✨Check out Miss Jessies for yourself✨ =====missjessies.com/===== ======amzn.to/3JFphMD======= Do you want freedom from frizz? ➡ bit.ly/freedomfromfrizz
This is why I'm REALLY liking the fragrance-free trend in hair and skin care products because the truth is a lot of people are allergic to super strong fragrances. I personally like fragrance-free to mild and natural fragrances over strong artificial ones. Courtney you are also really brave to take a gamble and try SO MANY products. I mean you never know what will make you allergic or cause hair fall. Adverse reactions can happen. I really appreciate you trying to many lines and reporting your experience back to us. God bless.
After the one brand washdays, I would be curious to see a series where you mix and match products from different brands to see what the optimum lineup for you is.
Pillow soft curls is my FAVORITE product of all time, it always makes my hair look amazing!....and I like the laundry smell 😂 But it is definitely strong and I'm sorry you had a reaction!! If they made a fragrance free version, I bet that'd be AMAZING!!
Some people with fine hair still love the Miss Jessie’s. Others find it too heavy. My manager loves the Pillow Soft but didn’t like the Honey curls. I liked the feather soft curls the best. Luckily the site does offer nice sample sizes if you wanna try☺️.
Oooh girl...I'm with ya. I have really sensitive/reactive skin and like you, I am also allergic to most laundry detergents (like the really popular one that starts with a T---). Your results were beautiful and hopefully this company will develop a fragrance-free version, if they don't have it already. Thank you for sharing this info and the info about the Twist products because those were on my radar. 🤷🏼♀
Not sure if you’re taking recommendations, but my favorite hair product combo at the moment is Maui’s Shampoo + Conditioner and Curlsmith’s Curl Defining Styling Souffle. I’ve been getting some really soft curls using this combo.
Oh goodness, your scalp and ear turned bright red while washing /styling, this is not an allergic reaction worth repeating! I’ve been curious about Pillow Soft Curls for ages, but I avoid fragrance when possible so good info to have! Sorry it didn’t work out for you
Hi Courtney, please do another Innersense wash day featuring their new 'I Create Definition' foam! I just got it but haven't tried it yet. Your videos are so helpful! I appreciate all the effort and detail you put into them for us ❤
I wanted to like this line. I've tried pillow soft curls several different ways with several different gels (including miss Jessie's gels) & my curls never come out right 😢 So many people get great results with these products, I'm just not one of them🤷🏽♀️
I stinking love pillow soft curls. It doesn't make my hair oily and I can reapply over a few days before I wash. I always add just a tiny bit of water before I squish it into my ends after I have styled, or before it dries if I am doing natural curls/waves. It makes my hair look so healthy and handles the frizz well. I don't use a lot though! A little goes a long way for me. I am so bummed you are allergic to it! Especially since it looks like it worked so well on you.
Jessiecurl has some products that are fragrance free. I just bought the three of their items for fine hair and am very happy with the results. I have hyper-allergies and am so grateful for this video. I was on the verge of buying their styler.
Oh no! I hope the wash helped clear everything up. But this is still good for anyone who's really sensitive to fragrances know. When it's a scent I like I don't usually care if it's on the stronger side but some can really be a bit much. It's amazing how much small adjustments can make on wash day. I've been thinking I had been using too much product so I tried to use less. Didn't get a strong cast when I usually have a rock hard cast. I really like the strong cast so I guess I'm looking for somewhere in the middle. Also I just got the curlsmith hair dryer. Y'all! My dry time was cut in HALF!!!!! Granted my old dryer was close to 15 years old and was probably on the cheaper side then. Between seeing a spark behind the on switch and having extra birthday money it was time for an upgrade!
Yes, little tweaks can make a difference! Crazy! But that is so awesome that you cut your dry time in half! Love their hair dryer! But sounds like it was time for an upgrade, especially with seeing a spark! Yikes!
Thanks for another great wash day! I’m sad that you had an allergic reaction and hope it didn’t last after you re-washed! I do have a question - you always say that your hair is washed with a clarifier and air dried product free. How many days before your one brand wash days do you wash product free? As for products, I would love to see Aunt Jackie’s don’t sharing gel, so maybe an Aunt Jackie’s one brand wash day? I have that and their quench leave-in but have a tough time using the gel because it’s so thick so would love to see you use it. Also, could you do an extended version so we can see your diffusing process from beginning to end? Thanks!!!
I've discovered Molton browns purify range which is fabulous for my wavy fine to medium hair - totally clean but not stripped and conditioned with no way down . Bouncy girls for 2/3 days .
I had a similar reaction to Treluxe Hi Definition Gel. My reaction wasn't as immediate as yours, but my scalp became SO inflamed and itchy, I've had to stop using the gel. :( I'm trying to determine if the gel caused the reaction or something else.
I tried these products once and though the itch was just me, or that I was allergic to something in it. I also couldn't stand the fragrance, it is so IN YOUR FACE.
They’ve gotten A LOT of feedback about their fragrances being overwhelmingly strong and have never done anything about it. It’s unfortunate, because their stylers are really top notch.
I'm really intrigued by the ms jessies stylers but to be frank they REEK. I ordered sample packets to see if I can tolerate any of them (I hate laundry and powder scents, so...). My nightmare is that one ends up being my holy grail but I can't handle the scent.
Pillow soft is a cream with really light hold, jelly soft is a gel with light hold, and feather soft is a cream for thinner hair. I like the feather soft, and I’m not allergic. I’m allergic to pretty much everything else.
Glycrin can be tough! These videos may help... Glycerin and Curly/Wavy Hair, My Favorite Glycerin Free Products- ua-cam.com/video/0r5LCQ72PTE/v-deo.html IS GLYCERIN BAD FOR WAVY CURLY HAIR?!-ua-cam.com/video/W87lyu1mRQM/v-deo.html
I agree one either loves or hates the scent. Im not a fan of pillow soft but I’m ok with feather soft. Meanwhile my manager is hooked on pillow soft for life😅.
I so wish these companies would realize how toxic these fragrances are. I’ve never been able to try Miss Jessie’s because just smelling it I knew I would react. That itch is so irritating. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve washed my hair twice in one day. 😢 I’m sorry you had issues. That’s unfortunate.
I used to use the Miss Jessie’s jelly soft gel and then all of a sudden my hair didn’t like it anymore my hair gets finicky and stops liking products after a while so I have to switch them up but Omggg when it worked I had the best hair days
I tried Miss Jessie's once... The fragrance was so strong I thought I was going to gag. And it didn't dissipate... EVER! I washed my hair 2x that night and again the next day and I could still smell it... I wanted to run away from my own hair!! Why would they put that much fragrance in ANYTHING??
Yes! I used the curl gel once and threw the tube away. Very stinky. Same thing with Shea Moisture Deep Moisturizing Masque. Smells like overpowering old lady cheap perfume!!
Oh, Courtney, feeling so badly for you and the obvious reaction to the fragrance in these products you had. Looked so miserable. Hope you were able to get some relief once you re-washed. ❤
Do y’all know if I would need all of those products because I only have the jelly soft curls and I just got that today bcs it caught my eye and now I feel like I need the pillow soft because I don’t want my hair crunchy 🥹what should I do

@@cleocatra9324 Yeah! Feather soft is definitely a lighter scent and does a lot of the same thing, it's a great option

I know she did one with Curlsmith a few months or so ago but I don’t remember what product you could probably scroll back and find it 🙂
Thanks for being so honest about the allergic reactions to these products. I have similar sensitivity issues.
Absolutely!!! Glad I could help others avoid it!
I like the Feather one of Miss Jessie’s. I use it if I air dry.

My holy grail product from them I’ve replaced with eva nyc for similar reasons
