I’m liking the ending showing you welding in real time. Gives us a better feel of the long hours, hard work and dedication it takes to complete a project like this. Big thumbs up!! 👍
Probably a good idea to drink big glass of milk before welding that ..the sickest I've ever been was welding galvanized fence pipe ...not fun ...great job and thanks for sharing with us !!!
Brent, Great video as usual. FYI: I was told working at a welding shop that welding smoke from galvanizing is really bad. There is a small Lead (Pb) content that will vaporize. Also something about Zinc Oxide too. N-95 is needed for 10X PEL (Permissible Exposure Limit). Thanks for showing us how it's done! You are the Master. ben
Hi Brent, I like the repurposing of an old gas bottle as a former, great idea and very strong. Again I am enjoying the progressive build of this machine. You demonstrate that it takes a can do attitude, that it may not be perfect but that can be rectified, that patience and no stressing are essential to this work. I love your passion it’s contagious, just like Karl and Chad. Thanks for this opportunity to follow you through each step.
The symmetry of that floor coming together is no less than art, so many of the pieces you hardly trimmed from one side to the other, the rigidity and integrity of that car is bar none
The floorboard looks a lot better than I imagined. Lots of work. But probably still took less time than the thin sheet metal would’ve with more cuts. I like it. 👊😎👍
I know you were thinking about a bench seat. Have you thought about finding one that fits and cutting the center of it out at the bottom to fit the tunnel? Just an idea. Great work as always. I love watching your progress.
There has to be a bench seat out there from a vehicle with a large transmission tunnel he could use I’m just having a hard time remembering what make & model had them.
Bit of a worry without weld through primer but I guess you'll just tar it up really good from underneath or that Raptor coat which seems to be the go. Love this build Brent. I recon one of your more epic ones considering what you started with which wasn't even a car just a bit of old scrap yard art. You are a genius Mate as I've said before. Love it. Billy J..... Queensland, Australia.
Floor replacement is one of the big areas I don't have a lot of confidence in. Watching all the floor replacement videos I can to build up the courage to replace the floor of my 47 Fleetline.
G,day mate, back again, the floor turned out good, spot on, I'm enjoying this build, I'll say, it's your best by far, because the outcome is somewhat unknown, fantastic. Thank you for making the videos, good on ya mate. Hooroo se ya later
Great tunes in this one! Looking ahead to doing rockers and floors in a Squarebody, and was considering using flux core...it clearly works just fine. Great job! One of the best channels on UA-cam for car folks!
I think I watch more than 3 or 4 hours of UA-cam channel videos every day. I can tell you that I look forward to each and every one of your videos, they sorta complete my day.. Actually I save them for last as sorta the cream of the crop. Your ability to fabricate parts and pieces from virtually anything amazes me. Love your stuff!!!.. Bob G (US Navy Vietnam Veteran), Manila, Philippines.
This was VERY interesting. Pattern makers is a dying art form and is what everybody leaves out of most videos, however they SHOULD NOT ! Floors today are all store bought complete pans and nobody BUILDS ANYTHING FROM SCRATCH! So I thank you for this one. Please continue showing what others DON"T and I will watch till the cows come home. P/S Flex welding is a total MESS ! Been there.
Everyone who does cutting and welding worries about late night shop fires . Dan from D&D often talks about waiting an hour after finishing welding before shutting down for the night.(But his shop is attached to his house). But none us us expect our shop to light up while on vacation. Several years ago we were driving back from Florida and my neighbor called and told us our tree farm in Wisconsin was on fire. Kids playing with fire with dry spring grass. That was a long drive! Same for you, I bet! Took me two years to clean up the mess. I real enjoy your content. You do in one night that takes me a week or more. But I'm 76, and still building cars. Good luck! Your new shop will have everything you wanted in your old one. Have faith!
Brent, you simplify the process of metal work, you done an awesome job! This coupe you are building, l really wish every part you have installed could talk! I think it would be really cool if you wrote down all the pieces used to make this build! Kind of reminds me of the old Johnny Cash song, he worked for a auto company, and built his vehicle one piece at a time. Haha 😄! Really enjoyed this segment. Best content and great job as usual, thanks, jim 👍
Hello Brett & Pablo you delivered on the visually quick transformation. I find it interesting that the hours of work to build the framing get so quickly forgotten once the skin or in this case the floor is in. Good work keep the build going you are making big strides now.
Looking good Brent! Thanks for showing us the process...not just the finished product of the task. This has been a pretty challenging and interesting build. Thanks for bringing us along!
Brent that floor looks as strong as a tank, a non-rusted tanked. You kick butt today, that was a got of work with that 20 gauge stuff. Great job! It was kind of funny, you were drawing your patterns on the floor and Pablo was watching about 3' away, and after a minute or so, he saw you were not going to show him any love so he gets up and takes off very fast. I thought he was throwing a tantrum. Have a great day.
I never miss an episode and I'm really not much of a car guy. I just find it super cool what you do with rusty junk. Oh, and that swampy blues you played today was a treat. Love your work. Wish I had the funds to send you an Aussie Barra motor to stick in something cool.
This is moving right along. Wont be long at all, soon will be warm enough to blast it, then the much hated bodywork.. Dont know if there is a marine parts supply in your neighbourhood, but they have all kinds of flush surface covers, for access.
Greetings my friend, floor and tunnel really looking good 👍. When I worked on the pipelines, we welded alot of Galv. metal, and were given milk to counter act the galvanize fumes. Great work, Take care and be safe. 👍
More inspiring work. Hopefully this year I can out together myself metal fab workspace with tools. Welder first and then maybe a beadroller or throatless shear.
I think that is very very good work Brent. Män what a lot of welding work and so many hours to build this. thats very fine . Good luck and all good for you and wife. Ernst👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Brent baby steps but you're floor is looking great hey. This is one build that is going to be awesome. Thanks for sharing. Take care and have a magical weekend.
Remember buying a tshirt like the one Phipps was wearing before Gas Monkey was a household name … you’ve come a long way , congratulations Richard, couldn’t happen to a nicer guy ! Cheers , Rick from Canada 🇨🇦
That was interesting. You never going to have too many vice grips. I have too many c clamps. I collect them every time I see them. Looking forward to the rest. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦🐕
I like how it started out you were going to use lighter material to make the rest and then used the thicker stuff for everything, awesome work, it looks wicked!
That floorboard metal is called zinc coated steel and will not weld easily unless the zinc is removes with grinder. It's use is in industrial and high end computer internal use for diveders and hard disc compartments. It has other uses, but I only worked at a metals company that built these. It is very corrosion resistant where it remains on the metal, it's only drawback to my knowledge is it's resistance to welding. BTW grt job with this build, I have watched from the beginning.
Excellent work Brent. This is one of the best channels on UA-cam i think you and bad Chad would work well together. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
That E coated steal your using for the floors going be last thing standing when that car hits the graveyard... you do nice on the fly fab work. it's good you have allotted CAD board to use. sure, it's relaxing to restock the supplies.
Wow, Brent, you've got excellent tunnel vision. (And that's not a bad thing.)
I was thinking that too, but Brent had the 3M vapor mask on. I bet he still felt a little woozy.
I think The round transmission tunnel look way more professional than it would being squared off.
Looks great! I could feel the judgement Pablo was sending your way!
Looking great!
What a transformation! It wasn’t so long ago you had pieces of a body and a vision. Great progress 🫡
Absolutely Beautiful. The beer box CAD works great.
You did a hell of a job on the floor 👀👍
Top tip.....
When using flux core in confined space a pedestal fan is your friend
Yea my favorite channel is on.
Way to go Brent. You're the man. I like the way this rod is coming along. You rock friend!
Awesome another video ! I wasn’t expecting another one until Friday or Saturday. Thanks Brent and Ester
I am impressed by your work Brent. :)
Sweet let's get her goin!
That's one solid, strong floor!
Brent, Great video as usual. FYI: I was told working at a welding shop that welding smoke from galvanizing is really bad. There is a small Lead (Pb) content that will vaporize. That floor came out awesome. What a great build as usual. . Great video
That thicker sheet metal is great stuff, albeit harder to work with. Thanks Brent! Cheers
The symmetry of that floor coming together is no less than art, so many of the pieces you hardly trimmed from one side to the other, the rigidity and integrity of that car is bar none
looking good, hope you hit the LS wiring in depth, looking forward to see this finished ✌
The floorboard looks a lot better than I imagined. Lots of work. But probably still took less time than the thin sheet metal would’ve with more cuts. I like it. 👊😎👍
That turned out pretty slick. Great video. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
Looking great. I'm impressed with the progress I never miss any episode of all of your builds. Always interesting content.
Hey Brent! Floor looks just right. Great job! A lot of cutting and welding. Stay safe my friend!!😀😀
Great work again Brent! You are the master at these builds. Thanks for sharing. 💯
I know you were thinking about a bench seat. Have you thought about finding one that fits and cutting the center of it out at the bottom to fit the tunnel? Just an idea. Great work as always. I love watching your progress.
I was thinking the same thing although I'm not sure it would be much better than buckets after you cut it
There has to be a bench seat out there from a vehicle with a large transmission tunnel he could use I’m just having a hard time remembering what make & model had them.
Look at the early '50s Mopar. I think they had clearance for larger tunnels on the front bench seat. Like the one in the Dodge Crusader...
Wow Brent you are always amazing at what you do. Great job
This video really "floored" me !
Looking great!!!😎👍
Thanks for sharing Brent, Puts a smile on my face every time watching . 💯👀your creativity is a real treat to see in motion. Digging it 🙂
I know right? Brent is just amazing and totally my favorite UA-camr
Floor is looking great keep up the great work car is comming along great can’t wait to see more videos on it
As usual just extraordinary. Now let's think about the interior. This thing deserves something special
Bit of a worry without weld through primer but I guess you'll just tar it up really good from underneath or that Raptor coat which seems to be the go. Love this build Brent. That and the fact that this car will never see winter it'll live most of my other cars
You see Brent I like when you play salsa man this is the music to and all Pablo’s favorite song
Floor replacement is one of the big areas I don't have a lot of confidence in. Watching all the floor replacement videos I can to build up the courage to replace the floor of my 47 Fleetline.
Great video. I'm glad you posted. Keep them coming, thanks
G,day mate, back again, the floor turned out good, spot on, I'm enjoying this build, I'll say, it's your best by far, because the outcome is somewhat unknown, fantastic. Thank you for making the videos, good on ya mate. Hooroo se ya later
You're Skills, you're know how are just sooo impressive! A whole lot intimidating LOL.
Great tunes in this one! Looking ahead to doing rockers and floors in a Squarebody, and was considering using flux core...it clearly works just fine. Great job! One of the best channels on UA-cam for car folks!
Yeah it works fine if you do a slight overlap it's really hard to do if you're trying to butt weld stuff
@@HalfassKustoms Thanks for that info!
Looks good Brent and you make it look easy
I think I watch more than 3 or 4 hours of UA-cam channel videos every day. I can tell you that I look forward to each and every one of your videos, they sorta complete my day.. I have loved the fact you use flux core on the floors not the first time I seen you do this I think it’s a great idea

Really impressed how you used that hand shear to cut out the half round cut outs for the shifter.Exellent work!
That's what they're the best for haha
@@HalfassKustoms yep
Amazing the difference a floor pan made. Thank you for sharing.

Never get tired of seeing the processes in the way you go about your work!
I have to say Brent, you are so entertaining and funny too, 😆 great journey once again, with many sparkles ...👍✔✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

The tunnel. Turn. Out. Perfect. Lots. Of. Work. But. Finished. Tunnel. Looks. Factory. Thanks
As a retired sheet metal worker of 30 years, I am quite impressed with your knowledge of the trade. Keep up the good work.
I find it all fascinating and I learn great approaches to problems I could never figure out how to handle. Thanks. The scales fall from my eyes. 😁
Your CAD skills are very impressive!
Awesome as Always... Great Update. Trans tunnel is amazing..
