This video identifies 1965 and 1966 Mustang factory GT features. Any 1965 or 1966 Mustang must have these features or it cannot be a factory GT. www.karmustang....
I had a 1966 GT fastback. Everything described in this video is correct. Over time I worked on every aspect of my GT. I spent more hours than I can remember working on everything from the engine to the the rear suspension.
Cool Jack. I drive a 1965 GT Fastback. Will shoot a lot of content on the car soon, so feel free to subscribe to my channel so you dont miss out on any future videoes
Great video, but I disagree with the statement that the foglight switch needs to be on the dash. I have verified several Metuchen made 65 GTs with the foglight switch mounted in one of the holes under the dash.
Hi, great video, I have looked at countless videos and web pages trying to find this information. I have a 1966 coupe that I have done up, it has everything in your video except the front disc brakes and it is very frustrating as everyone I speak to says it MUST have front disc brakes to be a GT. It even had the disc brake logo on the brake pedal. The car had never been restored as far as I can tell and I have all photos to prove it has all the points in your video. My question to you is- Is it possible to have front drum brakes on a GT? I don't see why someone would've gone to all the trouble to try to make it a gt clone, as the car was not in a very good condition when I bought it. Or the only other thing I can think of, is that for some reason the disc brakes were swapped for another car? It has bugged me from day one from when I first bought the car.(the seller, never even mentioned anything about it possibly being a gt,but he wasn't a ford man, he was just going to do it up and flip it) Any input would be greatly appreciated-I can send photos to you if required.Regards Dave from Melbourne Australia
Thanks for the video. Hmm, my 08A has all of this except (at 1:00) the GT bezel "downward dish" above the steering column. It has the standard instrument cluster. Have you ever seen that before? Does the standard instrument bezel cover that dish, if it does exist? I've never removed the instrument cluster/bezel.
My Dad had a 1965 G.T ralley pack. K.Code/ 4 Speed Convertible. Red/ Black int. White top &/ stripes. Factory Air, Black Pony, Inter.. Car came factory with Black top, Stirpes ?? But I do know the Top was changed to White from Factory Black... One Bad ASS car ...
Can anybody offer a range of pricing for the 65 GT. I have an opportunity for a barn find GT in very good shape. I wanted to know what is a reasonable offer to the seller.

antalamo if you are still selling it call me I’m a collector 2068495903
All GT’s have to be an A code or K code but are all A codes GT’s? That’s what I can’t figure out
Nope, all K cars aren’t GT's as well but do have the special handling package the GT does.
Does all this apply to fastbacks also? Thanks
Yes. I had a 1966 GT fastback
