Great info. I’m in central NC. I went and fished a local lake yesterday and had a very strange but good experience. I didn’t catch a single fish on any kind of wood/cover. Not a single fish on frogs, toads, buzzbaits, walking baits etc. I ended up catching them on a large main lake gradually sloping point using the stunna 112+1. This was 1pm in the afternoon and they were crushing it. By far the best I’ve ever done on a jerkbait no matter the season.
Just started fishing a Jerkbait. Bought many different kinds. KVD, Megabass and a few cheap ones from Walmart. Working on the cadence of the Jerkbait. 103 degrees last week. This weekend 70's. I am pumped for the fall. Shawn from Indiana.
Watched this video earlier in the week & then watched you and Drew clobber em up shallow this week! This 2 man team deal is legit. A home run for MLF Prayers for your Pop a speedy recovery you da man !
Excellent video Ott! Great job on the win here in Wisconsin!! My best regards to your dad! Siting here now watching your video after fishing the first day of BASS Nation here in Wisconsin would have loved to come meat you , Andy and the rest of the crew fishing on pull out this afternoon on Green…(I’m from the Neenah area!) but said to say I was up here weighing only one fish for the first day of the tourney here in Sturgeon Bay…. Hopefully I get on them tomorrow🤞
I want everyone to know that this guy is a real stand up , down to earth gentleman. Hey Ott , shallow fishing is hot on Truman this fall , if you get time get up here and have some fun before duck season!
Looks like a Zoom Horny Toad in a watermelon color. Could be wrong. I like to pair them a keel weighted hook and pause them on surface slop. Kind of a hybrid frog/buzzbait.
Always enjoy your insights and more.... the way you work sharing our Lord and Savior into your life on the circuit. Thanks for the hints and tips!

Great video Ott. Love the buzz toad. Been looking at those JM rods.
They are good!
Your videos and information are great.
good stuff.👍
The ring on the hook also works well for flukes to keep them from bunching up after a hit that doesn’t hook up.
All of us fishermen from east tn thank you for your knowledge. An you represent all of us well. Fishing the BBT on Douglas next month any pointers
Always enjoy your videos. What's your leader length you like
Minnesota. We’ve got natural lakes. And fall turnover. Last time at this lake feeding on gill. They left the shallows. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
I’ll have to break out the toads!
As a Floridian I’m shallow all the time so it’s just a way of fishing that you don’t think about.
What kind of toad was that and size? Also who makes it? And thanks in advance. Really appreciate your video.

Buzz Bates, should work, with a wacky behind, if Missed?
I do like a smaller one right now. 1/4 oz most times
Let’s talk Douglas, you ever fished this at night? When water cools at night.
Are you adding a weight to the toad or is the best presentation weightless....
I would say weightless as the bait has weight and with braid it cast easy.
Yes weightless. For me anyway.
