Gunning for revenge, outlaw Nat Love saddles up with his gang to take down enemy Rufus Buck, a ruthless crime boss who just got sprung from prison.
I was spellbound by the visuals, the cast, the direction and the storyline. Then you add the 🔥🔥🔥 music score??? AND come to find out he also wrote and produced all them amazing songs? WHEWWW!!! Man, Jeymes Samuels is a FORCE! He did that! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Heavy on the visuals. All the horse riding shots did something to my soul
YES!! This movie was revolutionary IMO
Sometimes you gotta do it all!
@@nahimgood4 Agreed! Definitely a Gem if you ask me. Already a CLASSIC in my eyes.
IT WAS SOOOO GOOD
This movie should have been nominated for an Oscar. It was everything!!!
Yes and someone should have won an Oscar
This film was everything, this cast was everything. Can’t wait for more to come. Stories need to be told. Let the light shine bright in the dark.👏🏽👏🏽
RJ Cyler killed it in this film!
Until he died…
For real 🤩
That story about feeding the gun is legendary
We need A prequal for Jim and all the side characters and how they all got together
There’s so much potential there especially with sheriff Bass story that be 🔥🔥
That was beautiful Deon Cole wow. Incredible performance and your mother would surely be proud of you
yes i didn't expect to cry this is so emotional
The entire cast did a tremendous job with their own artistry.
Condolences Regina, I love you. Even if I never see you on another set, I don't care because I want you to be well and your family too. You've given us so much since the 90s. Thank you.
Jaymes is a casual genius. Writer, director, AND COMPOSER?!?
Yep!
I loved the scene where Rufus and Mary lean into each other's foreheads. I'm glad to know the intention of solidarity. So significant in our community.

I’m literally dying at this round table 😩 this movie was so freaking good! One of my favs!
Deon, blessings to Ms. Charlene. My mom is 87 and after watching this movie she said this was the first time she saw an all-black cast in a Western. She truly enjoyed it. Everyone did a fantastic job and the soundtrack is a beast.
That is so sweet :) she sounds like a fun lady if she's watching action movies like this with you!
I hope you and your nana are still doing well!
@@DeaDiabola We are well. Thank you ❤🖤💚
@@Miss-Ann-Thrope Yay!!! May you share many more years with your cool granny🖤🖤🖤
Grandmas are truly precious in this uncertain world.🥰
This is so beautiful. So amazing. You can see the team work and the synergy still flowing.
I definitely agree!
This movie was excellent. I've literally watched it 20 times to understand each character! Jeymes didn't disappoint in selecting the cast!
Sorry for your loss Deon. R.I.P. Charlene
Aww that was so sad she couldn't see him in the film 😥
@@Jenny-nh9hh she just maybe watching down over him and he'll see her again when it's his own time. #familiesareforever
@@DavidLaubman absolutely 🙏
I love seeing them explain their thought process and perspective. I appreciated the actors supporting one another and D. Cole being vulnerable. I loved the movie Posse because it was the first time I saw people that looked like me in a western. Both THTF and Posse portray us as we were, and are cool, and in charge.
Jonathan Majors is a incredible actor, absolutely stole the show as He Who Remains in Loki and also the Harder They Fall, so excited to see his portrayal of Kang the Conqueror 👏👏👏
That was the universal black consciousness on one table and I'm very proud of you all.
Deon, I lost my father recently and I feel your pain. Your mother would be proud of you. Keep your head up.
🕊️🙏🏾
I love the energy flowing through this room
I still want him to finish explaining why he chose reggae ❤. He could of chosen straight hip hop but of course him being Nigeria decent and raised in England during 70's and 80's, he had to "Leggo di vibes" with the REGGAE and... the FELA KUTI!!! ❤👏🏿
Didn’t expect this round table to be this beautiful
I want them to do a prequel!! It would be dope
Make this an open universe within the arena of Netflix
Definitely!
Jeymes gave a very good answer when Deon asked him why it took 15yrs to get this joint made.
Welp wasn't expecting to cry watching this interview but that deon part about his mom got me damnit lol
Me too 🥺
Deon's moment talking about his mother was very emotional. I'm so happy he was able to be a part of this!
We needed more of this interview!!
I have watched this movie no less than 5 times - each time I watch it …. I pick up something else - the full cast and director and writers are outstanding - no detail was over looked - and the soundtrack is insane - - this movie is beyond excellent it is actually brilliant - our society is so broken but through cinema such as this we are able to build back that which was lost !!!! Bravo 👏🏽
I am a mom of 3 boys and they just love this movie. We watched it all day on Christmas and they just love playing the characters. And my oldest looked up all the people to get to know more about them. It's such a powerful movie and it was needed at this time. Much appreciated and thank you to everyone involved in making this movie come to life. I pray there is more movies made like this in our future.🙏🙏🙏
Everyone was perfect in this film. I'm so proud to see us on screen being excellent. This film made my childhood dreams become realized.
This powerful interview should be observed at all large conferences, meetings, congregation, picnics of Black People. This interview is genuine genius. This an answer to, Black leaders for our youth. Black youth pick one and emulate.
I loved the two scenes that Regina and Idris referred to; the head tilt and the fastening of his cuff. It was intimate without being romantic or sexual. It was about solidarity. It was beautiful.
It was🥹
What an elite cast on such a dope film. The soundtrack with the cinematography and the story was perfect. It truly is the new west 🐎🔥
My condolences go out to Regina King for losing her only child. 🙏🏽
🙏🏾🕊️
this movie was so damn good and jonathan and idris are so 😍😍😍 everybody did amazing. i hope there’s a sequel!
This conversation is so beautifully deep, sincere and spiritual✨🦋
I loooovvveeddd this movie. I cried, I laughed, I cheered. Everything u need for a great film.
This was beautiful to watch! This movie is one of the best visuals I've ever seen, instant classic and so inspirational. R.I.E.P Charlene 🙏🏾❤
So proud to have been apart of this HISTORY MADE!!
Man this was fuckin beautiful! Deon’s performance was fantastic! I didn’t even know it was him til my second watch!
This was literally amazing bruh we need more content like this immediately!!
I've seen this movie 5 times SO FAR! I LOVE IT!! Thanks to Jeymes Samuel and the entire cast for such an incredible experience. I've had 2 floor-to -ceiling banners of Bill Pickett in my home office for 30 years, and to see him brough to life like this rocked my world. I can't thank you enough for this. ❤❤
So true I didn’t know I could like westerns until I saw this movie. I was so moved by how much I enjoyed it, it’s like I missed out on a whole genre all these years and watching them speak about making the movie, even more touching ❤️
Tombstone is an incredible movie, and this movie takes a lot of inspiration from that one. VERY similar stories being told, just through different perspectives.
Bone tomahawk is also a good watch!
Just an epic tale with a talented cast!!! Love it.
Their chemistry was genuine and unmatched.
Dion was so good I didn't realize it was him
My husband and I watched this movie together and loved it so much.
As a writer this is so beautiful and inspiring. I’m watching the movie right after this.
This movie was great from beginning to end and this interview is just full of intelligence and love. Easily the best movie ive scene in a while
Jonathan Major is one of my favorite actors man... I said it when I first saw Lovecraft country (still mad about that shit)
He changed the cadence of the western by changing the music! That’s incredible.
Thumbs up to the cast and Director, its awesome discussion.
Just fantastic all around, where is Lakeith 🥺
Look at these beautiful people, look at them.
I loveed it. Been waiting for a movie like this since Posse. Please give us more. Also on a whoollle other note, Jeymes Samuel should create a spin-off series from the 80s Kung Fu movie, Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon and have Deon Cole as Sho'Nuff. The Karate Kid got Cobra Kia, it's only right that Netflix gives The Last Dragon their turn.
I loved this movie so much.....everyone did an amazing job on this film!!! God bless y'all abundantly, now I'm going watch it for the 14th time, no joke!!!!!
For Charlene!
This was a wonderful movie to watch. Thank you.
This wasn’t just a movie- this was an experience. Period
Rj cycler deserved atleast one more scene of him shooting, and he didn’t do a lot of the press for the movie I don’t understand why
My father was a huge cowboy movie fanatic, he passed away on January 7th, 2022 and thankfully he was able to watch both of these movies... they die by dawn, and then the harder they fall! He loved them both and I was happy to spend that time with him sitting and enjoying the brilliance of these two great films!
Imma huge fan of westerns, and to actually recognize the names of real life black cowboys in this film was such a joy. It was done so well, I was absolutely transported by the acting, the writing, and the story. #sogood
I wanna see more westerns with the same actors so we can have James beckworth again cj cyler is perfect as a gunslinger
☝🏾of my TOP 5 films EVER!! I sooo loved EVERYTHING about it this Movie!!! Music~Cast~Storyline~Acting~Producers etc….
Idris raise a good point about being "partners and not being romantic.
This round table gave me chills man, I’m watching this movie again tonight…..for the the third time lol.
Awesome movie with an awesome cast! Going to watch again as soon as I finish moving!
There's so much love here it's overwhelmingly beautiful.
23:50 is where I started to cry
Deon Cole blew my fucking mind in this film. I've never seen him so serious in a part. It was a metamorphosis. I hope his part in this film opens the door to more roles, because my manz got range✊🏿🖤💪🏿🙂🌻
Tbh his character would have whopped Rufus but ya know he had to cheat
This film is a classic!
One of the best western movies ive seen. just wonderful production, story & cast.
I don’t even LIKE westerns but this movie is so incredibly done and it’s easily one of my favorite movies ever!! I LOVEEEE every single actor on this cast
Wow wow wow this is awesome but… where is Zazzie?
Dammn Deon you really did yo thing
The music was fantastic in this film, never thought Jamaican music can work in a western, such an amazing film, this guy definitely has me interested for his next movie, I mean the ending did seem very sequel bait but who knows 🤷♂️
Loved this music so freaking much. Have seen numerous westerns. But never a western that surprised me with a different perspective on the west in every frame. The characters, the relationships, the styling, the music….jeez
Loved it
Thanks Netflix and all the other ppl that made it possible
Excellent conversation. Makes me want to watch this again.
Thanks a lot, I just balled my eyes out again. This film truly changed me life and opened my heart to the love of film and story telling
Great Film. Part 2 I can't wait.
Hollywood is y'all Listening...WE NEED MORE OF THIS!!!
Man if you told me Deon was gonna be the one to make folk cry...I'd neva, but "My Momma wanted to see this movie..."
“It’s us- it’s all good.” Omg! I love that he said that!
Right 😭
Deon made me tear up. Man. 😢
These people are AMAZING!
The Arts was good especially that scene where the girl was dancing in blue and the focus and how the scene came alive, that was a really awesome surprise elements.
This was beautiful.
I need a Sequel!!!!
Me too!!!!
I think there will be one based on the ending 👀👀
The guy who played Jim Beckwourth has a beautiful face. Pleasure to watch on cinema.
U all have made our ancestors proud. Thank you. ❤🖤💚
Need to be in a collective like this creatively before the casket drops...Vision on the board. Writing/Acting/Directing/Producing...something! Need to reshape the circle to be in shape when this opportunity presents itself.
Thank you so much for this round table, and this movie! I saw it several times, every character was played phenomenally.
Awe Deon... This broke my heart in so many ways... The proudness I'm certain of your Mom, I'm so sad yet happy at the same time. I know the feeling, there's so much I wanted to do before my Mom left. But your Mom is with you Hun ❤.
The Perfect Roundtable of Great Icons and Beautiful Vanguard!!!
I really thought that Wiley was talking to Ruffus when he was eating that steak. I was so done when he was sitting there alone. But it was a dope scene
God, I hope they make another one because I love it.
One of my favorite
This movie was so beautifully made.
My home town Chicago boy Deon Cole!
When Black people shine, they shine DIFFERENT. Wonderful movie and wonderful discussion 💯
Do another film with most of the same cast ... please and thank you
a Labour of Love. period.
The director of this movie gives me mad genius vibes. Dude is the reincarnation of Wu Tan Clan’s ODB.
