regular verbs). In German you put an "en" endings (for regular verbs). Arabic is a bit more complicated.
@@arwahsapi Hi, so when we look up a verb in an English - Arabic dictionary, will it be listed in both forms, i.e. past and present tense (for the 'he' form)? Or is it listed simply as the 3 roots? So in summary, we have to learn 2 forms of each verb (past and present), whereas in English just one (the infinitive)?
@@arwahsapi LOL... everything is a bit (or a lot) more complicated in Arabic! Ah, somewhat like in French, in Portuguese (my language), you add "ar, er, ir" at the end of a verb to show it's in the infinitive form! Thanks a lot for your explanations and comparisons!
Hey Maha i study Islamic Science and i Love u Videos about the Arabic Grammar because they help me to Unterstand the beautiful Language. Love u and best regards from Germany ♥️
Smith I'm making flashcards right now! To add to my pile; I've already got a whole bunch because I'm an ESL teacher and I'm teaching two Yemeni boys, and I decided to dust off my Arabic (I took a semester in college and spent three weeks in Jordan almost 20 years ago) and write the Arabic words for the English vocabulary they're learning. I now know lots of colors and random things like "rocket." Verbs are my big weakness though. I know how to say a lot in Arabic, but I can't converse at all because I have no vocabulary besides things about me or how to ask for what I want, or polite, everyday phrases.
Maha ma'am, I am from India. You regularly watch your videos but this is the first time I m commenting. Ma'am, you can not imagine how happy I am! I have improved my Arabic a lot. Thank you very very very much.
I am Iranian, came here to learn more verbs but I knew all :) hhhh… got more confident about my level of proficiency, Thank you for all the videos. jazaak Allah bkhyr sweetie :*
I like the way you speak and facial expression ! I hope I will speak Arabic in 6 months . Which part of speech is most important for beginner foreigner language ?
اهلا مها ... ارجوا ان تعيدي بث الدروس الإيطالية لانني استفدت كثيرا من دروسك وتعلمت بها الأساسيات اللغة الإيطالية وتعودت علي طريقة دروسك Per favore 😊 e molte grazie 😁
I liked your wonderful lesson maha, for sure you are a great teacher, it is my first time in gulfcountry (oman),so I have been learn alots about Arabic from your fantastic lessons, keep it lock maha and God bless you too
I love your videos. Truly helpful and well done. In this one, it would be easier if you took more time and slowed down the pace between tenses and verbs. Beginners get their tongues tied in knots in surprising places. Thank you.
Thanks a lot for your beautiful work. Maybe i’m wrong but i think for the verbs in past tense : بكى with ألف مقصورة حمَل with fatha on the mim عرَف with fatha on the ra
in the Arabic dictionary you have to look up the root of the verb ( or the verb in past tense) for example اجاب سأل. أكل. قرأ. كتب ذهب . وجد. ارسل قفز. ضرب دخل. خرج. سافر. أتى. نجح. مشى جلس. بكي سمع نام
video was informative so l learnt the verbs..but where is the 'next video' that has 50 sentences constructed from these 50 verbs..as mentioned near end of the video?
Hello Lady Maha, I have to say, it is funny how pronounce the words and your expression however, it is truly helpful and such a fun video. Thanks for helping me with my Arabic exam. From Malaysia
Yes, that's right. But, you have to put in mind that in Arabic we have 3 tenses only. Past, present and future, So, there aren't any "perfect or continuous" conjugations of the verbs. However, we use other forms of speech to express those tenses. I'm happy because you are learning Arabic and wish you the best of luck. Greetings from Algeria
Honey Moon incorrect, there are future tenses, just adding the seen س. for example sayajlusu (he WILL sit) sayafhamu (he WILL understand) saynanam (he WILL sleep) and perhaps this is not standard arabic, may as well clear it up
Thank you so much maha Only 48 verbs, there are two times “to pay” “to live” and “to lose”:) , I trying to figure out,the first “to live”means “to be alive”,the second one means”living, stay “ To pay is same And to lose I don’t know 🤷♀️
I know I'm late, but "to lose" the first one is like "to lose a match" or "to lose a competition/race" while the second one is like "to lose a phone/waller"
Maha, you rock... love your lessons; you are a gifted and natural teacher. I was though a bit taken aback by your interview with Al Arabiya when you said that you relate to us adult learners as if we were children... there's a difference between having a childlike enjoyment of exploring a new language and culture and being childish. I hope that you appreciate that difference and will continue to share with the knowledge that we grasp both the content and context that you as a modern Palestinian Arab woman living outside of the Arab world is reaching out to everyone in friendship and with an open heart to share your beautiful language and culture. But let there be no mistake: we understand that your underlying message is that it is personal connections, friendship and relationship of human beings and not political movements, media coverage and slogans that can bring us all to peace. There is no naivete on the part of your listeners and no one is fooling anyone- adult to adult here, right?

Güzel bir ders olmuş tebrikler
in the Arabic dictionary you have to look up the root of the verb ( or the verb in past tense) for example
اجاب سأل. أكل. قرأ. كتب ذهب . وجد. ارسل قفز. ضرب دخل. خرج. سافر. أتى. نجح. مشى جلس. بكي سمع نام
It was PERFECT ...plz make part 2...and continue with some important verbs likeقرا_کتب......و

I like this one very much. Thank you Maha.
Am I correct in assuming that left = present tense and right = past tense?
I miss you Maha
