Thanks for verifying there are large lines of guppy. I found some random donations of German HB Reds at my LFS and snagged the 5 females and 1 male. These are huge at just under 3 inches for the females and 2 inch male. I, too, gave them a 55 gal and their fry are about two months now. Thanks for the DNA info, it really does help us out.

Hello I hope you're well,what a super tank and I agree with you,a tank with a guppy shoal is far more appealing to me than a tank with an arowana though I understand why someone might want one cheers now
Agree. I know folks that do the single Arowana or Flowerhorn... etc. Different strokes for different folks.

They should cap that gravel with three inches of sand and put root tabs throughout the tank about six to eight inches apart and put alot of more real plants in there! Gravel doesn't keep the organisms in the substrate, only sand does!
That would be a nice touch. My brother-in-law probably won't get into aquascaping though. Different goals. Appreciate your comments/suggestions though. Maybe one day.

I just saw the video I would get rid of all those fake plants and cap the gravel with 3 inches of sand. Also, put root tabs throughout the substrate, then load it with real hardy plants, with some fast growing plants as well ! The rule of thumb is that you always should have more live plants then fish to balance your ecosystem!
