Just got back, we spent our 10th anniversary there. I never thought anything could come close to how unique Japan is for me. I’m fricking in love. It was magical, hassle free, convenient, and we had the time of our lives. The small towns outside Taipei were everything I dreamed about. There are a few crowds but nothing like korea/japan/Singapore. I think it’s early but it’s starting to pick up as a hot destination. Best night markets in the world? 🤔 yeah I had a few too many ice cream burritos 😂
@@YellowProductions almost identical in every aspect, even breakfast with small differences. Both amazing views. King Deluxe rooms at both. I would say Ginza (MGH premier) felt a bit bigger.
Really great and informative video Chris. I’ll be sure to refer back to this the next time I plan a trip to Taiwan 🇹🇼 it’s been a really long time since I last traveled there. The traveling princess was adorable. A really great co-host ☺️
My whole family is going back in a month and a half. That's exactly where we are staying. Non stop eating, and you don't eat the same thing twice because there are SO many choices. Listen to this, the best way to minimize jetlag, keep eating!! LOL
Wonderful. Taipei looks like an exciting and vibrant city. It looks like there was enough for The Princess to enjoy herself especially the delicious treats. The food looked tasty and I hope OC Girl also enjoyed herself.
I realized you go to much nicer restaurants now that you are traveling with your family, which I appreciate. Even though many of these restaurants are expensive it's important to let your toddler feel comfortable and relax and also eat healthier food instead of a lot of street food while traveling.
I originally found your channel for information on Taipei/Taiwan and your videos are so awesome. So clear and concise and I feel a lot less anxious about going because I know so much more. But now I'm actually continuing watching because your daughter and interactions with the world are so lovely. Thanks for the really wholesome and helpful content.
Hi, I'm Maggie from Taipei, Taiwan. I've been on your live broadcast before. Happy to see you have this time to visit my country. In fact, there are many more interesting places in Taiwan. Hope you will a great time with the family and look forward to your next visit.
Thanks so much for your great videos! They are all so helpful, informative and fun at the same time. Must be a lot of work to put them together in such awesome quality. I have watched all your Taiwan videos, and they got me even more excited about my visit there in a couple weeks. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Great and relaxing trip to Taiwan. Hope that one day Taiwan will resume the issuance of individual travel visas to China Mainland citizens. Taiwan is undoubtedly a region on my travel list.
31:46 love taiwan, but this was one of the reasons we moved from taiwan to San Diego: the playgrounds (and some parks) are super crowded on the weekends, made me feel claustrophobic even.
The scallion pancake 蔥油餅 is indeed the inspiration for the pizza. The story goes that Marco Polo had returned from Asia and he was in Venice and tried to explain to a chef how to make scallion pancakes. He couldn't quite make it but the pizza was born. Also, the idea of pasta noodles came from Asia to what is now Italy. The Chinese word for noodle is "mian tiao" 麵條 and the word for pasta in Chinese is 義大利麵 literally "Italy noodles".
Just finished watching and as always made notes ...just wondering what street is the industrial market ? Coz I'm definitely going there next time I go to taipei...spunky princess is growing up so fast it won't be long before she comes up with her own blog...more power
Only children who feel safe will be able to sleep outside the comfort of bed. Great job. The only thing missing from your life right now... is a cute meow. 😼😼
Hi. I like your videos. Can you include the names of the restaurants and eateries you patronised? I am visiting Taipei next month and would like to go to some of these restaurants.

Chris I am curious. Do you ever hang out with your wife's friends or family? It appears you both live pretty separate lives at times. Is this a cultural thing?
All the time. Just most of them don't love being on camera. So that's why they don't show up in the vlogs. We definitely had some family and friend meetups during these 5 days. Very good info! Still very touristy the American way=focusing on filming yourself, a lot of talking(!), kind or "ego"? No worries, probably just a cultural thing. Keep up the good work!
Thanks. I think :). Filming myself is the style of a "vlog" -- you can stay tuned for the many walking tours I have coming up for Taipei that you don't see my face at all 😉
Why still wearing masks? Because 1. the pandemic isn't over yet at the other side of the Straits and there are many people travelling back and forth. 2. Because of reason 1., people who has elderlies and young children at home choose to be more cautions.

Japan ruled Taiwan for 70 years, so there is a lot of Japanese influence. The very elderly Taiwanese can speak Japanese.
