Some old guy told me back in the 70's an easy way to move the engine. Put the car in 4th gear and let off the brake and just move the car to adjust. Best on level ground.
I've got a 64 Triumph spitfire. It had one of the rocker arm adjusters strip out so I can't adjust the valves. I purchased new rocker arms, new rocker arm shaft, and new pushrods. The new pushrods are longer than my old ones. I had zero adjustment with them. I removed them and reinstalled my old push rods and I still have zero lash. I don't know what's going on. Do the new style of rocker arms require shimming the pedistals in order to have the proper lash?
Hey hey!! Thank you for your comment! This is the first comment I’ve had in (500k veiws) I am kinda unsure of…. Are the threads in the head ok? As if they are a little striped out then that can cause play? May seem simple but just playing devils advocate
Great video! If you remove the spark plugs the engine will rotate easier without compression and less chance of breaking your fan 👍
Thank you! To be fair, I now do this :D
