Love how you're gravitating toward a more "whole foods", plant-based diet. Just adding lots of vegetables and fruit and plant foods is so good for you. And it seems to do you good!
Maria :) Protein is very important, yes. There are 12 amino acids to consume every day, at a specific percentage. However, it has been scientifically proven that animal-protein is not well digested, and so we hardly absorb it as humans. Plant protein is 100% absorbed, and plants offer us minerals and nutrients that allow/enhance absorption. I am very well educated on the subject :) If you wish to learn more, I suggest reading "How not to Die" and "The China Study", as well as "The 80/10/10 Diet". So much love to you!
This is one of my favourite ‘what I eat in a day videos’ that I’ve watched! (I’ve watched heaps haha) loved all the recipes, defs going to try the lunch and dinner recipes - yum!!! X
I wouldn't worry about the fat content of the salmon, science and doctors are finally agreeing that fats are good for us and we should more concerned with processed and refined foods, suagr and flour being the main issues. The main worry with salmon would be its mercury content, but I think compared to other fish it's fairly low - still a good idea not to have it every day though just in case :p
Just to correct you Sammy, apparently you can’t have enough oilly fish. I agree that too much animal fats and butter it’s not good but you can eat plenty of oily fish as it’s so good for your heart which is why people take additional COD liver oil as a daily supplement. This video was so chilled🙏🏾 loved it! 🌸
I love overnight oats! I add flaxseed meal, maca powder, cinnamon and chia seeds to steel cut oats :) I also top it with peanut butter and frozen berries before I eat it!
Pro tip! Add in your agave nectar to the hot espresso before adding almond milk and ice. The heat from the espresso helps melt/evenly mix in the sweetener. :)
Hi Sam, as for sweeteners agave nectar isn't very good for you. It is low GI as it is almost completely fructose it is more damaging than it is beneficial. Something like rice malt syrup is a better option for some sweetness, maple syrup or even honey as it has some added health benefits. Hope that made sense! x
Your cooking videos are always so tasty. You are a sweet soul. Watching you from a young girl in a room on a bed with an extreme nervous laugh... evolve into this beautiful woman. I was watching a previous vid just the other day and it was at that point that it became a revelation to me..just how much you have changed. I guess it's all relevant because I have girls and am a new grandma x 2. It amazing to see how our young girls develop into young ladies, MOMMIES so mature, yet still so delicate. I wish you continued success in whatever you venture into
Please do more videos of different kinds of bowls you make! Both of them looked delicious especially the salmon one 😍 I’m trying to get inspiration for more bowls to try at home. Loved the video girl! ❤️
Hi Sam! love you and your videos! 1st youtuber I ever followed! Just fyi agave nectar is not any better than brown sugar or white sugar or a slice of white bread for that matter, to the body all sugar is sugar. Stevia or monk fruit sweetener is the best option if you're trying to be "better" like you said. Anyway, research about it, just a thought
I LOVED this video so much!! I have been living a healthier lifestyle recently and I find it so inspiring to see what others are doing! Everything looked AMAZING! Keep up the good work! 👍🏻😊
Sammi, I've always loved how creative you are in the kitchen. I'm moving in with my bf soon & you've inspired me with these dishes - more what I eats, please!
This is one of your best vids along with your styling content! I love how realistic and easy-to-follow your meals are whilst also being tasty and full of goodness...well done! 😃😃😃
Thanks for the tips! These videos are helpful, as I learn how to have a plant-based diet. Also, please do a cookbook! Continued success and hugs to your family.
Hey hun! This was just beyond amazing. I love you're recipes could you show us more of what you eat or snack on. I'm very interested to know! Could you maybe show us some meals you cook regularly for the family or yourself? I'm trying to eat more healthier foods and the recipes you made look great!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
That is so nice to get some inspo ! I usually run out of ideas of meals. I feel like I always eat the same things. I will try the oat porridge ! It looks very consistent, healthy and easy to cook. The recipe with the quinoa seems really nice. ( + I often don't know how to give some taste to quinoa, so the recipe you have shown will be useful in the future) I wish you all the best for your fitness journey ! I love your channel. Love from France xxx P.S. : sorry for my poor english grammar/vocabulary.
Love the idea of doing the oats like that, I normally just make porridge in a saucepan in the morning but can b a rush if I'm going out early so definitely going to try that and add some fruit too 😁
Please do more of these types of videos! I’ve always loved seeing what you eat, I get so inspired as it all seems so yummy yet healthy, but not the ‘overly complicated kind of trendy and hard to maintain’ healthy that is so popular now 😂 thank you! ps Indi is as adorable as ever 😩💗
I know you have probably said dozens of time (I have rewatched some of your what I eat in a day) but can you please tell me the make of your coffee machine? 😇 I am buying my first house in the new year and want a proper coffee machine! Thanks Xx
YESSSS havent even watched it yet but I've loved these videos of yours since you started on youtube! As long as you enjoy making them, keep them coming! (and routine videos as well) xxxxx
Love how you're gravitating toward a more "whole foods", plant-based diet. Just adding lots of vegetables and fruit and plant foods is so good for you. And it seems to do you good!
Protein is just as important though

I love how easy, accessible, and filling this all was. Don't see a lot of these videos that check all of those boxes, thank you Sammie!!

this is not the 'right' kind of salmon tho, the good one isn't light orange, it's much deeper in colour (pacific salmon i think)
Indie is such a little cherub! x

I love overnight oats! I add flaxseed meal, maca powder, cinnamon and chia seeds to steel cut oats :) I also top it with peanut butter and frozen berries before I eat it!
That oatmeal looks so bomb! A little bit of fruit might be yummy in that too 😋
the quiona bowl looks soooooo good! I've never thought of adding stock to it before, good idea xx
Pro tip! Add in your agave nectar to the hot espresso before adding almond milk and ice. The heat from the espresso helps melt/evenly mix in the sweetener. :)
Hello there 💕 just in case you didn't know, agave nectar is as bad as the processed sugar - you can read about it
Okay I need to make that quinoa bowl right now! Looks so delicious!!

Love your cooking videos keep them coming! Always so fun to watch
I love these types of videos! And in America at least where i am from (east side) we say Agave as Ah-gah-vey :)
Kiera Martin I’m English and that’s how I say it too :)
It's similar in Spanish, so that's gotta be right.
Love love love your cooking videos! Actually i just rewatched your breakfast ideas videos the other day!:)
Can you heat overnight oats up in the morning or do you eat it cold couldn't imagine cold porridge being nice sorry if this sounds dumb love you xx
RM xx yeah you can. But it's actually really nice out of the fridge believe it or not. X
She probably eats it cold (the almond milk softens the oats overnight so they can be eaten cold), but you can heat it up if you'd like.
my boyfriend said the same thing and now he's been eating it everyday for maybe 5-6 months lol so i suggest you try it cold, its good
Oh my, I love this and the bowls of delicious foods is just fab. Thank you
