I’ve never seen a more violent, hard-hitting game. This was the most brutal, violent and scary football game I’ve ever seen in hindsight. It was incredible. For me, best game ever at the stadium because of the way both teams were (almost literally) willing to die. Scary stuff. Steelers Ravens rivalry was always the best. Both teams changed the game, literally.
That 4th quarter polamalu interception i thought the stadium was going to fall down. Best game i have ever attended. The good ol days of Steeler football
This game was best known for singing of National anthem by McBride. I think this was the year Joe flacco had an amazing playoff run? A so-so quarterback became highest paid QB---bittersweet
I have to disagree. Most people couldn't tell you who sing the National anthem for this game, much less Mcbride's performance being what the game is most known for. I remember watching this game live from beginning to end, and didn't even know who sung the national anthem until reading your comment. The game is most known for being the 3rd meeting of the season between butter rivals, Pittsburgh going 3-0 for the season against the Ravens, and the game being an absolute dog fight.
Also, your confusing this year (2008-09) with 2012. This was Flacco's rookie season, even if he had an amazing playoff run he wasn't getting a new contract as he was still on his rookie deal. Flacco had a great playoff run in 2012, leading the Ravens toa SB win.
One of my favorite games I remember watching with my father. Wish the NFL was still like this. Epic game.
People acting like Mahomes invented making plays like at 2:25

Yeah same here this was one of my favorite games I ever watched. Only the 1990 Redskins and Eagles body bag game.

Two Teams literally willing to kill each other to try to get to the Super Bowl, I really miss this specific era of the rivalry
This era of Steelers-Ravens football was the most fun era of football I've ever, *EVER* seen.
We all know steelers are the best NFL team

What an awesome game this was.
Ben was almost IMPOSSIBLE to take down shaking off tackles.
2:25 TD to Holmes
A direct hit from Ryan Clark is the equivalent of a Tyson punch...
Late 2000s Steelers
I miss when the Steelers had a competent offense
Maybe they can figure things out this off-season
@@ligmaalls1529 they’re gonna work heavily on their run game to be a more physical offense like the old days
What If Baltimore had made the trip to Tampa what kind of difference would there be?

STEEEEEELERS💛🖤💛🖤💛
7:02 I can't believe even then that hit was allowed. Blatant helmet to helmet hit.
Good old fashioned football. Pussy.
Haha this was before todays NFL pussyball

Worst game ever as a ravens fan 😢
Imagine being a ravens fan
Even Jim Nantz said it.. #43 sends Pittsburgh to SB 43. So scripted it's sad
