Is there any way to mute the cab of the amp while using the DI? Or do you have to have the sound coming out of the amp in order to get sound from the DI?
I heard you have to plug something into the phone jack, can be just a converter. Don't quote me though!
Thanks for the video
Have you experienced any type of airy hiss when the RB110's DI is connected/recorded into your DAW?
Any hiss from the amp's built-in speaker?
Thank you! Nothing problematic
@@AlbertoMartinezDelRio Ok thanks. Mine is brand new, bought to mainly use as a practice amp. I connected the DI (XLR to Apollo X8P preamp) and I'm getting an airy hiss when I record it. It's pretty noticeable especially if I listen back on headphones. I get the same airy hiss coming out the amp's speaker but it's lower in volume or not as noticeable compared to the DI's audio. I could add a HPF after the fact but that takes away from the overall sound and clarity of what was recorded. I've tried different cables, different preamps, and I've disconnected the bass gtr from the amp and the DI still outputs the airy hiss.
I see... so if it is problematic, maybe something is wrong with your unit.
@@AlbertoMartinezDelRio Yes, that might be the only option. The white noise/airy hiss from the DI output seems like a lot. Using the analyzer on the Fabfilter ProQ3 the noise jumps from about -110 up to about -75 when I connect the RB-110's DI output with mogami XLR cables. Plug in the bass and it only increases to about -72.
(Apollo x8p and/or Twin X mic inputs)
Thanks again.
