It doesn't make sense to have a state/semi state govt in Delhi. Too many govt have made it chaotic and messy.

I live in the USA and I am from Delhi, Washington Dc is one of the most pathetic places to live for general public in the entire USA. Delhi would become hell for people who arent involved in government service if it becomes a full UT precisely because there would be no accountability over it. Its not like Pondicherry or Lakshwadweep or even Chandigarh. I will tell you why, while Delhi’s actual population might not reflect that its economy activity and governance load is actually at the crossroads between Haryana and UP. Its not some isolated territory like Chandigarh. Everyday people from Haryana and UP rely on governance from Delhi. Hence Delhi needs infact a full statehood. Again please dont confuse with Delhi with New Delhi.

In Delhi too people don't like AAP. It's just that they get more votes from autowalas , minority community and people who are not doing good financially. They vote AAP because of the freebies offered by them. Free bus, free water, free electricity etc. AAP in Delhi can afford this bcz most of the things in Delhi is managed by center govt ex. Modi Ji didn't ask Kejriwal to do corruption. He could have remain silent and work for ppl. His troubles are his own making, don't blame Modi Ji for it.
No matter which party anyone supports, the fact is that the national capital should not allowed to be against the ruling party at the centre, for national security reasons. Whether India is congress ruled or bjp ruled. If tomorrow AAP can come to centre, let them, but delhi should always be UT.

1. DK is right- BJP is aiming for a minimum of 362 and that should enable it to push through many more constitutional and other reforms. And this number looks plausible given the current scenario. Also, wining too many more than this number does not serve any purpose but invites lots of criticism, charges of dictatorship etc. 2. But Modi will go for Modi 4.0 as well. Mid way through Modi 3.0, we can see Modi having 3 -4 Dy PMs like Rajnath, Gadkari and Amit Shah and Modi holding only strategic role. That can glide him through 2029 till 2034. By that time, all the pending and desirable agenda items would have been ticked for Modi to retire.

The only reason for that would be the transition of power to next leader in order to build the narrative/wind/momentum around new leader after Modi 4.0 ... Probably Tho-thirds majority for being able to make certain constitutional reforms in Modi 3.0 would be the only reason they are bringing in likes of Ashok Chavan/Ajit pawar into the fold currently ... otherwise there is no reason/need of them as such ... after completing those constitutional reforms and delimitation BJP will be in a position to dominate on its own post Modi period ...

I think BJP will get about 330 +/- 10. NDA may touch 370. That’s over two third. No one will disturb Delhi status., certainly not becoz of Kejriwal or AAP. Modi came to power with a big machinery of BJP &RSS which had grown roots over 6 decades. And they had very committed, selfless strong leaders. AAP started by dumping all its strong committed people. So even if AAP revives , it will take many decades.
We do need a powerful opposition and an alternative. As of today Congress is the only alternative with 20% vote share. They need to find their own Modi . That’s what the nation needs. That’s my humble view.

The real problem is division of AP has crippled us financially. We lost our money mint. It doesn't matter which party is in power, they face the same bad choices. You see, its very very hard to attract industries to AP.. All business people look at AP and then see Chennai, Hosur, Bangalore, Krishnagri i.e. that industrial belt and don't find reason to invest in AP. And its equally hard to attract industries towards Vishakhapatnam (its too far from anywhere!). So we are literally screwed. Anyway, cheers and best wishes!

I am training to be in politics and so I joined YSRCP for experience. But I work in policy issues (agri/education) and not electoral politics.
