      @@Livinginsaskatoonguide I believe more in Alberta but has more municipal laws from Sask. The school system is under Sask and all babies are born on the Sask side. 18 is legal in Alberta to drink but you can’t go to the bar across the street in Sask. At one time there were seat belts in Sask but not Alberta. Learners license is 14 in Alberta and 16 in Sask. Our farm was 10 miles from the border Alberta side.

    Born in Saskatchewan. Moved to Calgary when i was 23. Lived there for 17 years.
    Moved back to Saskatchewan.
    I love my home province and will never leave again

    How about the great outdoors. Alberta has around 800 fishable lakes, Saskatchewan has 97,000.

    Alberta is definitely NOT left wing. More left than Saskatchewan, sure, but all around it's the texas of canada, and it's pretty right wing. Especially by canadian standards

    I went from Vancouver, then moved to Calgary in 2014 for lower cost of living, now I’m moving to Regina next week. They gonna push me all the way to Winnipeg 😭😂

      I live in Québec, pure french Lady 😅 ... but i want my kids to be bilingual and live in an English environnement.
      Also, I want to be able to become a conference , workshops interpreter ( french - English and vice versa )
      I am struggling to chose between, SK, Alberta, Ontario, BC... my husband is into the oilfield industries...

    I moved from Vancouver Island to return to Sask in March of 2023. No comparison between the 2 places....much simpler way of life, and much lower cost of living.

      I moved from Sask to BC when I started my Service with the Royal Canadian Navy. I figured I'd go back to Sask in order to retire.

      While the BC West Coast does have its nice points, the plusses in Sask outweigh the plusses on southern Vancouver Island. Besides, with Fort Qu'Appelle being in a valley between 2 lakes, it has some of the elements of the coast without the insane cost of living.

    I've lived in both, Calgary is nice because it is close to mountains but if you like small town feel Regina beats Calgary and Edmonton

    You seem to have concentrated on the larger centres of both provinces. Let me assure you small town Alberta and Saskatchewan have some wonderful towns to live in and raise a family. City life is not for me and it would have been great for you to also feature rural and small town living.

      I live in Saskatoon and read on the subreddit for it about people applying to 50-100 jobs and only getting one or two calls back for places with over 70 applicants. Good luck.

      @@Livinginsaskatoonguide Currently i live in Regina, unfortunately.
      I used to live in Moose Jaw. My Mother lives in Humboldt and my brother lives in Lake Lenore. None of those places have the crime and open drug use that Regina and Saskatoon have.

    Sorry, but Alberta is a conservative province, has been for almost 60 years. and remains that as of today, I would say this province is more centre right for sure is a great place to live.

      yea i think he was getting at is yes alberta is/has been staunchly conservative, but over the years the onturdians,kweebekers and people from little china (BC) started to move to alberta making it a bit more left leaning over the years compared to Sask which sucks cause most of them are probably gonna do what the equivalent of what californians do in the states which is ruin the current state, then move to the next state, live there a bit enjoy it, start changing policies that are heavily left leaning, new state turns to shit and rinse and repeat

    The Alberta United Party is a Far Right political party… The Saskatchewan Party is a Centre Right political party. Alberta is the most right leaning province in this country.

      @@Livinginsaskatoonguide Since 1971 Saskatchewan has had 27 years of left leaning political control. As for Alberta they have had 4 years of left leaning political control in that same time frame. The reason why the NDP won in 2015 is because of a vote split between two other conservative parties in the province Progressive conservative and The wild rose party but they have since formed into the United Party. Even when we look at past or present politics Alberta has always been the more right wing province

      @Livinginsaskatoonguide I mean I consider saskatchewan home, I just don't like what's happened to it. We're hoping for somewhere in the foothills smaller place, close to hiking. We lived on V Island for 10 years then moved back here a few years ago. It has changed dramatically.
