Geez... 495 horsepower, 0-60 in under 3 seconds, imagine what the z06 and zr1 will be like...
Some say the z06 will be out a year later. I'm going to wait on that one. I was planning on getting a used NSX but I rather get a new z06 with the same or less money :).
There's a UA-cam channel called "Engineering explained" and it scientifically explains that if the C8 had the same power output as the C7 Zr1 it would hit 0-60 in 2.5 seconds.
The only thing that can slow the C8 are dominant women and mangina males. "Men" have passed all the decision making to their masters in every sense of the word. That is why SUVs are king and sports car sales are in the toilet. If more men grew some balls, or better yet went MGTOW, the whole FUN/sports car category could have a resurgence in sales. Don't let your mommy tell you what you can and cannot buy with your own money.

Trust me. The C8 Corvette will reshape the supercar industry. It will set a new standard. It is just an awesome car. And I still don't know how Chevy managed to pull this off, considering the car's price point. Well done, GM!

I hate to say this but I love it 😄👍🏼 my color is red and the interior looks like some knight rider kitt stuff but a updated version of kitt Chevy did a great job on this build and the price even better 😌🖐 I'm sold .

willmatic 84 And definitely better than the Shelby GT500 KR they used in the remake series, a few years ago. Not to mention, this car in real life has plenty of technology, so it's easier to 'blend in' some extra sci-fi elements on it without making it look out-of-place. I'm eager to see what they'll come up with in the Z06, ZR1 and the so-called 'Zora' range topper. The lack of a manual version left me a bit sad, BUT...maybe someone can develop a conversion kit for it, who knows...European Auto Group's doing a Ferrari 458, which also never had a manual version to begin with.

Just incredible. All other manufacturers, you’re on notice. Try and keep up with this for the same $$$. I hope this forces every one of them to give us better value for the big bucks we have been paying to have something nice. Jeep Gladiators go for over $60K, but should not have gotten to that point. This Corvette though? It’s exactly what $60K should get you. Thanks Chevy!
... and the other good news for us living in Australia is that the C8 will be manufactured in right hand drive! The bad news is that once it hits our showrooms, the price well be well north of US$85K. I'll just have to save more!!
I think a lot of people are going to cancel their orders they have for the Shelby GT500

The dealers are adding about $30,000 to whatever the factory msrp is. Here we go with another BS gouging attempt.
The MRSP price is surprising to many; however, if this car needs repairs done outside the warranty period, you better grab your wallet. Trying to get to the vital parts of the engine is going to be a nightmare.
I hope I fit in it being 6’5. If I can, I will buy one!

U will that had a guy at the event was 6’5 and was in it and said he still have a lot of room because by the engine in the back is was more room so u will be good to go

You UA-camrs keep pushing the that the C8 will start under $60K but why don’t you get into what the C8 will really cost after adding some features/ options that are needed on the C8 to make it desirable. Options like the Z51 package, LT2 , Suspension lift, wheels, brakes and so on. So in closing the Fan Boys that are so excited about the C8 ad put their deposit down will get sticker shock once the pricing is available on the options. I bet a nicely optioned C8 will be $75-85K plus. I am not knocking the C8 but that stating price will get you a crapping C8.

Yes Chevy announced it was selling for 50k, the dealerships are already selling it for 120k.. the are already killing it.. thank the dealerships !! If they want to really sell the car sell it online and don’t use dealerships.

Great video!! The C8 is going to be a awesome car for sure but everyone is comparing it to the 2020 GT500 and I don't know why!! These are two completely different cars although its said C8 0-60 under 3 seconds if so anything after that the GT500 will beat it cause 760HP & 625TQ... Also it can be bought at MSRP mine is ordered I also got Carbon Fiber Track Pack! I think GM did the right thing with the C8 cause Corvette has been hurting in sells and sense Camaro wont be around much longer im sure many people will look into a C8

I have NEVER been a corvette guy. A year and 1/2 ago, my father-in-law left us his 1993 40th anniversary edition with only 6200 miles. I love it. I am 100% in on the new one, and will have one. Cannot wait!

@@mustangtony2933 why get any options? Car looks great as it is, dont buy any of those overpriced POS options that cost as much as a budget car in and of themselves. Id get a base car like a normal person. Without the Z51 package I bet you itll still have a 3.2 0-60 time.
Looks cool but it is like chevy wanted to make an Acura nsx or a Ferarri 360. They have copied everyone else and combined pieces here and pieces there.
Looks Corvette to me. How much more different can you make a mid engine look while getting air where its needed? lights look Corvette, tail looks C7ish... hmmm

I think that the new corvette is phenomenally designed, and I think the Chevy did a great job with it. My only problem is those brake lights. They look more like a Camaro than a Corvette. That just throws me off a bit. Other than that, a great and unique design that I’m surely gonna get one day
Dealership mark ups gonna make this car well over $60k don’t go in thinking you gonna pay 60k maybe 70 or 80k

At first I was disappointed in the stying. I felt like is was not unique looking and I still kind of do but it is growing on me. The price is simply amazing. The price is what is going to make this car a huge success in my opinion. The engineering sounds incredible as well but ultimately what sets it apart is the price.
If they would have gave it 700 horsepower with the mid-engine zero to 60 would be under 2 seconds

The intake manifold looks a lot bigger than the one in the C7 because the engine is behind the driver they can now play around with it.

Toyota can't even build their own sports car, they had to have BMW do it for them!
I would also argue that the past 2 or 3 generations of Corvette engines are as reliable as a Toyota. And dare I mention just how UNreliable BMWs are? Good luck with that new BMW Supra. lol

Yuck!🤢 what the hell is happening with the new car world!!! Overpriced and over rated. Set that car next to a 1950’s or 60’s vette and you really see what a trainwreck these have become. Old cars had personalities, new cars all look like cockroaches on wheels. Again yuck !!!
