Just got back, we spent our 10th anniversary there.
I never thought anything could come close to how unique Japan is for me. I’m fricking in love. It was magical, hassle free, convenient, and we had the time of our lives.
The small towns outside Taipei were everything I dreamed about. There are a few crowds but nothing like korea/japan/Singapore. I think it’s early but it’s starting to pick up as a hot destination.
Best night markets in the world? 🤔 yeah I had a few too many ice cream burritos 😂
PS we stayed in the same hotel 😂 I stayed in the one in Ginza (Tokyo) and loved it so it was an easy choice.
Mmm. Ice cream burritos.. aaaahhh
Neat! How does the Taipei one compare to the Ginza one?
@@YellowProductions almost identical in every aspect, even breakfast with small differences. Both amazing views. King Deluxe rooms at both. I would say Ginza (MGH premier) felt a bit bigger.
I really enjoyed learning about Taipei and great things to see and do. Plus I really appreciated that you condensed your stay into one full length vlog. It gave me a better sense of the ebb and flow to your daily exploration.
Top notch Asian series thus far, Chris!💛👏🏾
Thanks! And glad you liked the one, extra long vlog!
Will add this country to my bucket list. You piqued my interest in this video.
You won’t regret. Wife had to convince me to go, I wasn’t sure about visiting yet another Asian country. now it’s in my top 5 destinations. 😅
Sweet Keith! 😉
@@YellowProductions ❤❤❤
Been here 7x
Taipei Zoo is actaully the biggest zoo in Asia, and was rated as the 10th zoo in the world.
I love your little adorable princess! She is definitely a plus to your wonderful vlogs!
Aww. Thank you so much!
Really great and informative video Chris. I’ll be sure to refer back to this the next time I plan a trip to Taiwan 🇹🇼 it’s been a really long time since I last traveled there. The traveling princess was adorable. A really great co-host ☺️
Awww
Now this looks like a great time. I am all in on this
It sure was Wutaii 😀
Great video and your daughter is way too cute 🥺 what a fun filled daddy daughter trip
Thanks cheerios!
This was a great video vlog. Always wanted to visit Taipei!
-- James
Thanks James!
Wonderful. Taipei looks like an exciting and vibrant city. It looks like there was enough for The Princess to enjoy herself especially the delicious treats. The food looked tasty and I hope OC Girl also enjoyed herself.
Thanks Alex! Yes. All 3 of us enjoyed ourselves! 😉
I originally found your channel for information on Taipei/Taiwan and your videos are so awesome. So clear and concise and I feel a lot less anxious about going because I know so much more. But now I'm actually continuing watching because your daughter and interactions with the world are so lovely. Thanks for the really wholesome and helpful content.
Awww. Thanks so much!
I realized you go to much nicer restaurants now that you are traveling with your family, which I appreciate. Even though many of these restaurants are expensive it's important to let your toddler feel comfortable and relax and also eat healthier food instead of a lot of street food while traveling.
Indeed Sunny. We need a table, and a clean toilet, etc 😀
Great to see you travelling again! Your vlogs are always helpful in my travels, keep up the great work!
Thanks Jensen! It's great to be traveling again! 😉
The food looks incredible over there! I really need to visit Taipei one of these days as I'm sure I will enjoy it!
You definitely will Scott! Just don't order as many potstickers as I did! 😀
My whole family is going back in a month and a half. That's exactly where we are staying. Non stop eating, and you don't eat the same thing twice because there are SO many choices. Listen to this, the best way to minimize jetlag, keep eating!! LOL
Taipei is just a street buffet 😀
Amazing, will visit these places too
Hi, I'm Maggie from Taipei, Taiwan. I've been on your live broadcast before. Happy to see you have this time to visit my country. In fact, there are many more interesting places in Taiwan. Hope you will a great time with the family and look forward to your next visit.
Thanks Maggie!
Taiwan is a fantastic country to visit and don’t forget about the food there!
Mmmmm
Happy Fathers Day!! Loved seeing Princess and you together. Great video 👍🏾
Thanks so much
I lived in Taichung and came toTaipei often. This video makes me very nostalgic!
Nice!
Great🎉
This was so fun! Love this style of video, thanks for bringing us along! The princess is so cute too, so spunky!
Thank you so much!!
She's growing up soon fast!!! 🤗 Thanks for another awesome video Chris!!! 😊
Thanks Tyra!
Unbelievable that little princess sleeps right through that street construction. What a little doll. What an interesting looking country.
Yeah. When she's out. She's really out!
Thank you for your great videos as usual. :) 謝謝!再見!
Love your travel videos all the tips and recommendations. Your daughter is so cute and well behaved.
Thank you so much!
Very great video ❤
Thank you 🤗
Hi. I like your videos. Can you include the names of the restaurants and eateries you patronised? I am visiting Taipei next month and would like to go to some of these restaurants.
the audio clarity is so good esp when your outside!!! so funny seeing spunky princess talk now....shes growing up so fast
Thanks Justin!
Thanks so much for your great videos! They are all so helpful, informative and fun at the same time. Must be a lot of work to put them together in such awesome quality. I have watched all your Taiwan videos, and they got me even more excited about my visit there in a couple weeks. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Glad you like them! Thanks so much!
researching some places to visit for 2 weeks in taiwain...u went to some unique interesting looking places. will check them out thanks!
Taiwan is a beautiful country!
It sure is!
Excellent video! Hoping my wife and I will be going in April 2024. Thanks for the very helpful tips.
Awesome! Enjoy Taipei!
Only children who feel safe will be able to sleep outside the comfort of bed. Great job.
The only thing missing from your life right now... is a cute meow. 😼😼
Princess is so cute 😊
I just watched your video about Zion national Park, then this video popped up! Your videos are great!
Neat!
Hahaha, dude that is a big fricken plate of pod stickers. Looks so good though. One day I will get to Taipei. Cheers!
Any time!
Awesome job chris
Thanks Adam!
Cool you go to some places where the locals usually go too.
Can you drop the name of the industrial store with the dry mushrooms on day 3, please 🙏
your daughter is soooo cute!!! hope you had a joyful trip in taiwan
We sure did!
Thank you Michael Rappaport.
welcome to taiwan😃
Thanks! 😃
The scallion pancake 蔥油餅 is indeed the inspiration for the pizza. The story goes that Marco Polo had returned from Asia and he was in Venice and tried to explain to a chef how to make scallion pancakes. He couldn't quite make it but the pizza was born. Also, the idea of pasta noodles came from Asia to what is now Italy. The Chinese word for noodle is "mian tiao" 麵條 and the word for pasta in Chinese is 義大利麵 literally "Italy noodles".
❤❤
Princess is the best part of your video.
Awww
nice food review! btw, she's growing up so fast
Thanks virtual tour!
Welcome to Taiwan! I lived in Cali for over a decade but moved back here. Def a great city but I still prefer the Cali weather tho
Thanks Josh!
Every father calls his daughter a princess 👸
you should Din Tai Dong, Dumpling, each foreignr will not forget to try.
I've been to Din Tai Fung many times before!
I'm from Taipei, Taiwan. I have visited all tourists spots this video introduced. I don't like night market at all. It's crowed, dirty, noisy. I prefer eating food in the restaurants.
I also recommend Taipei National Palace Museum , Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
They have a lot of Exhibits.
Thanks for the tips :)
I wear a mask because it makes me look more handsome, preventing viruses is additional
Your "Princess" is adorable! You should pay her a salary and deduct it as a business expense. She definitely adds to the content.
Awww 😀
11:30 - that's not Taipei 101, that's the much prettier 微風南山 Breeze Nan Shan one block away.
I missed you by like 2 days; my Taiwan trip started on the 7th
31:46 love taiwan, but this was one of the reasons we moved from taiwan to San Diego: the playgrounds (and some parks) are super crowded on the weekends, made me feel claustrophobic even.
Yeah. I was surprised at how crowded the parks and playgrounds were! I've never seen so many kids on a playground!
Your Chinese pronunciation is good. I spent about four months in Taipei studying Chinese.
Thanks Martin!
Just finished watching and as always made notes ...just wondering what street is the industrial market ? Coz I'm definitely going there next time I go to taipei...spunky princess is growing up so fast it won't be long before she comes up with her own blog...more power
Awesome Mt. Let me know the timestamp of the spot so I give you the right one
It's 21:54
Oops it's more like 21:54
Its on Dihua Street -- near the intersection of Liangzhou street
Thank you xiexie
Wellcome to Taiwan
Ha ha,My wife said that just takes only 1 minute to get home from the MRT station, but I always take 3-5 minutes every time
Slow poke! 😉
When you guys walked by the stiny tofu earlier, you should've asked your daughter, "did you make a stinky in your diaper?" heehee. jk :)
Hah
How is the mask topic nowadays? We fly there end of November. How about public transport? Thanks for your experiences 😊
There is a famous cell phone company called 大哥大 meaning "Big Brother". I am not sure if they were making a reference to the Big Brother in the book 1984. It is an interesting point of view.
That colorful bag is "Taiwan LV".
Love it!
April 1st to 5th is a consecutive holidays, because of the Children's Day and Tomb-Sweeping Day.
And it was busy! 😉
Where did you eat the shaved ice with taro please ?
Sorry I didn't take better note of the name!
No worries. I'll try to find it. Was it near the dumpling place? Just curious. Thank you
Are you not using a stroller on your 1:1 date? It looks like a lot of stairs would make stroller inconvenient
Yeah. No stroller.. too hard to take on the MRT. So she would just ride my shoulders instead
樂華夜市真的進步很多
值得介紹
缺點是機車會在人群中亂鑽⋯⋯
Do you do the voice over narration for the baby Tik Tok? Lol
The cat bus is from the Totoro movie
Sure is!
Hi Chris, is room for 4 persons, cost?
Really depends on the hotel. Some hotels charge more per each additional person.
7-11 in local Taiwanese Mandarin is 小七, literally "little seven".
Welcome to Taiwan. Where are you from?
Thanks :). I'm from California
I am not finding inexpensive places with bath to stay in Taiwan..
Chris I am curious. Do you ever hang out with your wife's friends or family? It appears you both live pretty separate lives at times. Is this a cultural thing?
All the time. Just most of them don't love being on camera. So that's why they don't show up in the vlogs. We definitely had some family and friend meetups during these 5 days. They just didn't get recorded 😉. If you want to see a rare video in this category. Here's one: ua-cam.com/video/aV8WqeTYBok/v-deo.html
2:36 No, you don't need a mask in public transportation now, there are on 8 other places still need to wear mask, such as medical institutions and ambulances.
When I recorded this vlog you did ;)
@@YellowProductions Oh sorry, I didn't notice that
Don Quijote...now that stupid song is in my head!
Hah. Sorry
@@YellowProductions🎵 Don Don Don Don Donki....🎶
:)
Breeze is 微風 literally "tiny wind". :)
Japan ruled Taiwan for 70 years, so there is a lot of Japanese influence. The very elderly Taiwanese can speak Japanese.
50 years not 70years😂
christian horner?
'promosm'
Very good info! Still very touristy the American way=focusing on filming yourself, a lot of talking(!), kind or "ego"? No worries, probably just a cultural thing. Keep up the good work!
Thanks. I think :). Filming myself is the style of a "vlog" -- you can stay tuned for the many walking tours I have coming up for Taipei that you don't see my face at all 😉
It’s vlog. Of course it’s about themselves.
Why still wearing masks? Because 1. the pandemic isn't over yet at the other side of the Straits and there are many people travelling back and forth. 2. Because of reason 1., people who has elderlies and young children at home choose to be more cautions.
Is bad for Ang Mo to go Taiwan. Most of the Taiwanese can't understand English or know what you talking about.
I was able to manage just fine 😀

Nice part of China
Nice part of Republic of China and it's nice because it's not run by CCP.
@@mariposabay4006 ROC says Taiwan is a part of China halfwit but that one China is the ROC and not the PRC. The ROC and it’s constitution claims mainland China.
