Samuel Walker, my great grandfather 9 generations ago founded Exeter with John Wheelwright. It’s been instrumental in several political and religious shifts in America. George Whitefield, one of the progenitors of the 1st great awakening delivered his last sermon just across the street from PE Academy, We were walking through just a couple days ago, also drove to Newburyport where Whitefield rests underneath the altar at the Old South Presbyterian Church.
