    Today I get to test drive the 2016 Ford Focus RS! There has been so much hype around this car since it came out and it's one of the best AWD Hot Hatches on the market!
    Big thanks to Champion Car Company! They always have an amazing selection of vehicles!

    Overall opinion of the RS.
    It handles so well! The steering is so solid feeling and the body roll is controlled nicely. The bucket seats help give a great driving position and look fantastic with the leather/alcantara and blue stitching and embroidery. This car has the MagnaFlow Cat-Back Exhaust which gives it a nice tone and some sweet pops! And the shifter is so easy to use!
    I like the interior layout. Easy to use Navigation screen, heated seats and steering wheel, sunroof and a back up camera.
    Thing I don't like. The boost gauge and temp gauges on the center dash are not too useful. They need to be bigger with more markings. The suspension is bumpy. While my Nismo has a harsh ride due to the stiff suspension, it feels super composed on bad roads. The RS is also a harsh ride, but feels less composed and just bumpy. Last thing, the power doesn't seem as much as I thought. I'm pretty sure my car would blow it apart :) The STI also feels much quicker. It's not slow, it just doesn't push you back in your seat. So a tune is very needed.
    Overall tho, I think its a great car that looks stunning inside and out! It's a tuner car, so mod it! A few nice upgrades and the car would be perfect. Oh, and the turning radius.... at 7:50 you will notice me pull into a 3 lane wide road. Every other Car I have filmed and brought to that road, I could make a U turn!

    Can you push it to redline..? I don't get why you say it's slow when you're not even pushing it. Shifting at 5000rpm... wtf. It's a turbo. You have to let it spool up.

      Alex Dc he cannot do that yet.its still on BREAK IN period.so the owner of that RS wont allow to pass 5 or 6rpm just to prove power in this video.if thats your brand new car,would you let somebody go REDLINE your fresh car within the break in period?if yes,you dont love your car and willing to spend more money for fixes eventhough its on the warranty,your dealership will void it when they found out its been abused early.

      Martin Umaguing I thought it was a press car. I didn't know it was someone's else car (I probably missed it) . There's no point in reviewing it that early then. Pass the break in period would have made more sense. Anyway not my channel.

      Michael Johnson That is what I have thought for two years now. I got to ride in my friends race cars that were not road legal. Those cars rode like shit an were crude inside and out.
      Even expensive exotics have a bunch of cons when you see them in person. If you want a car to sleep in, get a Lexus. If you want a car to race, it will have NHV and for good reason.

      Michael Johnson You said it so well Jeremy Clarkson couldn't put any better. I test drove an RS and I was thinking 100% the same thing.... What a hell is wrong with all that people on youtube??????? I have to agree with you this people are mostly just trying to make money. Let's see in 10, 20, 30, years from now how many of them will drive enthusiast's cars or race them or even better still making car reviews .... I think we all know the answers. Also it is super obvious ALL this people carefully exam the popular videos of the given subject and go with their opinion. The only problem with the car for me is when I was driving into direct sunshine the dash reflection was surprisingly bad on the wind shield. Guess what? ..... not a single review mentions this problem ever while it could be a problem on a race track... Driving my ST for a few more months than RS time... I hope,,,

      I've owned a 2008 sti, 2015 sti, and a 2016 rs...the RS has the worst ride quality out of all 3. I've owned about 14 cars (almost all sports cars, but about 4 datsuns) in the past 10 years and the only one with a worse ride quality was a miata on racing beat coilovers. I love my RS, but I do plan on getting different shocks or coilovers.

    Were you driving it in normal or sport? It's feels slow in normal but comes alive in sport mode. The thing you were pressing on the indicator stalks stiffens the suspension for track use, putting it sport mode you have to press the drive mode button where the gear box is.

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  7 років тому +3

      I'm sure the RS's launch control is what makes it do that. But the overall drive, it just doesn't seem to have as much power from a roll. Similar to how a GT-R will obliterate everything from 0-60, but it's not much different than normal fast cars from a roll.

I'd have the ECU checked to see if it was flashed, check with local tuners to see if that car was ever modified, and have a full leakdown + compression test. Money/time well spent if you indeed were a serious buyer and planned to keep it for the long haul. Kind of a buzzkill as much as it was hyped when new!

My megane rs 265 feels quick for its power mine is mapped 310 bhp but feels just as fast as my old bmw 135i with 380bhp. I sat in one the other day nice seats, nice body kit but nothing special other than that (until you drive it). Didn't sound that great revving it. Isn't it supposed to be quicker than the Nismo you didn't feel it felt anywhere near as quick?

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  7 років тому +1

      Made In Machines It should be a bit quicker. I'm sure with launch control and WOT, it will beat me in a line. But other than that I feel like my car puts out more power without having to actually push the engine. From what others have said, you have to literally floor it for full boost. I only did that once, but I still think my Z and an STI would smoke it.

    • @OverTheRoadRowson
      @OverTheRoadRowson 7 років тому +1

      Bros FOURR Speed not a chance mate the 370z is not even in the same performance class the STI is a slower car on both off the line and in gear acceleration we are talking about 4.5 seconds to 60 in the RS and probably high 5's in the 370Z the RS also hits 100 mph in 12 seconds again I highly doubt a 370z will be close to that. Of course throttle application gives you more power and boost it's a very adjustable car in every aspect

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  7 років тому +4

      Total Focus the Z does 0-60 under 5 seconds, and 0-100 in 11.7 sec. Using launch control I'm sure the RS would win. But other than that, any type of roll, the Z would beat it

      Adi yes, I did. First the rear drive unit failed overheating every time I went for a drive, then the head gasket went and finally the block cracked in the middle between cylinder 2/3 Ford repaired all of these under warranty but I owned it for 8 months and Ford had it back for 6 months. After legal action Ford offered to buy it back for the original value. I've always been a Ford guy and I had a mk2 RS before this it was bomb proof had it for 6 years. I've now brought a GT-R, best decision ever!

    • @adriangalambosi8648
      @adriangalambosi8648 6 років тому +1

      Well sorry what happened to you, but still do not see why it was the WORST mistake of your life. You were one of the pioneers who smoothened a road for all the other owners, so today Ford has 3 days to take care of each of this problems for the customers who has the same issues. Thank you for that. Also I'm pretty sure you drove the car pretty hard. (?) that would not be an excuse thought.... This kind of trouble can happened any high performance car in today's world. I have to admit the gasket issue is very stupid. Congrats for the GTR but please do not wright ford down just yet. Thanks for the details.
