- Is today the today where I manage to run an average rep time of sub 3 for all 10x800s. Start the block with 3:14, then 8 sessions and 15 weeks later hit 3:01. Today we look to break 3 minutes flat. Lets Go !!

That's a phenomenal session Matt. Really well done 👏
@@deansummerton2577 thank you Dean 😄 coming along nicely, I'm really happy with it, and it's making my long runs at MGP feel gradually easier - magic !! 🪄🪄
Sub 90 looks doable for you. Good luck. I managed 90mins and 18secs a couple of years ago. Keep it going matt.
@@stevierunner thanks Steve, and your so close to the sub 90, well done with that ! Mind if I got that close I'd be happy with and maybe settle there and pick up it up when the sub3 marathon comes (if it ever does 😂 )
Super impressive workout and progress over your training block. Well done, Matt. I think you'll run sub 90 for your half. Go get it!
@@RunFreeandStrong thanks Reto, just depends on the conditions, it's a tough course to run 90 at GNR, but we'll see 😃
Good numbers. Yes the first rep is the most important to dial into pace for the rest of the session. I reckon Sub 90 is on based on the 10k time on a tricky course.
@@tworunningbrooms it'll be tough to do 90 at the GNR but if the weather's good I might give it a go 🤔
Good work Matt. I love a track run in the sun. Will have to try yours there
Yeah thanks Paul ! Yeah the track is good, a bit sheltered (still gets the wind), a cafe, toilet, and a medical centre if it all goes really wrong 🤣 Defibrillator on trackside too !!
Well done Matt! You’re getting there now. Hard work paying off for you. So there is a marathon on the horizon?
@@kennyosborne5835 thanks Kenny, its not really been that hard to get to 3 minutes a rep. Happy with it and will just keep it going, and have a think about what I want to do on the track but I'm ahead on that side of the training so it's good. And yeeessss always a marathon on the horizon, they are all getting hard to enter now seems everyone's a runner now but that's a good thing 😃
