I am a private driver for hire. That means I often am driving late, sometimes on no notice. I made some ginseng "hard candies" that I keep in my bag and use as needed.

@girlsnglasses how did you set yourself up to be a private driver something like insurance and getting business/orders? I’m assuming you’re a female based on your name. Do you work with companies or private … curious if I can do what you do to make money for my dog rescue. Cheers

I work for a company that takes care of all those details.
You could probably Google private driving companies for your area.

Thank you I take it from the mountains here in USA my grandfather who was a preacher would carry a root in his pocket and take a bite of it every day
He was so healthy of course God blessed his health but he lived to the age of 104 and was active until his death which I believe was due to a surgery on his stomach a week before he died I was only 15 when he passed to rest that was in 1977 his son died in 2017 at the age of 108 he too took ginseng from the his and took it the same way neither of them had any heart or diabetes problems as far as I know
Granddaddy was a laying on of hands healer blessed by Jesus to heal people
He also used herbal plants on us for sprains broken bones colds and other things I feel that the Lord has been directing me to plant medicine for years I have had more success with healing my self than with the prescription medicines that I use to take or instance for around 10 years. My legs would swell for the last three years. I don’t have no legs swelling, no more. It’s gone and I only take herbs when I have a symptom it’s just been so wonderful experience. I’ve had with healing herbs and I wanna stress healing herbs. Praise God.

I am fascinated by the subject and your knowledge and ease.

Ah! Good to know. I've been taking the American ginseng as it affects me just as you've described, including sustained energy throughout the day and better sleep. I found the panax ginseng to be too stimulating and lumped the siberian ginseng in under "asian ginseng and therefore too stimulating" in my mind. Thanks for the explanations and setting me straight. I will try the the Siberian too.

Thank you for clarifying this topic. I take 100 mg. of Korean Panax Ginseng daily. I used to take daily Adrenal support pill daily that had Ginseng in it, this specific Adrenal support combo is no longer available. I take it for Adrenal support, Hormonal balance and resilience.

I use Siberian Ginseng. Im also using up a batch of my own that I made from fresh American Ginseng roots. The American was extracted using high proof vodka. Now, when I hit the Flea Market at 6am, rumor is I have a drinking problem, lol. Best time to take it is the AM and both actually all 3 do help with sleep but do not take at night.

Panax ginseng is more bioavailable and absorbs better.
My biggest question is why is the Latin name more oriented to the berries or fruits of the root is what's used in medicine or herbal remedies? Are the berries even edible or how are they used?

Several years ago, I ordered American ginseng seeds. It cost about $20 for a packet (if I remember correctly), but for $60, you could get a quarter of a pound of seeds. I decided to get the better deal and bought a quarter pound.
Do you have any idea how many ginseng seeds are in a quarter pound?? I was planting them in the little peat things that swell up when you get them wet. I had to buy more, and that wasn’t enough. I think I put the rest of the seeds in some potting soil.
After all that, only a couple plants survived and last time I checked, they weren’t flourishing. They are down in the woods below my spring.
Ah, well…. buying large quantities of seeds to get a better deal is not always a good choice. :)
