Love this video idea - I wish more content creators did this. We hear all about baits, colors, rods, reels, presentations....but very little about WHERE to use stuff and how to find where.
Glad you enjoyed!
I literally used to hate fishing grass lakes until I started watching fluke master, and now the only 2 tournaments I've won have been on grass lakes💯
Awesome job on the video editing. Your son is doing a fantastic job with this new format. I've enjoyed your content since 2015 & you're still Killin' it!
Hey there! I remember watching your channel back in the day, then life happened and I had to get rid of everything. We just recently bought our first bass boat, an 88 ranger 393v and am finally back in the game. Tho I will say I have forgot EVERYTHING. So I wanted to thank you for what you do from here in Central FL. I will definitely be binge watching your content
I’ve been watching you since the very start. Keep it up man you’re a legend In my book.
Thanks man
Great food for thought for me, as a new “more serious” fisherman. I’m so glad I stumbled onto your channel. Lots of great tips! Looking forward to watching them all. New sub!
Thanks Vincent
great video dude. These videos are keeping me saying during the winter. And this crazy , busy army time that I am in right now. I can't wait to get back on the water this spring!
Thanks brother
Thanks bro! I'm not the best at big lake fishing. I usually do river fishing and that involves more of the streams and breaks in current. This was super helpful!
Any time!
great vid as always! i got myself a 2d fish finder for the kayak and im super excited to learn more about my lakes this year!
Very cool! Wait till you see the idea for future videos. You'll enjoy them.
Fantastic video Gene ! Really helpful !
Glad it was helpful!
Gene .... Ya need to do this for different times of the year. Pre span, span, summer etc,etc... Great video. For me I need more videos on where to fish not as much what to fish. I'm good at reading the water & knowing what to use.
Will do
Love the new content man. Thanks for tips fluke I give this a go next time I’m fishing a new lake .👊🏼
🤙
Your channel is very educational because you fish and teach all in one video that's great
Glad you enjoy it!

Sorry to hear that
Thanks for a great video, very helpful! Looks like you're on Lake Arbuckle...
Thanks. It’s a really good lake.
10:50 I'm not even a avid fisherman yet but looking at that perfect cast and where he was shooting for I'm like "there's no way he doesn't catch a fish right now" 😂 thank you for the tips
I've been looking for a channel with more wisdom then intelligence, I just found it 👌

Great video! What lake was this?
Good video Gene, thanks for the tips
You bet
Thanks for the tips Gene, much appreciated. I gotta try one of those evo chatterbaits is it really better than the original? I’ve never tried the jack hammer.
Yes they are
Thanks for the info man, great stuff!!!
Glad it was helpful!
What trailer were you using on the first swim? Jigg , you were talking about , thank you
ZMan Swimmerz
Thanks for a great video, and you almost said what lake you were on :)
LOL
Gene, can you share which weather apps you like using? I still haven't found an easy Wind app. Thanks!
The ones I use aren’t the best but they work. They are Storm Radar and Windfinder.
What is a fast action rod? Im new(ish) to fishing and ive never herd that before.
Good stuff Gene.
Much appreciated
I’m not going to stay where fish aren’t! Love it!
Exactly!!
What was that gold trailer?
What console bar is that Gene? (The one that have your graph and track packs on)
It’s a home made one. I made it out of a piece of DeeZee Hex Rail. They use them for overlander truck racks.
Great video nice education
Glad you liked it
New (ish) hat? Looking fresh :)
I run with several
kayak fishing in the everglades is insane
I never heard of that kind of map. Where do I get one? And what is it called ? I just need to watch the video again l😂ol
Can’t remember the lake your on 😂😂 That’s a good’n!
Man where is the red yak? As always very informative. Go Dawgs.
It’s gone dude. When you get everything for free it doesn’t matter. See how he doesn’t respond to people in the comments. He thinks he’s better then us. He’s definitely not! Not at fishing either. this is just a job for him. Remember how crabby he was on chads channel. just wanted to eat!
What did I ever do to you?
The red yak is on my barn. This new one is the PWR 129. I had a lot of input into the design so I'm excited to be using it this year. Sean is a little misinformed. Yes I don't have to pay for it but it's not free. I have to work for it and everything else I use all year long.
@@seanmyhre1305try posting your own content so we can beat you down bud. You haven't posted a single video.
By any chance what lake is this
The idea where there life, bugs bait fish birds muskrats theres fish. Ive known this tip but sadly only have caught sunfish and a chub 😢. Its been tough because water is dangerously shallow. I know because im able to walk out quiet a ways i use my knee high rain boots. The dock is out about 10 to 15 ft. When im able to walk near the dock i know water is shallow. Knowing this i finally got a 7ft rod to cast to deep water where theres eddies and pockets in the water. Also the corrent seams. Even fishing that ive had no luck. Then, i looked in depth for brush piles and grass patches to fish. Since corrent seams shaded areas where there's pockets and eddies didnt produce fish. I fish cover where theres grass and brush and only caught sunfish 🙄
But I hate the weather man. He’s a liar like a politician and gets paid for it. Love the videos!
I never listen to the weatherman either. I just keep an eye on the weather apps that I have.
Only profession you can get paid six figures and be wrong 99% of the time!
🔥
Go dawgs
Did you remember what lake you are on, brother?
Yep but was asked to keep it a secret.
@@Flukemaster just as I figured LOL
Have you quit fishing from a boat?
I love the challenge of fishing out of a kayak. I’d like to get back in a boat but I sold mine to a buddy who needed it and I can’t afford another one. Plus kayaking is keeping the lights on.
I think its funny that people wine about not have this
.. not have that..where there is will there is a way... got to be willing have the sweat equity involved in getting what you want
💯
Put me out there, and I'll show you how to never get bit....
You kept saying water temperature but didn’t explain what temperature you’re looking for and why…
That all changes depending on the time of year.
I liked you because you weren’t cringey. you’ve sold out for UA-cam. sad
Unfortunately if I don't keep up with the algorithms I will no longer be able to do UA-cam. I have to appeal to a broad audience.
@@Flukemaster no idea what he's talking about.. keep the content coming and keep feeding the family.. fu*** him and the high horse he rode on
.. I might get that pwr as well to support the company that supports creators I respect
@@Flukemaster did you say Broads?😂
Oh look... This channel doesn't have any content. Lot of knowledge you have to share bud?
Too bad much of your information, move around, find certain areas (which may be mikes from accessible launch areas), are not conducive to human powered kayaks. Cover a lot of water is not helping to someone paddling. You may as well be back on your bass boat for this video. How about where to find them when you are human powered?
I did the same thing when I paddled. Many people forget the years I paddled all over the place. There were days I paddled several miles covering water so don't give me that excuse. 10 miles in a day was common. Then my shoulders prevented me from doing it anymore and injuries from my time in the Army keeps me from peddling so I got a motor. If you consider paddling a handicap then maybe you should get a motor
.
When you human powered, you don't have the range, which is your point. So, only option is to try all your baits in the best spot u can reach and hit all the levels of the water column. Not much more you can do without power.
You can do all the research in the days prior to put yourself on a good spot no matter what you fish out of.
Find smaller water
When he says cover water it don’t necessarily mean the whole lake cover water as much as you can/want paddle there’s times I’ll paddle till my arms fall off and others I’m barely past the ramp do what fits you
I’ve been watching you since the very start. Keep it up man you’re a legend In my book.
I appreciate that!
