Honestly, it’s amazing how much work you put into these videos. You only have 287 subscribers, and still have better quality tutorials than some 500k+ channels. You’re amazing.
I figured this out months ago, but better late than never - you can quickly check for an improperly mirrored UV mesh by starting to scale along the vertical axis and typing 1 for the scale value. Then, repeatedly hitting the hyphen key will effectively flip the mesh, making any discrepancies apparent. By using the escape key to cancel the scale operation, this can be performed as many times as needed to fix multiple pairs of vertices. Again, thanks for these tutorials!
My door, trunk, and hood seams still aren't unified, whenever, I simply unwrap my car. I have gone back multiple times, and saved multiple files, to verify the mesh has no duplicate vertices. How do you keep your seems from dividing the UVs in UV editor?
Hi ! I'm working on Blender 2.91, and some functions are not at the same place as in v.2.81. I found most of them but now I can't find the Weld function... It's not in the right-click context menu, nor in the UV menu up the screen. Google tells me to Stitch, but I see you have this option and don't select it. Please help !
Great videos by the way !! You just seem to tire yourself in this video, as you don't explain as much how to do the operations. It's still really okay though, thanks a lot :)
Sorry it took so long to respond, I'm not logged in to this channel every day lately, though that's going to change soon with the new update coming for Automation. That all said, you figured it out. Merge at center will work the same as weld, it should be the same function/result at the end of the day.
@@hardroosterlabs3814 Thanks ! I didn't get any problem with my model, except cosmetic things like a tiny bit of bad reflections and wrong material placement, and it works well :) I have to fix these issues, then I'll upload it on the Steam Workshop, look for a '68 Dodge Charger Body ;) I'm happy to read that you'll be back for the new update, I guess it'll be for the no longer existing bound boxes, manual drag coefficient etc... ? Are there other changes of this type ?
top left of your UV editing window, look for a button with two arrows facing opposing directions at a 45 degree angle, this is the UV sync button. Try that one, see if that fixes it.
Does it matter if my UV wrap is like the opposite direction of yours? My car's orientation is actually the same but for some reason during these steps its opposite of your's.

Hey thanks! I really appreciate the feedback.

I try it with merge at center, we'll see.

Hey,I have problem, when I unwrap one part of car and select other part. The unwrapped is gone.

@@hardroosterlabs3814 Hi,will try that,thanks.

Just an update, it doesn't seem to matter after I got my car in the game it worked as expected.
