I bought some lovely large buttons for a jacket I have just completed only to discover that my automatic buttonholed on my sewing machine can only make buttonholes up to 1 inch. Thank you so much. I can't seem to line up the side line at the edge of the wide bar tack. I place the needle exactly in the same position as you, but my machine always adjusts the needle position the do the side bar down the centre. Is there a setting I need to change. Thank you Lynn

Hi Lynn. I think your problem is that you're in the buttonhole mode. To use the technique in the video you don't use the buttonhole mode.
