I am SAD to see the word (stereotypes) here. This is ONE PERSON'S story!!!
I was diagnosed at 51y/o, now 58y/o, and have always been very verbal.
But with that said being able to speak does not mean being able to communicate well and often not at all. I learned the concept of non-verbal communication at 52y/o and realized I have NO ABILITY in that type of communism. people take my jokes seriously, and I get the most laughs when I am serious like telling my life story. I have spent most of my life adapting to what OTHERS thought I said.
This young man could communicate very well if his parents would "listen"
I think the kid feels guilty, he knows how his parents feel.
Oh we know, that’s the hardest part. We know how we affect others unintentionally, it hurts.
Im on the higher end of the spectrum and am more analytical and technical. Weird textures, sudden loud noises and bright lights make me anxious and focusing almost impossible sometimes. I had some people in my school who were like Ron in this short film though and I had to grow into being as smart as I am. Especially when I was a kid growing up I had alot of meltdowns and shutdowns over simple things like not understanding integers and other basic math stuff. Even had trouble tying my shoes and never really learned until I was atleast 14. Now what sickens me as I am so aware of the goings on of the world and some parents actually abandoning an autistic child to make their life easier when they can grow out of it somewhat and adapt!
I am also autistic and I was diagnosed as an adult and I do have meltdowns from time to time, loud noises trigger me
I could imagine processing these emotions of guilt and frustration this way in another life where I was still autistic.
Wdym still autistic?
still autistic? you can't outgrow autism
Very nice, real acting, genius
Man! This is a sad short film. I myself is autistic. I have Asperger syndrome. 😭
I have autism too
@@Saiyan_StephMe three
Yes
...pretty on point, wandering is common in autism, good depiction!
That was emotional
Very sad. I hope his parents learn to take his feelings in account too.
That beach scene make me cry 🥺
I can relate I have Autism as well sadly
Great movie
Agreed it is a good movie :)
Yep it is
Can somebody explain the ending?
He’s being hugged by a physical recreation of his happiest memory.
Ah the classic stereotype again-
Which is...?
@@georgealderson4424 they have rlly bad autism
@@helloblue1952 I see
These stereotypes only add to the stigma of autism. People who are autistic are not always like this. There are non vocal autistics, vocal autistics and in between. We need accurate representation of disability. This is ok, but I expected more.
Yes I agree. There’s also those with Autism who don’t need as much support and often you wouldn’t notice they were autistic until you talked to them or got to know them (like me, the specialist said I had what he’d call “mild Aspergers”). I feel like there needs to be more acknowledgment and awareness of this kind of autism as well.
I can relate to this soo much
Me too I have autism

Wow sterotypical😀
very stereotypical.
This is why I'm afraid to have kids cuz of personal reasons and plus I can't handle a special needs kids but if the child was mentally normal I'm ok with it but I decided not to have kids
There are lots of people in the lower end of the autism spectrum and you wouldn't even be able to 'tell' they have autism. So saying that is very harmful
@@Cam_2727 I agree
Always remember we must repent of our sins (sin is transgression The Law Of Yahuah The Father in Heaven. The Law are The Books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, & Deuteronomy). We must repent of our sins and Have Belief On Yahusha The Messiah. HE Died and Rose three days later so that we can be forgiven of our sins!
Come to HIM🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Hu? Sorry but what’s the point of this comment?😅
