In today's Thailand travel vlog we share our experience catching up with our family for the first time in almost a year, meeting our baby Lyla for the first time and sharing the perfect holiday gift, "RUANG KHAO Siam Sapphire" Thai rum.
This is Excellent ! Love the Thai Pina Colada !! What a great locally sourced celebration beverage :) Adding this to my future "must have" spirit in the house in Thailand :) Happy to everyone well and enjoying life :)
Creating memories with family when you can is so important! We also have lived away from our families for the last 36 years so we totally understand...however we embrace and cherish the time we have with our loved ones and take those memories with us when we part...all the best and Merry Christmas to you both!!...Viv
What a beautiful video. I'm the opposite, I'm the one out of the US away from my daughter's and grandchildren. We make it work, but it's very hard sometimes. Thanks for the tip on the rum. I'll pick some up for my hubby. Enjoy your time with your lovely mom. Happy holidays.
Happy Birthday Lloyd. It's nice to get the family together and enjoy the birth of Lyla. Have you tried, one of my favourites Rum and ginger beer. My wife and I, will be in Hua Hin for the month of February. This is a months trial to see if we like it and maybe stay longer next time. I lived and work in Bangkok for 5 years, 30 years ago. We might see you guys around to say hi.
Probably two sides to this where parents live overseas, family in Australia. The trick is to find a hybrid solution. Living in Hua Hin part time,say,3 to 4 months at a time. Yes ,Australian current economics has produced this situation. Loving your very own choices, congratulations for so many achievements.
When Ian bluntly said he'd got grandchildren I was heartbroken for Loyd's mom.😢 She has her granddaughter in Thailand too. Not even second thought about considering retiring in Thailand for his partner's sake.😢
Happy birthday Lloyd. In all honesty this was actually really, for me was sad to watch. I feel for your mum. Being so torn with her partner's grandchildren and her own. To me, your mum would move in a heartbeat. It's been playing on my thoughts for the last couple of days since watching this. 😥 Hopefully she will be able to visit you more often or be able to live her own dreams one day. .. I'm a big believer in following your own dreams and desires and love that you and Mandy have been able to be true to live your dreams and live the lives of living in this moment. I hope for you all your mum gets to also do what she desires to do also xx
I've got bad news for ya, I am going to guess that you have probably heard that it's all down hill after 40, turns out it's true. Enjoy the last of your 30"s. I feel your pain with the family separation part. I don't drink but I think you gave me the perfect gift idea for a couple of co-workers back in Canada when I return in April. Hope the folks enjoy Thailand.
We live in the end of 2024 and if alcohol had been invented today it would be strictly prohibited and it would never be sold with advertising on bottles. Alcohol is a solvent, no matter how few percentages there are in the bottle you are sitting and looking at, you will, for example, bathing in turpentine, diluted cellulose, kerosene and or other enlightening agents, you probably don't want to drink them either, even if they were too thin, so what's going on?

We Thai people are happy to be your friends if you want. And here in Thailand, you and your family will be as safe as at home. ❤️

Pls check the alcohol first. See if it's safe or not?!! Or if it's from Loas!!!!
