David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA (Tuesday, 9 July, 2024) Immensely interesting to learn, fun for a skinny aircraft nerd who cannot see well enough to drive to watch (your cameras have better resolution). I can remember staring in fascination and awe at them even at age 5! If any of you ever come to central Ohio, give me a hello here on UA-cam; this gangly plane lover will show you his impression of a Douglas C-47 Dakota USAAF Cargo-Troop Transport. :) Well, then, a Douglas DC-3 Passenger Airliner! It’s all the same to me! At round 10:55, you present an Oshkosh M-978 HEMTT. Several years past had I built a highly-detailed model kit (Italeri) in 1:35th-scale loaded with the six-missile packs for the M-270 MLRS, I had three Dragon kits of that (to build in different iterations of operation and function), though I had been unable to finish them--the rest of that is a lonnnggg story! :( SMH!
@@SkywardSpectatorMSFS I did not say, that this aircraft was operated by the USAF. At 7:10 take a close look at the wings. You can see winglets (no USAF tanker has those) and fairings (no USAF tanker has so many). It clearly is an Airbus MRTT. As you say, the USAF does not operate any Airbus MRTTs, so it is save to assume the aircraft at 7:10 is no USAF aircraft.
no jonni i see you but it is KC, pause the video and check the tail, their shape doesn't match it has curve in the end but airbus has more flat, simple --- shaped curve
@@abk009 It is definitely an Airbus MRTT. The upper tail does not curve down as on the KC-46, but extends more or less in a straight line from the upper fuselage as with any Airbus model. The retracted center beam does not extend beyond the tail cone (like on the MRTT). The retracted center beam on the KC-46 extends beyond the tail cone. The aircraft has winglets, the KC-46 does not. This aircraft has five big pods under the wings. The KC-46 does not. The proportions (wing to fuselage) are too big for a KC-46 and match those of the MRTT. The video definitely shows an MRTT at 7:10.
@@ruudm3615 I never understood why Boeing had to produce a 737-MAX in the first place. what was wrong with the 737-700-800-900? Boeing should have never stop production on the 757 either
The one scene where they showed a huge area of tan equipment- I wonder if that was some of the billions of dollars of stuff Biden left behind in Afghanistan?
Plus the stuff that the military left behind was nothing of value a few hundred humvees which would have been too expensive to bring back .. do some research research before you write a dumb comment
@@shirkayoumi9788 couple of things. (1) Proofread your comments comments before posting (2) far more was left than humvees (operational ones as well) (3) you probably still claim joe is not cognitively impaired.
KC-135R leading the way 😎
Showing such positive pressure on the KC-46.. Proves ya can't polish a turd
Based on the 767-200 aircraft. Hard pressed to see the 200 variant in operation these days.

Using highways as airstrips was advanced by the German Autobahn (some of the associated support bunkers are still in place.)
My father flew B-29, KB-29, KC-97, and KC-135A he said he passed a lot of gas!
7:10 is not a KC-46, it‘s an Airbus MRTT.

I thought I was a plane nerd before reading the comments above, now I feel like a “commoner” 😢😂
The heavy BMG was introduced in 1921 not 1930.

Boeing should bring back the 767 in a passenger aircraft!!
As long its not a 767-Max 👍

the 787- 8 fills the exact same role as the 767-300
They're bringing back pan am airlines for a limited time
Imagine if US add F-35 technology to this dude
A KC-46 LANDING ON A HARD RUNWAY DOES NOT COUNT AS THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.
THAT OLD PLANE LOOKS NEW
Guam really isn't all that austere, especially with that new concrete runway.

For reference, the two aircraft used in the 9/11 attacks on the twin towers are this exact aircraft in passenger form. Student pilots my ass.
Oh!! But didnt they retrieve those massive passports in that little pile of rubble I.D. ing
them. How lucky! 😂
