That is good advice. The first thing I did when I purchased my house in Corozal was install 36 panels and two Tesla Powerwall batteries. As soon as I get a power outage, the batteries activate-you don't even perceive it. I then have power for several days and weeks since the batteries are refilled through the solar panels. I also have a well that has never failed in years. There is plenty of water for the house, the pool, and the garden. My house is for sale by the way, I want to purchase a smaller house near schools (I have two kids).
@maxprog smart thing to do, I only see the power situation getting worse before it gets any better. The infrastructure here really needs to play catch up to all the development in my opnion. Thanks for watching the channel 😀
@@UrCho1ce It still needs to be listed. The price will be 725.000 USD. It's a big house on a large plot, with a big pool, a boat pear, a vast kitchen, a huge main bedroom with high ceilings, etc. It's pretty easy to maintain, though. It has a total of 4 bedrooms. It is located in a street of US/Canadian ex-pats, 2 miles from Corozal. I can give you more info (and a link to see pictures) if you like. Note that the solar system (installed by Prosolar) is one year old and has a 10 years warranty.
Love the Michael!! Would love to meet you and your wife, your vidio the other day about putting your house up for dale shocked me and my husband, webe been watching you for awhile. Moved to Belize in July from the US. Just wow wow wow, we had never been here before. Again wow!! Do you have an e mail??
My family is connected to the electric grid and water here in Belize, but we have them as backup. There is plenty rain and sunshine to suffice your need. It's not even that costly if you find ways to source your equipment abroad especially for the solar part. Yeah we heard there was blackouts last year, don't really know much about it.
@jaxflRealtor No there was a black out yesterday, the only places it didn't affect were I guess where you are and north to the border. You can look it up on Belize 5 news. All the videos were from yesterday. Thanks for watching 😁
@martinschwan783 definitely a good idea, if you noticed the PM said it MAY have a fix by the end of 2025.... it's only going to get worse... thanks for watching 😁
I’m still coming! That’s nothing that doesn’t happen in the US. I will manage. I had contacted you months ago and asked if you guys do tours, etc? I’d like to discuss this and other things.’ How can I contact you guys? I’m coming for my Christmas present to me….. to start my journey of scouting areas to live. I plan on going back and forth for a while, coming from Florida. How can I contact you guys?

They need a little more time to figure out how to get the benefits of a state of emergency. This country would be self sufficient 20 years ago but government blocked ot because it did not bring profit to their pockets plus it would expose how much profit is going to current suppliers of electricity
I've never been impressed with the Belizeian approach to governance. There is no excuse for not having power. If Belize can't provide cheap energy it will never develop its economy. Gas is to expensive as well. As long as igas is more than double the price in Texas the economy will never grow.
So glad we're off-grid. If I didn't click on your video, I wouldn't have even known there was a power outage here yesterday.
@PlantBasedBelize OFF grid really is great...Thanks for watching 😁😁
Good info and appreciate you sharing. I've been away for a few years but planning to be back soon. Keep sharing!
Safe travels
Thanks
@@Shannon-u8v Thanks for watching and same to you....😁😁
