if you want, you can always change the transparency of the spells in the settings to see the enemies / traps / anything while having entire screen covered by spells
I believe each mask i put on is part of myself. Each mask is just a smaller piece mixed with the relationship I have to the person I’m talking to. While I know I’ll never show anyone my most truest self (probably), I don’t think I’m being ingenious as I am not an outlier in this regard, so to say I’m being untruthful is hypocritical. If we went deeper we could go into how and why our characters become what they are.
Yup. They're all just facets of a larger whole. We show the part that's appropriate for the situation, and we learn to do it early. My daughters at 3 and 5 know whom to lay on the cuteness and talk a little babyish with, and whom they're better off giving the best argument for getting what they want to. Like they slowly gain a collection of wands and use the right one for the room their in.
Wow, what an awesome build. I would buy this game but I am so fed up with dev's nerfing everything when youtubers manage to "break" the game! If they come out and say they won't nerf it, let me know and I'll buy the game!
6:00 One of the first things I have noticed while playing this game. I wanted to comment that as an interesting info under your every video, but I thought "he obviously noticed that and I'd be stupid to point it out for him". Yes, the slimes absorb any element you cast on them and then spit it back on you. I think that it's a nice touch, and if you think about it, almost every oponent has some "hidden passive", which is cool. They are not just "cannon fodders" or "HP sponges". These devs have actually very rich imagination and I love that!
Somebody has been reading Carl Jung recently. Yes, I do believe in different Masks/Personas. It's obvious that we all have different masks for our different roles. We act differently at work than with a loved one for example. However, it's not healthy if different Personas have too huge a personality gap between them. That means that Ego is too weak to carry them all and that the person is utterly fake. You can act differently in different situations, but you shouldn't be all over the place.
I think it’s been memed to death the whole “friend group A vs friend group B” thing but it really does depend on how you’re using that mask. Someone who is using it to fit in might be actively trying to change how they are and probably doenst consider it to be themselves, but once you’re used to that space and environment maybe it does become a part of them that activates as naturally as any other aspect in their life
29:10 Probably because maps are procedurally generated I guess. From a programming standpoint, it seems more efficient than manually creating numerous maps. The tiles exhibit randomness, and the next layers introduce additional patterns like carpets or traps or grass or whatever Nice run!
edit: i didnt realize he covered this at the end of the video, but i still want to see a attack wand based on it because of its 0 cooldown hey sifd, i realized that the energy storing globe has 0 cooldown, but only one slot, my question is, can you put a Expansion Stone (or whatever the thing is to add more slots) to add more slots and have 2 possibilities, either make a 0 cooldown attack spell or a insane mana regen build with it
The way you act and interact with different people is part of yourself. Your emotions, impressions and actions in those situations are mere "results" of you growing up and becoming the character you are. You grow up meeting a lot of different people that each have their own character and require a certain way of interacting with this character. This of course continues on in life and you use those experiences with all the people you interacted with so far to alter your actions in interaction with people in the present. Atleast thats my take on this :D
A little tip. When you open the wand box or the spells you can Press backspace to go out of the menu. That way you can change the wand you are curently on and switch the worst one. Or check the stats before you change
I don't know if anyone ever answered your question. Way back with the bouquet build where you had the pops, you asked about what was dropping water. It was the ice effect pops. Ice leaves water puddles. The only effect that leaves no puddle is the flames. And only you are able to apply flames and ice. And yes, it does tie into your question about slimes. Ice will neutralise slimes, making them water. Poison will make them poison slimes. Slowness will make them Slow Slimes. Slimes also change types if they land on puddles. A water slime landing on a poison puddles will become poison.
I look at the masks as a jigsaw puzzle, your whole identity is the puzzle and the masks are one piece of the puzzle that you change. I think it's just a part of you, maybe even a super important part of you so you can make lots of freinds.
Question of the dat answer: I think "masks" are a common occurance, both in proffesional and social circles. But in both cases its part of my own personality, sometimes i even lose track on wether or not i am actually wearing a mask around people. And sometimes the mask actually becomes my personality
As a person with adhd I have to mask in situations that's the way we were taught in school. There are some benefits, such as correcting some organization issues . but it's mainly used in coperate situations currently.
0:36 in the U.S. we call it code switching. You act/talk differently when you're at work vs when you're with your friends vs when you're with your significant other, etc. It's really obvious if you know someone who answers phones for their job lol.
You have 3 masks 1 for yourself 1 for your friends 1 for your loved ones It's just a natural part of you, however there is a scale of people one side being the people that just let those masks happen naturally and they are always themselves. The other side are people who make a mask for every single person trying their hardest to not be "themselves". But there are all types of people in between
Everyone has at least 4 faces. The mask they show the world, the mask they show their inner circle, the mask they show family, and finally the mask they keep to themselves. These are all a part of you and the more similar they are the more stable you are.
Yes, the slimes get dyed depending on your spells. And I don’t think “wearing a mask” with some people means that u are not yourself, that is what being yourself is all about, you are free to let people see what you want
for me the mask is sometimes a part of me high lighting certain aspects of my personaity and allowing me to navigate the world as myself. othertimes however that mask is definatly not me and more like a character that i put on to preform as "myself" when the only thing real about the preformance is that core princables vaguely match up to my own
I mean as an aspect of being human, mimicking your surroundings is how you survive and develop understanding, so I’d say it’s less a mask, and more the impact of your surroundings on you.
hey Sifd, meteor + rebound will make them bounce which causes full damage without extra mana cost 4 of those yellow slow passives will ensure that the act 4 boss's bullets will never hit you
Sifd: what is lag? Computer: baby dont hurt me. dont hurt me. no more Its so funny how you still dont understand how the 3x3 grid where you light the squares up puzzle works Basically when you stand on a square all squares directly touching it switch their color, so the corners will only change the 2 next to them while the middle will change 4 that are touching them
With the spellbreaker sword, i believe it's YOUR size is related to damage. There's a relic/potion that can increase your body size. I'm not 100% sure on that yet.
I allways act as charismatic as i can in front of everyone and even when i am alone. I started doing it conciously but over time it just became part of myself. It makes me feel good and makes others have a good time. Win win😁
That's a pretty interesting question! For me, i think mask is a part of myself. Sometimes you pull it out consciously and sometimes you don't. And if you think more about it, we're just actor in this world, We decide what we want to say, act, etc. So it's definitely a part of us
As an autistic person I can say I wouldn't be able to function in society at all without masking, and all that masks are in fact part of me, it's just showing parts of my personality that I know are safe to show to specific person, and the better I know a person and I know I'm safe to open up with them, the more masks I can show to them.
Okay, I just started watching you, man. I'm loving the questions of the day. They really make me think. I've always been a big people pleaser. Masks kind of became natural for me. And for a while, I did think it was well A part of me for a while there. In all honesty, I think. The masks are technically a part of me. Sometimes they're who I want to be. And sometimes they're just I just wanna make someone smile.
59:50 It looks like Navigation actually doesn't help butterflies seek targets better, it looks more like it overrides their natural target seeking ability to replace it with an objectively worse one. Without Navigation, they go straight towards valid targets without taking wide turns, but with it, they take such wide turns they expire before hitting anything.
Sifd i believe i've told you at least 3 times that slimes take on your element if you shoot them, so it's a great idea to poison slimes I haven't tested if they can get fire element yet since don't have pyro core unlocked, may check after, but ig they also have to survive debuff long enough
I had it on a few days ago, you drag a heavy ball around by a chain which just means you have really low movement speed when you're pulling it but if you're moving without pulling the chain ball you have normal speed
The best way to lengthen the run without much coding is to instead of return to camp and end run, the dev boss will open a new game+ portal with same enemy but more health.
I’d say it depends on if the mask is hurting yourself or not. Rather than calling them masks I prefer to call them filters as that’s exactly what they are to me. Depending on the who, what, and where different parts are let out while other parts are held back. All of it still being you at the end. All in all these filters are for the most part, harmless. It’s when you start layering on too many at a time that you can start to loose what originally lays underneath. Filters, or masks, aren’t just for the appearance towards others but that also work towards ourselves. It’s a double edged sword… Welp brain just melted, I’ll leave it there as my thoughts have all practically left my head and I don’t remember where I was going with this.
Devs really should add toggle on and off for unlocked spells, more game content usually means more spells. And it becomes less likely to hit the desired spells. (Maybe 100/75/50 spell max or something like that)
Hey Sifd you should try a build with that summoning wand that has a ton of slots then put a book that summons a book that summons Pups and put a ton of passives on it it would be insane because if you put books inside books each book that summons books summon 3 each and those 3 books summon 5 Pups and if u get the relic that gives u 2x more summons you get to summon 6 books that each summon 6 books giving you 36 books that summon 10 pups each which means you can summon 360 pups and if you put passives into the build then you get infinite summon madness
wearing a mask is part of my identity with the sudden mood shifts because of Bipolar. At home I wear no mask, but anywhere else, I wear a mask because I am a little socially awkward.
100% all my masks are me. People aren't just one thing, and being around different people brings out different sides of yourself. There are some people who dont act themselves around specific people, but that is an intentional choice rather than just being what they bring out of yourself.
Honestly this is how does one put it interesting as for me I have "several masks" I use. I find that my true self was "sealed away" in an attempt to protect myself. few I will consider mask when online my interactions is under one type mask when dealing with others in real life I have a different mask to use. but my favorite "mask" I would have to say is Kyoka the name I gave myself. To me Kyoka is the one I want to be one without insecurities and care of other opinions, one who can enjoy others company and not afraid to talk and possibly meet someone new, Kyoka is everything that I am not. The way that Kyoka is makes true self kind of jealous where at times wish Kyoka was actually my true self. I love Kyoka for when used it kind of relaxing cuz one can enjoy themselves better and have fun. ps my pfp is Kyoka the "mask" I'm referring to
I believe that the masks are parts of yourself that are amplified and stepped of everything the other person doesn't like. That means it's not you. But sometimes you can become your mask or even worse you use so many of them that you forget and lose the actual original personally
An interesting part of masking lies in the very nature of sociology vs. psychology. When you're learning psychology you learn a lot of interesting things, but bizarrely when you transition to learning about sociology you basically have to throw everything you learned in psychology out the window. Humans by definition behave differently as soon as you add another human into the mix. Masking is just a basic version of this phenomenon, but it _is_ an absolutely inescapable phenomenon. Your masks are as much a part of you as anything else, but of course most people consider their "true" self to be the one they are when there's nobody around. I don't really see it as one or the other, but as two sides of the same coin. Also, 11:51 SifdBlind 😅
1, i like the weird questions you did on other videos, 2, in last video you had dash and go through walls, couldnt you just clip on the side doors? the ones closed with keys, can you check that next video if the opportunity arrives?
For Todays question @Sifd I believe that my masks is a part of myself however what I think is important here is if I feel like I am genuine in those instanses. The simple answer is generally no, I don't feel genuine most of the time when I wear my masks as that usually means I am in "work mode" or "polite mode" etc etc. That said part of myself will always show when I wear a mask so to say. Sometimes a part of my individually entrusted mission as an employee allows for alot of myself to show and other times little to non of myself is allowed to show. Shortly, yes my masks is me, but no I usually don't feel very genuine when I am wearing a mask so to say. Thanks for the interresting question. 🙏 /Michel
Navigation on butterflies actually makes it worse navigation gives stuff a tracking turn radius the butterfly's automatically have a 360 they can go wherever they want so they can go straight backwards but the navigation got rid of it so they had to do a big arch
I'm autistic. My masking-self is me, just a forced version of me I don't like very much. Masking is VERY energy draining for me, and it takes something pretty important for me to do it anymore. Like my upcoming trips to Alaska or Scotland. My best friend and my parteners (I'm part of a poly triad) all know the real me, and we don't mask amongst ourselves. People watching us communicate generally have one of two reactions. Either "Y'all are so mean to each other!" when really we're acknowledging reality, or "I wish I could talk like that!" when most people would start a fight given the subject matter. We >never< fight.
as an autistic person my opinion is: masks are a part of your identity to a point you are showing them a part of you. Wearing a mask can be very exhausting and is often expected to participate in society think about your friendly waitors in the world or any service person that needs to put on a performative version of themselves. As long as you show a part of you and don't do a fake identity you will be you. The boundary is where you feel you are playing a character based on you instead of I can't talk about my nice interest or remember to vary your tone act out the emotions you feel. But this might all be partially filtered through my niche identity filter.
Just had the idea that if you had enough expansion stones and did the infinite mana books on that wand then all wand might have infinite mana. (The fourth wand)
We are the stories we tell ourselves. I feel like this all comes down to your definition of the self. There are several ways you can define "Yourself" is it what you as a means onto itself? Is it litterally your personality? Is it memories and experiences? Does the "Self" only exist through its own consent? (I.E., I hate tomatos because through my experience. Just because I eat then dosen't make it a part of me)
I think the definition of oneself is important for the question, and I think it can be part of yourself, but It’s not necessairly so, in fact it is a tare skill to be honest While keeping a mask.
I do think that "putting on a mask" is a part of myself, but not in the bad way that some people would do in order to trick others, I just do it to conform to the place I am, just in the way you do when you are "hanging out with your family on a normal day" vs "In a fancy dinner reunion with important businessmen", it all is part of what is needed for the moment, I wouldn't want to go absolutely haywire in such a thing, lol. But, as in many other times aswell, there is always a "but", since that "putting on a mask" is such a age-old thing that's done by everyone, the question that truly comes to mind is if it was always a part of what people did (naturally developed under wild behaviour) or was it simply something that came into fruition with the fancier more recent things (Middle ages i'd say is a good example for it, king and the farmers), and we just conformed to accepting it as being part of what we do and it's part of us, when it truly isn't, but, this ends up being a unecessary question since that, even if you can answer, you'd still probably feel like it's part of you no matter the answer, it's simply what you got used to in your life. And I, as a person who's slightly lost in their sanity (I have/"can force" auditorial hallucinations quite easily and some other things) and trying to lose many of the masks I deem unecessary in certain moments, I still think that some of them are simply necessary in order to have a life that can be lived politely, it is nice to not be seen as a biggot all the time, lmao. P.S: The slimes always did the thing that they change colour depending on what you shoot them with, i.e would be "Ice makes them blue", "Slow makes them yellow", "Poison makes them green"
As a person with ADHD, no, my mask isn't a part of myself, it's a behaviour I've learned to make others comfortable regardless of how uncomfortable it makes me. I've gone to therapy and...well, masks are typically seen as a very unhealthy thing to have, and that's why I'm in cognitive behaviour therapy...to stop unmasking.
I'm myself no matter the situation, basically the same personality, so I do consider the masks to be something you are not. To put on a mask is to lie. But it's not something to be avoided, it's sometimes very necessary.
QoTD: TLDR; Masks are just layers of protection, and I think that is always a great thing, but know when to wear the mask and when to take it off. So I work in an environment where if you don't put on a mask you can easily get yourself into a lot of trouble, Bank IT. If I don't wear a mask, I will inevitably rub someone the wrong way. People's Egos tend to be SUPER fragile in the Tech / Engineering world, and if you don't ease your way into giving the solution to people's problems, people feel inadequate, or dumb for not thinking about things the way you do, If you make people feel dumb often, that breeds a lot of resentment, which can bite you if you are not careful. I see it a LOT. So, even if I know the answer, I will tend to "happen to stumble on the answer" to make other techs not feel this way. That being said, it is always a good idea to have other people that you can talk to without your mask. Because talking with people without the mask on, is how you socially engineer your way into better negotiating and bargaining stances. What one sounds more like someone who can get something done; Steve from Engineering, or the Engineer Steve who is friends with the head of the Chief Technology Officer. Point is people are going to respond better to you, the more connected you are.
Thinking about your question I think having masks is good but only of it helps to make me behave but I could be stressful or hard to continue with but for me masking is part my personality because I like to act calm around calm people and act cool around people I think are cool but I really don't mask myself too much because my personality is actually a good part of the mask
Answer of the day: it would be absolutely absurd for people to act like they do around their friends and family at work or in a place of business. I don’t think you should completely fabricate your personality but sanding the edges off and keeping a lot of yourself to yourself is important to keeping professional relationships professional. If you make friends with someone at work you can give them access to the parts of yourself you don’t share at work. If you’re talking about being with different groups of friends it’s similar- sometimes you have friends who don’t like drinking or who are a bit more sensitive about ABC. It’s not fake to connect with people where they are, so long as you’re not *hiding* anything about yourself. I’m not going to tell some friends I drink and others I don’t but if my friend is in recovery then maybe don’t invite them to a bar or a party where you might get a bit more wild.
if you want, you can always change the transparency of the spells in the settings to see the enemies / traps / anything while having entire screen covered by spells
I believe each mask i put on is part of myself. Each mask is just a smaller piece mixed with the relationship I have to the person I’m talking to.

this makes a lot of sense, i agree %100
This is how I thought everyone was...

Honestly I thought about it but the game needs to be longer.
@@rekrn12345 Its a new game they are still making atleast 1 new stage have you not seen the last boss
This isnt even strong

I like how often u drop vids
edit: i didnt realize he covered this at the end of the video, but i still want to see a attack wand based on it because of its 0 cooldown
hey sifd, i realized that the energy storing globe has 0 cooldown, but only one slot, my question is, can you put a Expansion Stone (or whatever the thing is to add more slots) to add more slots and have 2 possibilities, either make a 0 cooldown attack spell or a insane mana regen build with it
ima try doing a day 1 type thing for this, because i seriously want to know about this, if it will add slots to the 1 slot wand
ps: i dont know if it allows for firing, but if it does the 0 cooldown will be pretty op, as it doesnt say that it doesnt fire at all

Btw those ones that "attract" you actually reverse your recoil.. so if you a weapon with zero recoil you won't get effected

That was a powerful build GG Sifd.
The thing with mask too real... The one near family, one near friends and one that only person of knowing how it looks is you.

Lightning dash + orbit is a fun time, even more with split abilities. Try it sometime
Sifd, if you open a spell choice or wand choice, you can press Esc to close and switch whatever wand you actually wanna swap.
You can use the lightning run spell to avoid traps most of the time btw.
With the spellbreaker sword, i believe it's YOUR size is related to damage. There's a relic/potion that can increase your body size. I'm not 100% sure on that yet.

That's a pretty interesting question!
For me, i think mask is a part of myself. Sometimes you pull it out consciously and sometimes you don't.
And if you think more about it, we're just actor in this world, We decide what we want to say, act, etc. So it's definitely a part of us
That's definitely big part of me, I manipulatate a lot, and chage personalities to match other people's energy and be liked it works a lot
As an autistic person I can say I wouldn't be able to function in society at all without masking, and all that masks are in fact part of me, it's just showing parts of my personality that I know are safe to show to specific person, and the better I know a person and I know I'm safe to open up with them, the more masks I can show to them.

could you make a rainbow shot build? e.g: homing, rainbow shot, duet, rainbow shot
Sifd i believe i've told you at least 3 times that slimes take on your element if you shoot them, so it's a great idea to poison slimes
I haven't tested if they can get fire element yet since don't have pyro core unlocked, may check after, but ig they also have to survive debuff long enough

That's my first time seeing the "locked by a chain ball" curse. I wonder what it does
I had it on a few days ago, you drag a heavy ball around by a chain which just means you have really low movement speed when you're pulling it but if you're moving without pulling the chain ball you have normal speed
@@facepalm7345 does it have a hitbox ? like something that blocks projectiles or enemies (or both) ?
@@kiryonnakira7566 no unfortunately
@@facepalm7345 rip
The best way to lengthen the run without much coding is to instead of return to camp and end run, the dev boss will open a new game+ portal with same enemy but more health.
You really should try a ghost flame build. Wether it is the main spell or a sub spells that is cast when you move or stand still ect.
It’s a double edged sword…
Welp brain just melted, I’ll leave it there as my thoughts have all practically left my head and I don’t remember where I was going with this.
16:15 😮
I think this should be in out of context video 😅😂😢
Devs really should add toggle on and off for unlocked spells, more game content usually means more spells. And it becomes less likely to hit the desired spells. (Maybe 100/75/50 spell max or something like that)
Surprised you didn't put the Mana Drain spell on the sword wand for the final boss, Sifd
Rainbow is good at proccing butterflies since it's shoots like 5 projectiles naturally
I love Kyoka for when used it kind of relaxing cuz one can enjoy themselves better and have fun.
ps my pfp is Kyoka the "mask" I'm referring to
i was waiting for a vid thank you
Love your videos
Stones and books that shoot Mana Drain in the "all wands can use mana from this wand" wand: is this the way for infinite mana?
Imagine using the energy-storing globe with mana drain projectiles: 0 cooldown + infinite mana
54:33 "what is lag?'
Maybe don't lag me no more
(parody for" baby don't hurt me" anyone? Someone should make for sure)
39:41 Bro literally had it on a silver platter and didn't realize
For Todays question @Sifd
I believe that my masks is a part of myself however what I think is important here is if I feel like I am genuine in those instanses.

Sifd you should play Risk of Rain 2, its a really fun 3d roguelite with great music, gameplay, and graphics.
You could use Books to permanently freeze enemies.
I just realized who the triangle boss is...
It's Bill Chipher. He is in another dimension
I feel its a mix of both, i have some masks that are just different parts of my personality, then i have ones that i use as a shield.
With dash leveled up version, u can reroll it into other rare leveled up spell early.
as an autistic person my opinion is: masks are a part of your identity to a point you are showing them a part of you.
(The fourth wand)
if you see a cursed chest with "-1 coin each door", take it, it gives you a lot of coins
also less vision is a "always yes" cause it's not that much of a loss of vision, you can still see quite well.
By name it sounds very interesting
Slimes will absorb any element they are hit by and become that elmental slime.
Just because I eat then dosen't make it a part of me)
I mask a lot but it can be exhausting to put on a different face, I don't feel like the mask is not me but often it's less myself than without it.
Let's go
I think the definition of oneself is important for the question, and I think it can be part of yourself, but It’s not necessairly so, in fact it is a tare skill to be honest While keeping a mask.
I think we do change who we are depending on who we are around. but anyway you look at it its still an aspect of your own personality.
Mana drain and the stones actually the best spells on the game
You should put the mana stealing spell and book on the mana sharing wand with stones and you’ll have infinite mana for all your wands
O new Sifd video...when was it uploaded? 23 Seconds Ago.....I'm early for once XD
5:55 yes you did color slimes
I use a mask with my boss, it's a self defense mechanism. It is a part of me because I don't desire to be manipulated by a narcissist.
"Another mana drain!!!"... "What?"x8 lol
The stone in the wand says that other wands use its mana, then add the book and mana drain, you should do that😅
Maybe😅
Thinking about your question
I think having masks is good but only of it helps to make me behave but I could be stressful or hard to continue with but for me masking is part my personality because I like to act calm around calm people and act cool around people I think are cool but I really don't mask myself too much because my personality is actually a good part of the mask
try split+, ghost fire+, multi-shot and brilliant fireworks - REAL slideshow
Imagine mana drain books and on-cast wand, that's R.I.P for pc right away
Incredible
I had some fun with mana drain and poison the other day, crazy speed, inf mana, poison minigun :p
How you think and act is yourself, so it is a part of you in my opinion
does sifd choose not to use shift to rearrange spells or does he not know?
