Cost of Living in Taipei City, Taiwan

- Here's the monthly breakdown for living in Taipei City: About 450usd rent (small single apt., washing machine, balcony, security), 20usd for unlimited 4G cell phone, 50usd for toiletries (toothpaste, hair stuff, etc), 40usd travel via MRT, bus, and anywhere between 300-400usd for food that's decent... so, I would say about $1200usd (+/-) for everything. Now, that's not including extras such as drinking, party, etc. The tax is cheap in Taiwan (7-20%), so you be the judge. If you have a basic teaching job... 15hrs/week covers the basics...

Welcome to Taiwan!
thanks!
Nice informative video man 👍Definitely beats the cost of living in Toronto, Canada. You work to die back home that's for sure.
tks man ... been checking out your vids as well... I will start commenting soon

Excellent Info! Thank U for the update!
No problem...if you have any more specific questions... Feel free... that was sort of off the top of my head sort of thing...
Appreciate the direct honest info, straight to the point, no bs. and also in loonies eh!
should have also included costs in beers for comedic relief mow that I come to think of it
Also no tipping at restaurants 👍
Hello. Question. Are you allowed to vape? I am coming there and hearing conflicting stories. I figure you are the best source. Thanks.
not sure if you can bring it in.. but I see alot of people doing it..... no one really cares about smoking too much here (or vape) ... its everywhere
@@LedZippo99 thanks I am coming there Monday for work and wasnt sure. So I really do appreciate you expeditious reply. 👍🏾
Wait the food’s pretty expensive
I guess you could cut the food costs in half like maybe 10 or 15 dollars a day but... I like to eat well..
❤ 🇹🇼
tks
I live on 500 dollars a month. Stop splurging so much.
I'm guessing you have to cut a few corners... I'm talking from the like 'decent apartment, unshared ..not just a basic shared one ...also estimating on the higher side
@@LedZippo99 You even said it in the video, if you want to eat well. I think cost of living still destroys cost of living in Canada and the US. It's quite similar to the cost of living in Brazil.
