+TheZombaslaya That's actually a programmed feature -- on my ridealong, I passed an electronic sign going about 85. I asked why it didn't activate and the officer stated that they're designed to shut off past a certain speed to discourage abuse by people wanting to drag race / catch a "high score" indicated by the sign.
The rush of adrenaline/heart racing when you are going at these speeds is hard to describe. ITS ADDICTING! After my first ride along I felt the need to go again! :) lol! Crazy right? I did! Applied for ride alongs in our other two districts. Only went code three once on my second ride along but not my third. Third one was a bit quite. Good for the citizens not for the adrenaline junky. :) lol!
volunteer firefighter here. looking into installing my lights and sirens . wanted to know of anyone knew the type of siren that this officer is equipped with
Yeah - looks possibly a deliberate attempt by the Monte Carlo driver to slow them up, to me. What's up with this? I guess one way to give the finger to law enforcement without getting in any trouble.
I always wondered how the tires are able to withstand those high speed runs with any of them blowing, but I guess that they must use some special tires that are almost like racing tires that can withstand high speeds, actually looked one time and noticed that alot of them use what are called Goodyear Eagle Ultra-Grips, and these really must be sticky tires..........Imagine doing this kind of speed for almost 100 Miles straight, I had one not too long back where they actually averaged 100 miles per hour for almost 100 miles, now that must have been a major rush.......
+Andrew Silva you don't really need any special tires. I'm from Germany, maybe you heard of our highways (at least 2/3rds of them) don't have any speed limit. My normal cruising speed on the highway is at 137 mph. The top speed I am going is 160 mph. I don't have any special tires on my car, and in contrast to such a relatively short code 3 run, I drive that speed for several hours, going across the country
+Robdizzle2010 taking a guess tthose tires you are talking about here, must have extra tred on them compared to regular tires that probaly give you the extra grip, right
Yes sir! They also have less of a chance of blowing out. The link below is just an example of pursuit rated tires. www.firestonecompleteautocare.com/tirecatalog/Firestone/FirehawkGTPursuit/
great video, but I have one question: what speed were you doing on the highway? For being a car-based unit, it doesn't really seem fast to me. To be honest, I'm used to drive at a speed of 137 mph when going to work / heading home with my private car (not driving code 3), and the fastest blood and organ transport car at my EMS station is capable in doing 162 mph...
Elite199 that's what I thought, I gessed sth like 100 to 110 - the same speed we are doing with van-based ambulances (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with ambulance body).
+samsquanch1996 It's in Tehama County. If you pause as they're passing some of the road signs it says Tehama. There's no interstates here in Sonoma County, and there would be more vineyards instead of orchards.
Guessing we were in a Crown Vic here, and will admit, still for being a Older Model that has been around which seems like almost Forever for police departments, this car really had the Get up and go and that is why even today, they are still being SLOWLY phazed out of all of the departments, still a number ofd them are still hanging around, they may never equal up to what the New Chargers and possibly the NEwest Dodge Durango have under the hood in the way of Horsepower, but these came REALLY CLOSE...but hate to know that its almost the End of a Era for the Crown Victorias after all of these years.....
Why is he running his siren on the freeway???? It's already been proven that at 60 miles an hour or more you out running your siren until you right next to another car.
+Chuck Humphrey why? because there is too many dumb fucks out there and if someone collides with the patrol car they can say "Oh, We ran code, so it wasent our fault for speeding" even though it may not be their fault in the first place, its a good way to cover your ass from getting in troble.
Chun Lee You have to understand the amount of wind noise a car suffers at highway speeds, especially older cars, plus the possibility that the driver had a radio playing. The driver had to pass a truck in order to yield, anyway.
Very nice V8 note, lovin it. Mhhh more please! =D
would like to see some more code 3 runs
will try to go on some more ride alongs in the near future, stay tuned!
sweet sounds good
he puts out one every year so stay tuned for 2017!!! lol
lol sorry been busy with work. will try to ride with my friend in a few weeks
Sounds like a Whelen cencom sapphire siren, nice.
Crown Victoria for life!
6:11.... going so fast the speed sign doesn't even turn on

I was about to shit my pants had this guy been the first unit in at 9 minutes.
volunteer firefighter here. looking into installing my lights and sirens . wanted to know of anyone knew the type of siren that this officer is equipped with
Nick Whitley it’s probably late answer, but federal signal system and sirens would be my guess.
Whelen Cencom Sapphire
LOL that "fight in progress" was long done by the time you guys got there.
Where's this at? Only police department in California I know of that uses the "phaser" siren tone.
Crazytaxi1000 Productions If I had to guess, I'd say Tehama County Sheriff's Office.
Caleb Geist yep its tehama county sheriff
Nice seeing code 3 police videos near my area of Northern CA
1:35 wow really? it took you that long to realize the police car?
+PRESTIGER33 I think he was waiting til he could pull into the slow lane because there was a truck in the way.
+TheMinipily left was free
Yeah - looks possibly a deliberate attempt by the Monte Carlo driver to slow them up, to me. What's up with this? I guess one way to give the finger to law enforcement without getting in any trouble.
Armadyl Featherbreeze yes and actually you can get a ticket for not pulling to the right.
Marshall Loveday he is traveling at 60+ MPH on a highway. the guy probably didn't hear the siren until the cop was right behind him
Where is the sneak chopper?
When i used yelp instead of whale it gave me more of and andrenaline rush.
awesome Video! love that Roar!
that's about how fast I drive through country roads without an emergency. so I cannot complain.
Diagnosis: Requires an administration of lead to the noggin.
im just thinkin how annoying cleaning those dead bugs off the windshield must be for them
video is 9:11 seconds long. Illuminati Confirmed. :I
Shhhhhhh
Dukes of Hazard over here on the tracks
Going to take a wild guess and Say we were in a Charger???????

All you really need is Z rated tires
+Andrew Silva Though you technically don't need special tires, Most Of Us use what you called Pursuit Rated Tires on our Patrol Units.

Can't believe I found a Code 3 video so close to home! Haha. Are you a TCSO Explorer?
RhapidFyre I was a TCSO Explorer back in the day. Great agency :)
just goes to show you when seconds count cops are minutes away
I have been wondering what is a code 3?
code 3- use lights and siren
What police department does this car belong to?
great video, but I have one question:

EnjoyFirefighting - International Emergency Response Videos I want to say we were doing about 110

well he wasn't on the floor seemed to be cruising
Done that several times...2011 Crown Vic top speed 131mph not fast enough in some cases.
Using the rumbler is a great feature!
How ironic the length of the video is 911 lol
I wish departments in my area did them, but unfortunately no one does as far as I'm aware. The disadvantage to living out away from bigger cities.
You can go ahead and 10-22. The Big boys are already on scene.
I randomly found this video, Tehama County!!! Is this when a CHP got shot?
there would have been way more cops on seen b4 he got there if chp got shot
so this is in California? central valley?
***** it looks like turlock or merced maybe...
***** its northern ca. red bluff and corning Area
That 4.6 sound tho..........
i like videos like these
What were you guys responding to?
a domestic
Elite199 if u want more let me know
Where was this filmed?
+samsquanch1996 California
+Gage Sanders No kidding...
+Gage Sanders That's kind of what I figured. Looks a lot like Sonoma county or somewhere in the rural northern SF bay area.
+samsquanch1996
It's in Tehama County. If you pause as they're passing some of the road signs it says Tehama.
There's no interstates here in Sonoma County, and there would be more vineyards instead of orchards.
This is just but ONE reason not to buy a used police cruiser.

This is why police take ages to respond lol

Liability.
Shane Gill exactly
Chuck Humphrey Why not.

+Chuck Humphrey I didn't know the speed of sound was only 60mph.
Nice Video, Stay Safe!!
Nice failure to yield at 1:32...
Really? Soundproof? To a siren/horn blaring maybe 200 feet behind you? I sincerely doubt that
Chun Lee You have to understand the amount of wind noise a car suffers at highway speeds, especially older cars, plus the possibility that the driver had a radio playing. The driver had to pass a truck in order to yield, anyway.
this video is 9:11 long hhhhhaaaaahaha
Ahhaahahaahh
